Just like being at home. Very friendly staff, loved the afternoon tea in the sitting room, good exercise room, and the room was especially comfortable and relaxing. The bed and pillows were superior.

Very nice get away. Real new England feel w fireplace crumpets and tea. Rooms were very nice too.

Overall, this is one of the nicest hotel (for the price) that I have seen. Too bad they are missing a movie menu section.

This is a beautiful property, and can rival many European country hotels. We felt like we were in the French countryside while eating breakfast! Beautifully decorated, quiet, and extremely well-trained staff. Unfortunately, we were only there one night, but we are considering a longer return visit. This is a lovely facility. The rooms are incredibly spacious with reproduction antique furnishings. The one complaint is the dated look of the bathroom. It was tiled in 1950's pink with fake white marble vanity sink and floors. The hotel was built in the 1980's, I believe, so why does the bathroom look like it came from a 1950's ranch style house?  […] Bizarre. 더 보기

The Orchards Hotel is definitely the best choice in Williamstown. It is located on the main street in the town center. The hotel is luxiurious and the staff is attentive. Our room was beautiful as was the entire hotel. Breakfast on the terrace facing a pond and garden was delightful.

Hotel was a little bit dated but also had some old charm. A/C was broken the night we arrived and was fixed the next day. An apology was given but no discount was offered.

The room exceeded our expectations in every way. It was much like a suite- very spacious- and the padded window seat was a nice feature. Although it's summer and a gas fireplace wasn't necessary, it added to the atmosphere. There were great fold out reading lights over the bed, a refreigerator for your use, and a convenient sink in and out of the shower […] area. We were pleasantly surprised to return from an evening out to find our bed turned down with a plate of chocolate chip cookies and a tiny pot of lip balm. Even the ice bucket had been freshly filled. Breakfast outside on the patio in the morning was lovely, although the fresh fruit was a disappointment and the potatoes were somewhat burned. The only hotel interior drawback was the condition of the carpets on the stairs and hallway, which seemed a bit worn and soiled in places. Time to replace them I feel. 더 보기

The Orchards Hotel is nice enough and Williamstown is a lovely place to stay. I expected the hotel to be more elegant with a prettier setting, as it seemed from the pictures on the website. We were looking for a nice place to stay close to Lenox as we attended a James Taylor Concert on July 4th. The Orchards was a bit out of the way (~45 min) from the Concert at Tanglewood but well worth the drive! It would have cost us the same or more to stay at a large chain motel closer to Lenox but we wanted something failry nice. Well we definitly […] got that. I usually stay at chain hotels as I travel for business and I like to get the points for future use. However I couldn't get a chain hotel for my business in Williamstown, MA. The Orchards Hotel was a nice change from the chain hotels and it also had everything I like about chain hotels - free coffee in the morning, a fitness room and free wi-fi. The […] decor in the lobby and hallway is stunning, really nice, sort of old fashioned English hotel type. It had a library (no books though?) and the lobby had a piano and fireplace. All very tasteful yet also comfortable. I had a king room that looked out over the inner courtyard with wonderful landscaping. The room itself was quite large and the bed was very comfortable, the best part of the room, as it should be. It was generally clean and the bathroom was also quite clean. The desk was too small but there was also a table and chairs to use. The bed was huge, four poster with wonderful pillows, etc. The room could have used some updating, however. There was a stain on the carpet and the furniture (besdies the bed) was a bit worn down and ever so slightly tattered in places. And some of the fixtures seemed cheap and out of place. Overall though I would stay there again; it was no more expensive than other better chain hotels in the Western MA area at that time of year (early Spring). 더 보기

The Orchards was perfect for our last minute, low-budget getaway to the Berkshires. The hotel was extremely comfortable and charming, if ever-so-slightly dated. Clean as a whistle, though. We loved having a (gas) fireplace in our room, and wish we had more time to take advantage of the sauna and some of the other amenities. I would definitely stay here again. 10 minutes from MASSMOCA in one direction, and 10 minutes from Mezze (for a world class, locally sourced dinner) in the other, makes it an ideal location for exploring Williamstown and North Adams. 더 보기

The Orchards was a wonderful surprise: we arrived quite late, and were suprised with a free upgrade to a large courtyard room. The decor is tasteful and of good quality, with a distinct chintsy look of the 1980's. When we walked into our room, we found our beds turned out, with a plate of chocolate chip cookies and terry-cloth robes on our beds (the […] TV remote tucked into a pocket), and a classic TV movie on. Although it was almost 9 pm (closing time), the restaurant whipped up a lovely dinner highlighting local and organic ingredients. I was very impressed with the size of the room and the size of the bathroom - tub and shower. The fireplace really set the place above other hotels. I enjoyed the cookies on the bed. It was very peaceful and relaxing. I would say this is the best room i have ever stayed in.

Everything was just perfect...GREAT service...GREAT hotel...Excellent Dining Room.....Excellent Value for off season...off peak

The entire ambiance of the hotel is wonderful - from the cozy fireplace in the "great hall" with coffee and scones, to the twinkling lights in the garden, to the wonderful chaise and decor in our room. The bathroom was well appointed with an extra wash basin outside the bathroom. We would definately return.

This was a great experience. The hotel is beautiful and well-kept. The staff was super helpful, and that might have been the best bartender I have EVER met! Totally worth booking a trip.

My sisters and I were looking for a place where we could spend some quality time together, and we chose The Orchards because of the spacious rooms and nice common areas. It turned out to be exactly what we had wanted! And for just a few dollars more than the typical institutional chain or the seen-better-days mom-and-pop motel. For the high cost of this hotel, it was not worth it. Cracks in the ceiling and water damage in the paint on the walls. An old looking bathroom with a small ugly tub. While the room was very large (as was the hotel itself, with multiple 'public' rooms), I would have rather saved the money and stayed in a small B & B or motel.

Great place to stay! The staff, the room, the food...all top notch. If we are ever in the area again we will no doubt return to the Orchards.

After reading so many positive reviews I felt confident that this would be a special place to stay, but after experiencing it I just wanted to add my two cents to the pile of rave reviews. This is an incredible hotel. The space is so classic, clean, and comfortable you just want to settle into a sofa or chair in one of the lounge style rooms with a […] cup of tea and never leave. The staff was all friendly, quick to offer aid or advice on the hotel and area. Great restaurant catering to a discerning palate...but also offers options that children would enjoy (example a design your own pasta bar with a variety of pastas, sauces, and other add on ingredients) Rooms were very spacious and well furnished. I'd been traveling for business for 2 months by the time I reached this hotel and it made me feel like I was on vacation instead of working around the clock. Wished I could have stayed longer. 더 보기

There were rooms that felt like a private club. An afternoon tea featured scones and still warm chocolate chip cookies. The desk was a little thin on staff but everyone was eager to please and friendly. Huge room, bathroom had two vanities and separate shower and soaking tub. Beautiful interior courtyard and great menu at hotel restaurant.

The king size room was beautifully appointed with lovely amenities. The bath with separate stall shower was clean and bright with high quality soaps, shampoos and other vanity items as well. The Orchards in Williamston, Ma has a beautiful interior and lovely facilities. We stayed here as part of our College Tour. The hotel is just down the road from Williams College. Service was excellent. We also enjoyed the beautiful, albeit small, swimming pool. We will stay here again.
