Liked the location, but traffic anywhere in Austin is terrible. Close to where I was doing business, with fun bars and restaurants a few blocks away. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Can't beat the location when you have activities throughout Austin. Easy to get downtown, UT campus and fun entertainment areas from here.

From the moment I walked through the front door , I was greeted with a big smile, a warm cookie, and a pleasant 'hello' from the front desk clerk "Shea". Her positive and helpful attitude was a reflection of my entire 3 day stay. Convenient location to downtown Austin, and the airport, with plenty of free parking. The lobby was very trendy and spotlessly […] tidy. The room decor was very up to date and very clean, even the carpet was in excellent condition. The bed & bedding were both very comfy, the flat screen tv functioned well. The Wolfgang puck coffee in the room was a nice touch. I did not use the swimming pool or gym, but they looked very tidy and welcoming. I did not eat or drink in the hotel, but no doubt the professionalism of the place is echoed in those concessions also. It was a pleasure to leave a small tip for the attentive housekeeping staff each day. Overall, very happy with my stay. Exceeded my expectation! 더 보기

The rooms were nice but stale smelling and there could have been a little more attention to details. The staff was friendly and always helpful. Not my best DoubleTree stay but not the worst.

If you don't have your own car and so long as you are prepared to walk 15 minutes for the bus or take a Taxi then this is a great value for money stay.I had a room away from the I35 which was nice and quiet. All the staff were very aproachable andhelpful and the room and sercices of a good/high standard.

Rip off. Phone in room did not work, highway noise was excessive, and hotel had no heavy drapes to help, only sheers.

This hotel is in a wonderful situation for someone who wants to visit both the Texas Capitol and UT. On Friday March 1, I checked out to begin the long drive home to Amarillo, not knowing I had left behind a sack of presents and other items. When I got home and realized what I had done, I immediately called the hotel. The housekeeping department had […] found the sack and was holding it. The girl who helped me said she could pack it and mail it immediately--I just gave my credit card information. I should receive the items I left Monday or Tuesday. I was very impressed with her efficiency and especially with her courtesy and graciousness. I am also very grateful for such professionalism, and I WILL GO BACK!!! Convenient location for marathon start even though it is across the highway. I was disappointed that our room was not ready at 3 p.m. We have to wait until 6 p.m. to get into a room w a King size bed. This inconvenienced our plans a bit. The room was really comfortable. They did not do anything from Friday to Sunday about housekeeping. They did not come into the room to even check it. I complained and they said someone just hadn't gotten to it yet. That was 7 o'clock p.m.

Very nice, clean and perfect location.

Very close to UT bkb and fb games. Highly recommend for closeness to campus.

The stay was great, Room was great and located right were I needed to be. 2 things I wasnt a fan of was the location right next to the Cemetary, A little too creapy for me, also for the cost of the room internet access should be included for free

What more could you want from a hotel, staff that is not overly intrusive and clean quiet rooms and people.

Be warned.. there are 3... yes 3 of these in Austin and you have to be very careful which one you booked!! LOL I found mine on the 2nd try since two of them are located off the main highway service road. Once you do, it's great! You get a free cookie when you check in (mmmm, coookie...) The facilities are very nice but the but only being on the 2nd […] floor, the view wasn't so great (a cemetery nearby). However, it's very nice with free wireless, plenty of TV channels, and a comfy bed. What more can you ask for? (oh a fitness room and pool too!) I wouldn't really consider paying full price for this place but definitely worth it if you want to have a quiet place to stay. 더 보기

For the last couple of years my family has traveled to Austin to spend some time there during the holidays. We've stayed at another hotel a few miles from central Austin, mainly because of the comfort and price. We found in this DoubleTree virtually the same amount of comfort with a more convenient location. The University of Texas is just across the […] freeway; you could walk, jog, bike, or drive there in no time if that's what you wanted. Downtown restaurants, tourist sites, and businesses are just a few minutes away. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping showed up a bit early--around 8:45 am--but that's probably because things were so slow; only twenty parties or so were in the hotel. Everything we requested from the staff we had almost instantaneously. I don't know what things are like during peak seasons, so I can't comment on that, but if you're here at a slow time, it's a prime spot. Highly recommended. 더 보기

This hotel is conveniently located on I-35 in Austin, TX. Very close to the LBJ Presidential Library and the University Campus, make it ideal for spending a few days, especially on business trips. The staff is very courteous and the cookies at the front desk very good.

My stay here was awesome! FREE warm cookies on check in made me feel like they really appreciated my decision in choosing their facility for a great nights rest. Room was spotless. Pillowtop mattress with the most comfortable sheets. The only thing missing was a cmplimentary breakfast...guess that's how we got the cookies ;-)

The air conditioner in our room did not work, therefore, I was an uncomfortable night!

The boiler went out while we were there so I had to take a cold shower. However, the hotel was clearly doing everything in its power to fix the problem. They offered a taxi ride to another hotel in the chain for a hot shower, i just decided to forego that option. They were also working on replacing the boiler that same morning. I stayed two nights in the DT Austin for a conference. The hotel and the room were fine. Standard double queen, flat screen TV, desk with wired Internet connection, etc. Very comfortable bed. The hotel is very close to both UT and downtown - a 3-5 minute drive to each. I would stay here again.

The cost of the hotel is to high for not having a shuttle service, no microwave or refrigator in the room, the staff was not fimiular with the area at all. They did however call a taxi when I needed one. But for the price they could have provided something nice, not even a muffin.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hallways and elevators were hot and stuffy. The cleanliness of the room was ok overall. The baseboards and edges of the carpet, up against the baseboards, were very dirty/dusty and needed to be vacuumed. Internet was extremely slow. Bar food was awesome.

I stayed in a double queen. I got way more than I expected. Room was decorated beautifully an my room had a view of the UT stadium and what I assume was downtown. Only gripe was the front desk sent me and 3 friends LITERALLY to the ghetto of Austin to "get the best BBQ in town". We liked the location and staff at the hotel. Generally, the decor was good. We had a real problem with the cleanliness and maintenance. Had to move once, and the second room had a urine smell in the bathroom. It was obvious that housekeeping never mopped the floor. After making this reservation in April, I was disheartened to read the bad reviews that came up after that time. I naturally was wary about staying at this hotel but my worries were unfounded. The hotel is extremely nice. The staff was more than efficient. Room and room service was excellent. The beds were very comfortable & the room very clean. I love […] the free internet accessibility although the signal often didn't reach to our room. Negative - no fridge or microwave in the room. The breakfast was very good but of course not free. It was a little pricey but this I found is normal at hotels close to downtown Austin. The pool was small but more than adequate. The location was good for what we were there for - close to downtown yet easily accessible to other areas of interest. Right next to a cemetary. Shower was weird and the door to the bathroom would slam shut everytime you opened it. Pool was empty. Kinda sad. Comfortable beds and friendly staff though.
