Clean but very small space room. 2 people need queen size room at least. I think the manager is quite generous and reasonable but some people in the reception were not kind and generous to us. Good location in the city. One day room was not cleaned by cleaning lady's mistake so we used same bed cover sheet for two days (at that night reception said […] to me that they do not have people for other service but just new towels.) I got $20 refund from the manager due to the inconvenience. On first day at around 9AM a cleaning lady opened our room with her card by mistake. I thought it was quite rude but when I talked to reception, they just said it's technically impossible for someone to open other's room(then how to explain what has happened to my room??) and they would check things for us (but nothing heard from them later) 더 보기

방에 있으면 내가 크루즈나 보트를 타고 있다는 생각에 들었다. 너무 작지만 정말 효율적이었다. 디자인이 좋다. 사진과 달리 밝지는 않다. 아마도 내 방에 어두운 색깔이 칠해져서 그런지도. 모르겠다. 전반적으로 매우 귀엽고 편리하다. 다음에 또 오겠다.

작다. (뉴욕 기준으로도) 정말 작다. 하지만 그것이 이 호텔의 매력이다. 하룻밤이나 이틀밤을 지낼 수 있다면. 다음부터는 여기에서 계속 머무르게 될 것이다. 여자친구와 나는 Pod를 선택했는데 위치 때문이었다. 위치만 좋으면 호텔의 다른 단점은 모두 감수할 수 있다고 생각했다. 하지만 우리는 위치가 이상적일 뿐 아니라 호텔 그 자체도 정말 좋다는 사실을 깨닫고 정말 놀랐다 직원들은 친절하고 도움이 되었다. 현대적 장식, 젊음을 추구하는 고객들, 한정된 공간을 최대한 활용하는 혁신적 디자인. 그리고 무엇보다도 - 도시의 전망을 볼 수 있는 정말 좋은 옥상 데크가 이 호텔을 다른 호텔보다 돋보이게 만들었다. 말할 것도 없이, […] (NYC의 비싼 세계에서 상대적 얘기지만) 정말 싸다. 위치 면에서는 호텔에서 Central Park까지, 시내로 Chelsea, Times Square, Rockefeller Center까지 편하게 갈 수 있었다. 중심 위치에도 불구하고, Pod는 Times Square와 달리 교통량/관광객이 많지 않다. 그래서 더 진짜 NYC 동네같은 느낌이 난다. 호텔은 괜찮다. 유일한 문제는 매우 작은 방이었다. 그러나 침대가 내 키에도 불구하고 충분했다. 난 거의 2미터나 된다. 호텔은 깨끗하고, 벌레가 없고, 기타 등등. 위치는 훌륭했다. - Radio City & Rockfeller Plaza에서 도보 10분이고, 지하철 역에서 한 블록이고, 동네에 많은 카페/레스토랑이 있었다. 공용 화장실이 문제되지 않고 방에서 별로 시간을 보낼 생각이 없다면 좋은 선택이 될 것이다. 난 다음 NY 여행 때 이 호텔을 고려해 볼 것이다.

그 날짜대에서는 가장 싼 호텔이었다. 한 사람에게 적합했다. 방은 배에 있는 크루 레벨의 작은 방 같았다. 침대보가 정말 더러웠고, 담요는 오래됐고, 오래 사용한 것처럼 보였다. 담요를 덮을 톱시트도 없었다. 시트는 질이 좋지 않았다. 화장실 창에 커튼이 없어서 빛이 너무 많이 들어왔다. 복도는 너무 어둡고, 우중충하고, 더웠다. 제공되는 것에 비해 너무 비쌌다.

위치는 훌륭하다. 호텔 방과 욕실은 편리성을 염두에 두고 정말 정성스럽게 만들어졌다. 침대는 정말 편안하다. 방은 정말 작지만 가격과 위치가 이를 상쇄한다. 주된 불만이라면 에어콘이 약했던 것 같다. 날씨가 진짜 더웠다면 상당히 불편했을 것 같다.

Pod 호텔에서 이틀 지내면서 정말 악몽이었다. 방은 웹사이트에서 본 것보다 훨씬 작았다. 복도는 정말 시끄러웠다. 프런트 데스크에 있는 사람들은 별로 도움이 되지 않았고, 친절하지도 않았다. 사실 정말 예의가 없었다. 내가 만난 유일한 좋은 사람은 Rafael이라는 벨보이였다. 그는 정말 교양도 있었고, 도움이 되었다. 말할 필요도 없어 나는 이 호텔에 다시는 오지 않을 것이다. 그리고 물론 Hotels.com을 통해 예약하지도 않을 것이다.

