딕시 할리우드 (The Dixie Hollywood) - 로스앤젤레스

호텔이라 하지만 모텔입니다. 평점이 좋지 못한건 위치외에 장점이 크지 않고 호텔도 아닙니다. 위치도 할리우드를 걸어다닐 거리도 아닙니다. 침구, 가구도 낡았고 욕실도 어둡고 낡은 욕조가 기분이 좋지 않습니다. 걸어다니는 소리와 옆방 말소리도 들리지만 뭐 참을수는 있는 정도입니다. 겨울이라 추워도 틀어놓은 히터는 먼지 잔뜩하고 기침을 심하게 유발합니다. 조직은 슈퍼에서 파는 빵이랑 커피 딸랑입니다. 당연히 편히 먹을 공간이 없어서 들고 방에 가서 먹여야 하고요. 이 호텔때문에 미국 마지막 날 완전히 망쳐버렸습니다. 저녁비행기 타기전 짐을 잠시 맡겨두려했더니 딱 잘라 거절하더군요. 3일 묵은 손님 가방 몇 시간을 못 맡겨준다니 […] 제가 여러 곳을 다녔지만 이런곳은 처음입니다. 짐 맡길때 없어 하루를 날렸으니 장점이 보이지도 않네요. 완전 terrible!! 더 보기

좀 안좋은 평들이 있어서 걱정도 약간 했었는데요 위치는 정말좋습니다 지하철이 바로앞이구요 헐리우드와 그로브몰까지 바로가는 버스가있어서 해가 진 후에도 다닐수있었습니다 여자 둘이라서 가기전에 많이 걱정했거든요~ 주변은 밤엔 좀 무서운편이지만 너무 늦게가 아니라면 괜찮았던것 같습니다 방이 꽤 큰 편이라 굉장히편했지만 옆방에서 하는말이 한마디한마디 다 들려 시끄러울때도 있었습니다 직원들은 무지 친절합니다

Hotel used to be a Day's Inn when I was here a year ago, but it just recently finished renovation. Rooms are fairly clean, I really liked the hardwood floor instead of carpets. IT WAS OKAY.

Not the cleanliest place on earth but for a good price it is well located for everything in Hollywood and right near a subway station. The continental breakfast was very week though.

Although it is under new management, I was even more impressed this year than I was last year. The rooms are more than comfortable and the price is very reasonable. The walk is easy to get to prime "downtown" Hollywood areas. Places to eat very close by. Hotel management very courteous and accommodating.

Overall the experience was good nothing crazy. The folks at the reception were helpful and polite. The location of the hotel is close to hollywood blvd ( not walking distance though) . The price is close to other motels in LA.

This is an adequate hotel in a convenient location for getting around LA. Its about 100 metres from a metro train station. They have good tv's in their rooms and there is a Ralphs supermarket right across the road. We just came from a 2 night stay at the Dixie. We drove up at night and the motel is sketchy looking. It's in renos so there's a blue bin out front, etc. However, the front staff is very friendly and the room was wonderful! When I enquired about the continental breakfast, I got the impression they wanted people to go elsewhere. We did go to Angelz next […] door one morning and had a wonderful breakfast for around $5-6 ea. It's a little mom and pops place. Good food, good service. We weren't told about the LA marathon going by and were stuck at the hotel for 1 morning which wasn't much appreciated. the one thing that really upset me was that there was a marathon which the street was going to be close and no one ever said this when I booked the hotel this was a city even Im sure the hotel had been notified week in advance and they did not let the people know and some people were stuck for the whole day in the hotels parking lot..... the beds were […] too hard no support at all and there was 4 of us sharing a room and they only gave us 3 towels will not be staying there again 더 보기

Though the hotel was under construction at the time the inside decor and comfort of the room was incredible! The construct didn't start too early in the morning and didn't effect our stay in anyway.

Great funky little Hotel with very friendly & helpful staff & close to Metro which made getting around very easy for myself and my 10 year old.

got a lot more then expected at the Dixie, newly renovated rooms and reception was being done while we were there .. all staff where lovely and pleasant! rooms were spotless, spacious and new! Great location on Hollywood blvd! Definietly recommend this place to others

I cut my stay short at the Dixie..the room was filthy! The neighborhood was scary ..I slept on top of the covers with one eye open because of the uncleanliness. Also, the hotel was noisy so..all in all...I would NEVER return or recommend it to anyone.. it certainly doesn't deserve 3 stars.

