service was very poor. staff was unfriendly and didn't seem to care. I asked for a quiet room, away from the freeway, the girl understood but then gave me a room next to the freeway anyway. She gave me another room. This time, it was on the second floor, right above the bar and at top of the stairway (so much for quite room). Kids were running in the […] hallway, staff members should have asked them to quite down and respect other guests. Phone did not work and I had to walk down to the front desk. Maintenance were sent to fix but I was to tire to deal with it at the moment. Staff never bother to make an attempt to try get it fix. I would never stay here again or will I recommend it to anyone else. 더 보기

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly...the rooms were comfortable, clean, and BIG! We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast...such a great variety of food and delicious. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and we will return the next time we need accommodations in the area!

Very comfortable, friendly staff, very clean and breakfast buffet was superb. Definitely will go back.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I went with my kids and parents and we were all satisfied with the quality of service. The room size accomidated all of us fine. I have to say my favorite acommidations were the full buffet breakfast and computer room with internet and printers. I would use Plaza Suites again.

Nice rooms

We had excellent service at the front desk and our experience at this hotel was VERY positive. Everyone was very nice, greeted us every time we came in. When their shuttle was unavailable, paid my husband's Taxi fare from the San Jose airport. We enjoyed the cocktail time from 5-7pm, which was a plus. I really liked this hotel. Clean and comfortable with a great pool. Easy access to the freeway. My only complaint was that the free breakfast was heavy on rich food and they did not serve any yogurt which was disappointing. You pay for an internet connection by device but it does not cost much. I would stay there again.

Clean, great room, well-maintained.

I stayed at this hotel for business. The free drinks and breakfast were great! But, the best thing was they sent their shuttle to pick me up from the airport. And, the next day they used their shuttle to take me to the convention center, then picked me up from the convention center, brought my luggage (no extra fee to store bags), and took me to the […] airport for my flight. All of this with a pleasant attitude and no extra charges. The room was perfect. All the amenities were fine. I ordered room service and the food was good. Only one complaint, the restaurant was not open until 5:00 pm, which meant I could not order lunch. But there is a El Torito close by which had a lunch buffet. WiFi was present, but was intermittent. Very clean hotel, roomy suite, breakfast was very good, and the location was very quiet. The proximity to Santa Clara University wasn't too far and the price was perfect. We will stay there again.

When I was looking for a hotel in the area my main concern was a hotel with a shuttle. I was told there was a shuttle so I booked a room. Exactly two weeks before I arrived I called to confirm my stay and that the shuttle was still available for the morning I leave. I told the lady on the phone that my flight departs at 7am and was told not to worry. During […] check in I asked for a wakeup call at 5am and wanted to confirm the shuttle would be there at 5:30am. I was told by the gentleman at the desk that there was no shuttle until 6:30am normally but on Saturdays it doesn't begin until 7am. It was upsetting considering I confirmed the shuttle multiple times and was told not to worry. I asked the gentleman to have a cab called for me at 5:30am which he said he would do. While I was on my way to my room I actually had to push aside a large pile of dirty bed linens or step over them to get to continue down the hall to my room. Later on my way out I kicked them out of the way. What kind of hotel and responsible management/housekeepers allow their dirty laundry to be thrown into the hallways with no one around to pick them up for a half of an hour? GROSS! Just before I went to sleep I tried to call to confirm my wakeup call and that there would be a car waiting for me. When I dialed I could hear the person but they could not hear me so I had to get dressed and go to the front desk. When I arrived I asked another gentleman to confirm to me that I had a wakeup call at 5:30 and that I would have a car waiting. He told me there is a wakeup call but had no record of me wanting a car!!! So he told me he would make sure that would happen. I told the gentleman about the phone (he told me there was another other phone in the other room) and about the coffee maker that was unable to make coffee. He offered to send someone up to fix the problems. I was ready to go to sleep and not wanting someone poking around my room for as long as it would take to fix problems and it wasn't anything 더 보기

My stay was great enjoyed it very much. I wood stay there again. The winter special to stay was in my budget , thank you. If next time I can get a room again at a good rate will stay. Thank you Alma

Hotel room was very nice. We stayed in a King Suite. Everything was new and attractive. Hotel staff was pleasant. They had an above average breakfast - full hot buffet with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, pancakes, french toast, etc. Would stay there again if I were in the area.

Great experience was give an up grade room at no increase expence to me. All the staff are very helpful and a very nice free breakfast (and 2 drinks in the bar). Highly recommend!

Great hotel and THE most convenient for families travelling to Northwestern University. GREAT service, restaurant, car service to airport, (thanks Hennery) and roomy, high quality room. I will stay here many times if my son chooses to attend NU. Super hotel experience.