2011. 5. 13. 금요일 Pod에 투숙했다. 솔직히 정말 최악을 기대했다. 내가 읽은 안좋은 리뷰 중 공용 화장실에 관한 모든 얘기와 13일의 금요일에 내가 생각했던 모든 이상현상이 발생한다는 것을 종합하면 앞으로 끔찍한 경험이 될 것이었다. 나는 회의로 도시에 있었고, 6시가 지나서야 체크인을 했다. 전체 과정은 정말 빠르고 고통이 없었다. 직원은 무뚝뚝하고, 간결하고, 매우 불친절했다.. 하지만.. 여긴 맨하탄이니까. 방은 "정말" 깨끗했고, 설비가 잘 갖추어졌다... 침대를 하나만 주지 말고 더 줬으면 좋았을 텐데.. 방에 싱크대가 있어서 이를 닦거나 간단한 화장을 할 수 있었다. 화장실은 홀에서 5피트정도 아래에 […] 있었고(실은 그 거리 안에 2개가 있다.), 정말 좋았다. (하룻밤만 묵었는데도) 거기서 샤워를 두 번 했다. 그리고 WC는 세, 네번 이용했다. 그 때마다 화장실이 얼룩 하나 없었다. 심지어는 한 밤중에도!! 화장실 청소 요정이라도 사나 보다!! 난 다른 방의 객실 소리를 듣지 못했다. 다만 복도에서 약간 소리가 들릴 뿐이었다... 그리고 직원이 사람들을 돌려보내는 것을 보고 호텔 예약이 다 찼다는 것을 알았다. 아침에는 로비에 조식 장소가 있었다. 하지만 전혀 먹을 시간이 없었다. 또 Social Club 레스토랑은 문들 닫았다. - 즉 근무 안 한다... 하지만 블록 근처에 정말 좋은 곳이 몇 군데 있다. 더 보기

New York은 처음이어서 어느 정도 기대를 해야 할 지 몰랐다. 로비는 정말 화려했다. 앉을 공간이 많았고, 전자 장비를 위한 콘센트도 많았다. 야외 공간이 있었고, 아침에는 무료 특별한 커피도 나왔다. 설치된 2단 침대는 충분히 컸고, 어른 두 명이 자기에 충분히 견고했다. 공용 화장실은 깨끗하고 잘 동작했다. 물은 뜨겁고, Rainfall 샤워기 헤드의 압력은 좋았다. 가격에 비해서 정말 좋았다. 다시 올 것이다.

Everything was fine but there are a couple of things to be aware of. The room is very small so much that the bed in my room was perpendicular to the head board. Also make sure you read the fine print as there are rooms which don;t have en suite facilities.

Great location, rate better than most hotels, but the rooms are smaller than a cabin on a cruise ship. Shared baths are clean , and easy. Tv's are small, and pillows are the worst. They need better mattress also. That's why the rooms are less than 150. You get what you pay for !

I stayed one night in anticipation of spending a few days at my daughter's home. I didn't want to spend a lot of money but wanted to be in this vicinity as my daughter works there. I read the reviews which were positive and thought, "It's only one night!" It was what I expected (per the reviews). Rooms are small, but clean. Felt like I was back in Paris! […] I actually slept with the windows open! It was that quiet. The concierge was most helpful. I was able to leave my luggage for the day as I explored the area. The best French restaurant is next door. Famous Ess-man Bagels and Dos Caminos are right around the block. It is 4 blocks from the United Nations. Great location. Pod51 is fine for a short stay in NYC. The room was tiny but adequate. Clean and modern with a helpful staff and very nice lounge on the roof and lobby. It's great for a short one or two night stay.

Liked the noon checkout time and the 2:00pm check-in. Great location, wonderful rooftop sitting area, a comfortable lobby restaurant with a nice outdoor deck and delicious & reasonably priced breakfast options. The rooms are very small but they have all the amenities you need...this hotel model may not be for everyone.

Room so small its actually cool, like staying in a bunk in a ship complete w metal sink. But this is one of the City's best bargains - clean, efficient and kinda fun. Will stay over and over. Clientele is high end, well dressed but this is about great value and cant beat the location!

I totally enjoyed the roof deck and garden area , while having a latte from the hotel cafe. It was a wonderful way to start and end the day of running around the city! Room was nice for sleeping. This stay, I had a private bathroom and next time, I might try the shared bathrooms.

Hotel rooms in NYC tend to be small - Pod rooms are smaller! But up-dated, well-designed, clean & comfortable. Pod 51 is in a great Mid-town location on the eastside with many good restaurants and the subway a couple of blocks away. It was quiet. The bathrooms down the hall were clean tile + marble, good fixtures. Only complaints: insufficient pillows […] and no in-room coffee maker! My twin bunk room was nothing more than I expected, and nothing less. There was no line for the shared WC or shower. For half the cost of fancier hotels, it certainly meet my needs.

This hotel is clean, comfortable and in a great location, within walking distance of Times Square! Would definitely stay here again on a return trip to New York. My only small complaint was that the WiFi signal was very bad in our room on the 4th floor. But apart from that, there was a great atmosphere in this hotel and a pretty cool vibe!

This was the second hotel I stayed in, on the way back via NY. I had experienced better value from my prior hotel in the region, which was only marginally more expensive but significantly better on all fronts. Pod 51 is comfortable and provides a place to sleep, but that's about it.

If you offer free WiFi its a good idea to actually have some signal strength in the rooms themselves. There was really no internet in this hotel at all. Must have disconnected five times within a period of an hour before I just gave up. Hallway noise goes right into your room.