I read many reviews before booking a hotel in Hollywood, I have had scary experiences in the past. We were there the night before the Academy Awards, so we were expecting nothing more than a place to stay. We were so pleasantly surprised. Yes this is a renovated Days Inn, but it was clean, smelled good, great bed and bedding, great TV. All was good. […] Parking was included and was safe. Across the street was a Ralph's to pick up essentials and transportation was right there so we didn't have to use our car at all. Remember it is Hollywood but all was great! Constantly Woke by road noises and sirens even though we were in one of the rooms futhest from the road . It's still Being renovated so a lot of builders on site. These builders were still walking around at 3-4am being noisy, I even once had to get up and tell them to be quiet. It's not a hotel it's motel , the breakfast they provide is awful (being […] English I do not appreciate spray on butter for my toast) . Not too bad location from the main attractions but don't walk it get the subway. To walk takes about 30 mins. Supermarket across the road is good but the room only has a fridge and microwave so u either have to eat out or get a microwave meal. 더 보기

While I knew not to expect a luxury hotel, the room itself was a bit disappointing. As soon as we got in our room, I noticed many things off the bat: I found several long hairs on the bed, which were neither of ours; there was not a closet or a dresser or even a nightstand with drawers to put our clothes in; the side tables were covered in a layer of […] dust as though our room hadn't been occupied in quite some time, as was the coffee maker, which I refused to use; the shower curtain rod was falling off, as was the in-wall tissue box holder. I'm generally not so picky about my hotel room because all I need is a clean bed and shower as I don't spend that much time in the room, but all of these combined was a total turn off. I also found it odd that the duvet did not have a cover, but was sandwiched in between two plain white sheets and had a what looked like a table runner across it as decoration. I have stayed in many hotels. Some nice, some not so nice. This hotels was one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed at. When we walked into our room, it smelled like chemicals. It was so strong, my mom instantly had a headache. The "wood" floors had hair and dirt all over!! When I called front desk, I saw black hair on the top blankets as well. […] I was grossed out and he told me I could switch rooms. We checked into another room that still had an unpleasant odor, but not so strong. We left the door open for about an hour so most of it cleared out. Same problem with the floors though. I walked to the front desk and asked him for a broom. He told me that he could have someone sweep for us in 20 minutes and I told him that I would clean it myself. (If that was the way that they "cleaned" the room in the first place, I know that I would do a better job!!! ) I have never had to clean my own hotel room before and I was livid that I had payed to stay there. We had to disinfect the toilet as well because there were black marks on the seats that came off with some srcubbing. What made it worse was that I had my 4 year old niece with me and I didn't want her touching anything!!!! Impossible for a child. Her socks were dark brown after about an hour. I made her sleep on TOP of the bedding because I wasn't taking any chances. Worst hotel experiance of my life. The only thing that was at all pleasant was the starff. They were friendly. I would NEVER STAY HERE and I will warn everyone of this hotel. I can stay in a motel 6 and be fine. I have stayed at many 2 star hotels that have been cleaner. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! 더 보기

The Dixie seems to be still a work in progress. Our room had a fresh coat of paint but felt more like a aged motel (old fixtures, mold in the bathroom) rather than the spiffy place the website would lead you to believe. The location of the hotell was great. The room was nice, clean and big. The breakfast, however, was not good. I reccomend this hotell, especially if you are going to see "Walk of Fame" and Universal Studios (the Metro to Universal was 100 meter outside the hotel)

This hotel was great! It was clean, front desk staff was awesome and very helpful as we were new tourists to the city. They helped us set up a hollywood tour and told us good places to eat. The underground metro system is right around the corner and very convenient to get to hollywood attractions. The ONLY downside to this hotel is the paper thin walls. […] It literally felt like our neighbors were having a conversation in our room. i found the staff, especially loida, to be excellent and quite helpful!

