The stay was very nice.

My husband and I loved staying here. The employees were really nice. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The location is great near restaurants, and shopping, also great access to I-25.

My family arrived in Colorado Springs for my son's funeral. My husband, daughter, three grandchildren and I were there for a week and other family came for a few days. The service was wonderful even before they knew of our loss, but after they realized the circumstances they went out of their way to accommodate us. We were able to congregate at the […] lovely breakfast served every morning, and to the lobby around the fireplace at night. They worked to get my daughter and my rooms close together so I could help her with the grandchildren after her husband left shortly after the funeral, but we stayed on for a couple more days. This will be the place I stay whenever I come to visit my son's grave and the many dear friends I have in Colorado Springs. 더 보기

This hotel is awesome. Great comfortable rooms, quiet, great food and drinks on premise and the breakfast deal is perfect. And it is a great price with GREAT views of the mountains

My only complaint is that my bathroom had mold in the shower and on the ceiling. Other then that it was a nice hotel with an indoor pull and a resturant in the lobby that was open to 10 pm. And lots of resturants and fastfood near the hotel.

The hotel and room were very clean. The breakfast was wonderful, hot and plentiful. The service was friendly, timely and helpful. The toilet in the bathroom was not bolted to the floor and the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off the walls. It shows signs of age and neglect.

Very clean room, friendly staff, comfy atmosphere in general and the best complimentary breakfast in the state!

we were there for a very tragic death in our family. the staff was outstandidng, the breakfast buffet was amazing. we enjoyed the lobby where we could gather around the fireplace. thank you for your wonderful service

After reading the reviews, I expected a good experience and really got one. The staff at checkin was friendly and effecient. Our room was very clean was well eqippped. The room furniture was well used but was more than required. Our bed was on the firm side and was comfortable. The breakfast, ahhh the breakfast was outstanding. The hotel worked out great for our family gathering. We had family members come from AZ, WA, UT, NJ and were all able to book rooms at this hotel. The breakfast was wonderful. The only thing that was uncomfortable were the bath towels - they were dingy and very rough.

If you're planning on doing a lot of tourist type stuff in the Colorado Springs area this is a great location. 20 minutes from pikes peak, seven falls, cheyenne mountain zoo, etc. It was a great central location. The only gripe about the hotel was that if you called down to the front desk to ask for anything (extra towels, maintenance, etc) was that […] it took awhile for them to actually follow through. For the price we got the Academy Hotel was very nice. They have a indoor-heated pool that the kids LOVED and they have one of the best breakfasts of any other hotel I have stayed in (hot buffet induces eggs, made to order omelets, sausage, fruit, etc...) all the staffs were extremely friendly. renovated couple years ago, clean sheets.. absolutely the best hotel. breakfast omelets were amazing.

The location couldnt have been better. It's right off the interstate, any store you could need is within minutes and tons of food places are within reach. The room was smaller than I had hoped for, and the bathroom was "minimally" renovated--small. However, there was a second vanity outside of the bathroom which helps. Had a great time! Immacualte, superb service, unbelievable breakfast, clean pool & sauna, and the perfect room. Only thing I'd change is the choice of TV channels.

I was there one night and booked on hotels.com - had to stay an extra night after an extension of a hospital stay and called to ask for the same rate - they were so nice and accommodating. We booked a night at The Academy Hotel based on online reviews, and we were not disappointed. It is an older hotel, but well-kept. Friendly staff and ice water and cookies on check-in. The bathroom was on the small side, but clean and adequate. We were pleased at how comfortable the beds were; we slept very well. Overall the hotel was nice, it was in a good location. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was with the restaurant and room service. We asked to put an order for take out from the restaurant on our room and we were told the computers weren't working to come back in 20 minutes. We paid because we didn't want to come […] back. Then the next evening we again asked to charge the amount to our room and then we were told they couldn't do that, the restaurant isn't connected to the hotel. My husband went to the front desk and asked about it, and they told him if he ordered through room service they would charge it to the room. We tried to do that and were told we couldn't order the special, prime rib, through room service. The room had a laminated picture with the prime rib and the room service number under it. We again went to the front desk to ask what was going on, and no one could really answer us. ?? They need to get their stories straight. 더 보기

Was very surprised that they actually had a full breakfast buffet. Bathroom was clean but partial packet of shampoo was left in the shower. Room very quiet.

very nice hotel good location

Nice family-owned hotel, great breakfast, friendly staff. The only thing that would make it better was improving the bedding. While clean and of good quaity, the bottom sheet did not tuck under the mattress. However, the "good" of this hotel definately far outweigh this one negative.

Beautiful place with a lot of potential for upgrades! Food is excellent and affordable. Had coffee and soft serve available in the lobby. Pool was on an odd location...right as you enter the lobby. We didn't go in because there was no privacy and there were like 2 dozen kids in it. Our room was in need of upgrade, the bed was hard. The rooms are also […] suppose to be sound proof but we could clearly hear the neighbors dogs yelping all night and day long in the next room which was adjoined to ours. I have stayed at this family owned hotel several times over the last three decades. Each time, I have been completely satisfied. The staff is always nice. The rooms are always nice. The atrium, pool, restaurant, and bar area are always nice. The free "made to order" omelets on top of free real waffle iron waffles nicely completed an already good breakfast […] buffet. The location is easy on and off interstate. Lastly, the consistent value make The Academy Hotel my first choice when in the Colorado Springs area, and one of my best hotel tips for friends and business relationships. Great Job. 더 보기

By far one of the best places I have been too. They had a beautiful lobby, great service, great breakfast. The only thing I had issues with was that the rooms looked like they hadn't been updated on 10-15 years...other than that great place...highly recommend it.

Going back for two nights this coming weekend.

I had students from Europe and my own son for spring break. Staying at this hotel was wonderful - pool was amazing, breakfast - "a spiritual experience"!! The staff were so kind, Thank you so much!!!

What the hotel lacks in appearance on the outside, the friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, and location more than makes up for. We will definitely stay here again. The price was great, the room was modern and comfortable. They also allowed pets.

This was a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. The pool was also nice and hot tub was relaxing. The breakfast was amazing and we couldn't ask for more with the breakfast. We will stay here whenever we visit Colorado Springs.

I had a great stay, all the amenities were great, service was impeccable and loved the blackout shades for sleeping and quiet. I would recommend this hotel and the rates are great!