I made a request to stay in lower floor after I stayed here a couple weeks ago I had a such experience. first check in was grate. But an arrival no lower floor room is availble. Our bathroom smelled so bad had to ask front to change the shower curtain. only two towles were in the room for two adults. Happy hour is a joke. we asked for diet coke it's […] so flat it was pretty bad. Moment of the hightlight, from Midnight, my husband called 4 times to the front desk about loud music had been played for at least an hour seems like front did not know what to do. Hotel had polite staff. Nice to have the extra room, frig, etc. Nice bedding although bed was a little too hard for me! Nice to have a full breakfast including in the price of the stay. Free parking.

Well it started off good checked in with no problem, but thats when it went all bad. Went to the store to get champayne being that it was new years eve. When we returned we were locked out of our room, the key would not work. maintence came tried 5 times could not open it. Count down came and went still locked out. Finally get in tried to enjoy the […] rest of the nite. They gave us a free room to use at a different time. So that made it a little better. After all that a week later they charged my card $75.00 dollars for the phone deposit after telling me it would not be charged. Wow. 더 보기

Price was right, location was good, complimentary breakfast was good. I plan to stay there again when my business brings me back to Santa Clara area.

Easy to find and the parking was very close and free. The hotel was beautiful and rooms were awesome. I felt as if I were staying at an expensive hotel but with the internet deal I got an amazing price too. Breakfast was amazing as well, anything you want cooked to order and all of it FREE! Can't get better than that. I give it a 9.5 out of 10!!!

I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay there again. The breakfast is wonderful.

I gave the front desk my reservation, even asked them about the Executive Suite. Was told I would be getting this room. Did not realize that I was given a normal room until I attempted to use the wifi (Executive rooms have free wifi) When I went to the front desk They offered to comp the wifi but would not comp the difference on the room (Since I did […] not even get to use it) It took 30 minutes to get the manager to come out and give me the difference. I would stay there again. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was helpful and very professional.

We found this to be pretty kid friendly for our toddler. The rooms are quiet and fairly noise-proof (we hope!) and the fact that we could shut the bedroom door off from the rest of the suite meant we could put her to bed and then have a few minutes to ourselves. The only downside was that the rooms were very warm and dry, and the thermostat didn't really […] care that we changed it. The breakfast during the week is definitely better than the breakfast on the weekend, but still tasty, and everything a kid could want. We reserved a 2 double room, but the room they gave us was a king, which would not have worked for our family of 4. The friendly front desk staff quickly gave us the correct room, which was larger than the king room and clean as far as we could see. I didn't take a shower, so I can't attest to that (I'm picky about water pressure, etc), but I like that […] the sink was separate from the toilet and shower room. The beds were a little hard, but not lumpy or terribly uncomfortable, and we liked that it had a separate bedroom, so the kids could go to bed, and we could stay up and read or watch TV. It was a great location, a little far off the highway, but no big deal. The breakfast was better than anticipated with a do-it-yourself waffle maker (star in my book!) and chefs in the kitchen to make your eggs and/or omelette and breakfast meat... which was all included in the breakfast at no additional charge!!! Overall, it was a great hotel, in a great location (less than 15 minutes from downtown San Jose) with a better-than-your-average hotel breakfast. My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night, the front desk was friendly and helpful.. They had a big parking garage and was very close to lots of attractions like the movie theatre and a theme park. This was my first stay at Plaza Suites and I was very pleased with the facility, my room and hotel services. I like the location as it is about a five-minute drive to the San Jose Airport and easily accessible to Highway 101.

Rooms itself are lot smaller than indicated in the description. They are not as huge as its shown. Compared to Embassy Suites, the living room & bedrooms are much smaller. Breakfast is mediocre and staff is not extremely friendly....polite but not very customer service oriented. Did find some hair in my sink upon arrival in plain sight. We stayed here while in town for a football game. The hotel was clean, reasonably priced and comfortable. The only part that wasn't comfortable was the sofa bed, but the king bed was great. There were 2 people at check in and neither one really knew what they were doing and they were both very rude. I was finally given keys to the room and when I got to my room it wasn't the smoking room I had booked on Hotels.com. I immediately called down to the desk and she said that Hotels.com did not report to them my request for a smoking room. I […] told her I would be down to show her my reservation and she told me to wait in that room to see if she could find me a smoking room. After 10 minutes she called back and said she had a smoking room for me. I then showed her my reservation with Hotels.com and she was still giving me attitude. Everything else about the stay was pretty good. Their bathrooms could use some grout touch ups but overall not a bad stay. The cook to order breakfast during the week is nice as well as the weekend continental breakfast. You are also given 3 free drinks a night at the bar from 5-7.
