This place needs a serious remodel. I read some of the negative reviews before booking this hotel. I thought that people were being too picky or had expectations too high. NO! They were right. The rooms at this place are terrible. Don't let the pictures fool you. Our AC unit wouldn't cool the room. The mini-fridge was either too cold or not cold enough. […] The TV was at least 25 years old. WiFi was not even worth having. The whole room was filthy. The only nice things I can say: It is very close to Universal, they have a decent free breakfast and the hotel staff was very polite. There are so many other hotels in this area please choose one of those. Stay away from this one! You'll thank me later. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, EVER!!! 더 보기

We booked through hotels.com and still got charged for each day an additional service charge. The room had water stain throughout the ceiling and the bathroom is in need of renovation with rust on the shower handle. I will not be staying at this hotel again. The only good I can say, is the towels and linens were clean.

First when we entered the room, the lights were not working. Called the front desk and was told they would send someone right out, they did not come till the next day. The bath tub had dirt from the last occupant's skin still clinging to it. I asked for some cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself because they did not do a good job the first time around. […] Behind the toilet where the plumbing met the wall there was toilet paper stuffed there as if to rectify a leak. The beds were uncomfortable and the remote did not work, we received a new remote the next day. The front desk staff were not very friendly and some of their uniforms were a dingy white and unironed. They were a true reflection of what the room would be like. For breakfast there was not much of a variety, we received sausage on both days. One of my party did not eat sausage and had to go without. Needless to say I would not be back, I actually booked this hotel in error, I meant to go to country inns and suites. 더 보기

I recently purchased 4 rooms at this hotel. I was looking for a hotel which provided free transportation to/from Universal Studios and which had a restaurant/bar. Although these things are clearly mentioned in the description of amenities, we found it to be untrue upon arrival. The shuttle only runs during the day and the restaurant was a gift shop […] while the bar was a cooler behind the lobby desk which sold cans of beer. 더 보기

Excellent location, but the hotel left a lot to be desired. Although not a TOTAL dump, it comes close. Only stay here if you want a cheap deal which is exactly what you get. The free breakfast was Ok but get there early and plan on waiting in a long line.

Our stay at the hotel was very comfortable and nice the only thing I was unhappy with was the house keeping. when they knocked on the door they didn't give us a chance to say anything .they just walked in on my husband and I in the bed. and befor we went out I put the do not disturb sign on the door. but they went in our room anyways

Condition of room could of been better! Bathroom needed to repainted and there was some ants on the bathroom counter.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good. Personnel were friendly and helpful. The Location was convenient. THe one difficulty was that there is always a lot of traffic in that area.

Everything in life is a Work In Progress. The staff was nice. The Hotel was very close to Park. Breakfast was ok for me; may I suggest adding something like grits and potatoe cubes for vegetarans? At checkout, I mentioned the malfunctioning restroom and mold and was offered the have the $8 taxes waived...oh wow, $8, still an unexpected and kind gueture. […] There was hair in the tub, the shower had spewed water at the connection, the room was a bit dusty. Oh and by the way, that $8. plus $0.42 charge has cleared my credit card account confirmation code: 2461043QT231XJ2NT852. Integrity and trust are important to consumers. I really feel like I wasted my money in this hotel. Overall it was very dirty. It was scary to step on the carpet. There was hair all over the bathroom ( we had to do some cleaning. My parents room was actually worse. They charge you for a resort fee when this hotel should be classified as cheap motel. Breakfast was good; but we got it denied at 9:40. […] We were told it was until 10:00am but because they had to clean, they started earlier. The lady actually told us to get up earlier. I am grateful to the personnel. They were all helpful and did not complain, even when I did something that caused one of them extra work. The room and breakfast were very good. Thank you.

The only complain was that it was crowded during the holidays, a long line to get breakfast.

Rooms were dirty. The bedsheet were not clean.

Hotel maid was very rude. I asked for an extra towel because there were only 2 in the room and she said NO, she has no extra one. There were two of us staying in the room, me and my husband. I have never heard of a hotel not having extra towels. It's unacceptable to me. Will never stay at Comfort Inn again.