They call thierselves a Hotel, when they are a motel. The pool was not heated and it 80 degrees. I've stayed at the Hilton, Fremont for Thanksgiving and the pool & hot tub were heated. And thier breakfast was a joke. No tables or chairs and you had to cook your own waffle, that took over 3min. They should check out THE DOWNTOWNER just up the street. […] The pool is heated, they have balconys for smokers. And a pretty good breakfast, eggs, bacon, and the rest for the same price. We stayed at the Dixie Hollywood Hotel for 2 nights and it adequately served it's purpose. It is very basic and enough for putting your head down after a long day of sight-seeing. I would describe it more of a motel than a hotel as all the rooms are accessed from the outside. The room had all the amenities that we required however if you're after the […] flashy power shower or a four poster bed then this isn't the place for you. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was because the metro station is literally a 2 minute walk and an all day rider ticket costs $5 per person so it was ideal for us. This ticket allows you to travel around most of LA including the Walk of Fame and Universal Studio. The hotel is quite far from the LAX Airport, it takes a good 45 minutes and cost us in the region of about $60 for a one-way taxi fare however this worked out better than hiring a car and putting up with the LA traffic! I'd recommend this hotel again even though it is located in the Thai district of LA and there isn't much in the local vicinity apart from Thai restaurants! 더 보기

We stayed 3 nights at the Dixie in jan '12 ....it's motel style on the quieter end of Hollywood Blvd. beside the metro station. 2 stops from Manns chinese theatre etc.,3 stops from Universal studios.. .The hotel is obviously still undergoing a facelift [it used to be a Days hotel] and it's perfectly placed for a visit to this part of L.A. ...

Positives- The hotel itself was undergoing renovations when we stayed there but it was still clean and comfortable. The location, if you have a car, is great as most things (Disneyland, Six Flags, Staples Centre, Beverly Hills, the beach) are all within 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. If you don't have a car, the metro station, which runs into […] Hollywood, is only 200 metres away and only costs $5 for a 24 hour ticket. Negatives- A lot of people seem to stay there on the weekends to party, so it can get pretty noisy with people being noisy at 4am, but the staff try to calm it down quickly. Hollywood Blvd is, for lack of a better term, gross, with marijuana shops, tattoo parlours and strippers attire making up the majority of the stores along the Walk of Fame. Traffic anywhere in LA can be a nightmare. If you plan to drive, allow an extra 20-30 minutes to get there if you're heading into or past the city. 더 보기

My kids stayed there and had a wonderful time in the neighborhood, restaurants, markets, clubs. They were particularly pleased at the cleanliness of the hotel.

This hotel was remodeled to LOOK nice. They used buget materials to spruce up this former name brand hotel. The breakfast room was horribly dirty and they had a very slim selection for the hungry crowd. + Don't let the pool fool you...

The hotel was in ok condition. For the price we paid, it was poor. The surrounding area was scary, and the location of hotel was ok. It was fairly close to some LA tourist sights

Location is convenient & easy, close to the popular hot spots & near the major roads & high ways. Rooms are modern decore, flat screen LCD tv & hardwood floors give it a clean feeling. Except they forgot to update the inroom phones from the 70's. But who uses landlines anymore rite? Free WiFi & free parking is a rare but a welcome convenients. Outlets had no covers, shower head was set for a midget so to shower you have to duck under the head. Breakfast if you could call it that was nasty!! Bed was good, other then that, it's another Hollywood dump!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Dixie. I found that the hotel was really clean and modern which I loved. I like the fact that the floors were hardwood. I plan to stay again.

I booked a room here for my mom and she was very comfortable. The place is recently renovated so it's pretty clean. Even though it's on Hollywood Boulevard the noise is not loud in the rooms. Close to subway system and across the street from a supermarket and shopping center. All in all, very satisfied. Helpful and friendly staff as well....

Room was great, staff was great Did not like to have to pay for the ice from the machine, but the parking was great. I would recommend this hotel to others. We were there for the price is right show

Great value here and the rooms were nice and came with fridge, microwave, laminate flooring etc. Breakfast was nothing special and only served until 9:30am. Kind of far from the action on Hollywood Blvd (down in the Thai Town section) but still a nice area and super close to the subway. Door between the room and the parking lot had a large gap which […] allowed floors to get pretty dirty (dust/smog etc) accumulating on the floor quickly. No thermal control setting, only hi and low heating and the heater is very loud.

Nice and comfortable room. Would stay here again!
