The room had a heavy smell of cigarette smoke, which forced us to open the windows, which let in a lot of noise from the nearby bars. But you can't beat the price for that location. The bathroom down the hall was really not an issue because there are separate toilets for men and women, and the shower room can be locked.

This was horrible "hotel"- no elevator only from first floor. This place would not qualify as hotel and i strongly do not recommend to anyone. bad bad bad

if you are going alone to swiss zurich bussiness for long stay for budget hotel access to hospital/tram/train main stations to connections other europe/ airport is the best.perhaps staying with family is not at recommend.

The Zic Zac Rock Hotel is an arty budget hotel. Each room is dedicated to a rock artist - mine, room 605, overlooking Marketgasse, paid homage to Jethro Tull. I can not give my opinion about the single room I booked (they were full) I was given a double bedroom with wash basin The room was very basic with old furniture and old carpet, bed was clean. bathroom is not clean and shower area close with a curtain which should have been thrown a way long time ago reception staff were friendly

This was horrible "hotel" i had ever been, quiky floors, dark rooms, no bed side table, Elevator only from first floor. This place would not qualify as hotel and i strongly do not recommend to anyone. Add 20francs more and you would get nicer hotel room in other hotels.

In a great location....It definitely was a step up from a Hostel but as we found out it was a very expensive town. It worked fine for one night and we were on the main pedestrian street and it was noisy but we knew that going into the stay. Would try to find another hotel with a bathroom next time.

If you want affordable accommodation in a good location in Zurich, consider this hotel. Basic but adequate. Fairly friendly staff. Do remember you will be sharing the bathrooms so come prepared.

This hotel has a great location but it is setup exactly like a hostel. The staff was rather rude and was more interested in facebook and YouTube...apparently we were interrupting something important. Our room had a nice view of the street below which was filled with restaurants and cafes. Bathroom and shower room were shared but clean however there […] was no soap in the bathroom. The Zic Zac is a great value dead in the center of town. Extremely convenient, tram lines very close by. And best of all is that it is a very quiet hotel. Not a sound was heard all night. The only drag is the shared bathroom/showers, but its not a big deal, and if you wake early there is rarely a wait for the shower.

The "Hotel" is in a really good location and quiet cheap, but thats the only plus. The toilets and showers are communal and having 2 toilets and 1 shower for a floor and a half of room got to be a joke. The rooms are very basic. But at least mine had a "private" sink.

I only stayed one night in Zurich for a layover and chose the Zic Zac hotel based on price. It was as I expected, maybe a little better. Shared bathrooms were very clean, never had to wait. This is a budget hotel smack in the centre of Zurich: perfect for younger people. I found it uncomfortable. The shared bathroom was busy. The room floor tilted, and the bed was too short so I kept sliding slowly out of it. Central location also means street noise: pubs closing at 3am. en arrivant, ouvert les rideaux qui nous sont tombés sur la tête, aucune remarque des femmes de ménage...pas de stores donc on ne peut dormir tard...pas de table de nuits ni de lumière pour lire. das preis-leistungs-verhältnis stimmt hier absolut! alles ist sauber! natürlich ist dieses hotel alt und etwas heruntergekommen, aber gerade das macht den charme aus. sehr urig - und das indische restaurant im haus ist fabelhaft! sehr nettes personal und die beste lage der stadt!

Es ist bedauerlich, dass ein Hotel dieser Art noch im Angebot ist. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut nicht passend!

Lage ist perfekt. Haus ist in verlottertem Zustand. Renovation ist überfällig. Wasser in der Dusche rinnt unter der Wanne raus bis zur Türe. Bett und Lavabo waren sauber, ansonsten lag überall Staub. Für die preisgünstige Nacht wars jedoch durchaus erträglich.

Suiza es un país caro, y este hotel no es precisamente barato aunque allí lo sea en comparación. Sin embargo, en España apenas sería una pensión. Et sjovt koncept. Rockmusik- og musikere som gennemført tema i interiør og udsmykning. Nok mest for unge mennesker. Værelset var ikke godt vedligeholdt og rengjort. Kunne ikke mørklægges pga. dårlige persienner. Der var toilet på værelset, og det på gangen var meget vanskeligt at aflåse, hvilket afspejler den generelle vedligeholdelsestilstand. Very good location in downtown Zurich and nice neighborhoods. Walking distance to main train station. Nice hotel staff. Poor quality of the rooms.

The hotel is located in the old city. All the good restaurants, shops and clubs are nearby. Even the hotel's Rock Bar is pretty good to have fun...

Da jeg bestilte værelse uden toilet og bad på Zig Zag Rock Hotel, forventede jeg ikke det store, men alt var pænt hele tiden. Især toiletterne var altid pæne. Alt fungerede. Og hvis noget ikke fungerede, så blev det rettet med det samme. Das Hotel ist gemuetlich mit angenehm entspannter Atmosphaere. Es ist ruhig aber mitten im Stadtkern von Zuerich - beste Lage - auch nicht weit vom Zuericher See. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Hotel liegt zwar mitten in der Altstadt aber zu keinen Grund da hingehen zu müssen Doppelstockbetten und die Bezahlung musst ich als Einzelreisender mit dem Preis für 2 Personen bezahlen und der war ganz schön saftig.

Kein fairer Preis für diesen Zustand und Komfort.