We stay at Comfort Inn to be close by Universal Studios for Halloween Horror Nights. The hotel is like 5 minutes away from Universal. The room was clean and comfortable. We did not have to travel far after a long day at the park. Your staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Thank you Helaine

Please dont go this hotel. This hotel was full of bed bugs. I do agree for the price we should not expect luxurious services but atleast not bed bugs . We had initally booked for 4 nights but we moved after our first sleepless night with full of bed bug bites. Whole night we woke up 4 to 5 times scratching our hands and feet. The next day my husband […] could not work and i could not go to conference. I will never go for a cheap hotel next time. i have stayed at may hotels in many states but this is the worst experience we ever had in our life. 더 보기

The service was okay, the location is perfect, but honestly I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone. My room was not very clean, there was hair on toilet seat and in the sink. The door to my room was shaky and was secure very well. The AC did not work half the time and after calling MANY times to front office for two days, a maintainence guy finally […] came by and looked at it but did not fix it. It had a funky smell in the air. The swimming pool was dirty, the water was merky and wasn't clear at all. There was hair floating around in the water and many dirty particals. The breakfast was hot and good though. The hotel wanted to charge us a benjamin franklin to use their meeting room for a half hour so our youth group could get together and have a bible study. The only good things I can say is that the location was perfect, breakfast was hot, and front desk lady was nice. Everything else was not good. I would not stay back there if it was a free night. I would suggest spend an extra few bucks a night and go to a much cleaner hotel across the street. 더 보기

Great stay both times we have stayed

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel for our 3 yr anniversary. The price was very good for what we got. The room was very clean, bed was comfy and clean, the employees were very helpful and friendly, and the location was just perfect. Sand Lake is parallel with International, so there was some traffic near us, but the location was great, […] not even 10 minutes away from Universal Studios, and of course very close to all restaurants. Instead of complaining about the bad Air conditioner, no one cared to attend to it or give us a different room. Garbage cans, dripping water and stinking elevators. Even with advance booking had to wait to get the rooms.

called ahead to let the know we'd be checking in later.. got there .. room was not cleaned, bed not made.. shampoo bottles empty, soap .. used... called front desk.. no one came... had to go down and almost got in argument to get room changed. i know its not a 5 star.. but stayed in Comfort Inns before.. expected more..

NOT AS CLEAN AS I WOULD HAVE LIKE IT. BUT WAS WORTH THE PRICE I PAID.

The air conditioning in the room didn't work. Can you imagine a room in Florida without air conditioning? The hotel manager said sorry, but wouldn't switch rooms or make sure it was fixed. The other problem was the pool was supposed to be closed at 10PM. Obviously that never happened and the partying went on in the pool till after 3AM, giving us no […] sleep. 더 보기

For the price the hotel was pretty good. but the bathroom was disgusting, pubic hair in the bathtub. breakfast was removed 10 minutes before 10 am.

The hotel did not seem very safe to me and the room did not look the same as it did on-line. They need to do some work on the inside and outside of the hotel.

Stayed twice recently. 1st time, it wasn't bad. The 2nd time, it wasn't good. If the 2nd had been the 1st, there wouldn't have been a 2nd! Location good. Breakfast pretty good. Pool good. Some rooms better than others. As I said, the 1st time the room was fine. Only problem was that the remote control didn't work, but they were very quick to bring […] another. The 2nd time, however, the room was not so good. Things were in disrepair, or never even finished, like carpet in corners, leaving "insides" exposed - things that give you a creepy feeling - older furnishings, etc. There were towels, etc., missing, & no remote control at all. This time, I had to call, wait an hour, call again, wait awhile longer, before these were brought to the room. There also was a lot of noise right outside the room late at night. So, overall, not so pleasant. But a good deal, at least, as long as you don't plan to spend much time in the room. 더 보기

I found the property to be a bit rundown. Could use some updates to the rooms. Pool was nice

Room 258 must have been the only room left for reservation, the room furniture was old and peeling, some places in the room had holes and the television was so old it had no remote control, only 2 buttons for control worked which did not include the volume. We reserved 2 rooms. One room was extremely dirty. Hair and dirt in the bathtub, no toliet tissue. I realize that they are remodeling, but that does not excuse dirty rooms. Get new cleaning help or something.

I reseved at this hotel by mistake.....I thought I was reserving at the same hotel I had previously stayed at. However, I was not impressed by this hotel....it is more of a MOTEL than hotel. There is nothing "HOTEL" about this place. Funky smell in the room and the rug can use a good wash than your typical vacuum.
