Disappointed - not worth the cost. Location excellent. Breakfast buffet mediocre Service - inattentive both at breakfast and in the lobby Garden furniture way past it's best - scuffy Needs a refurb!!

Enjoyed everything about this hotel. Location. staff, amenities, food, absolutely great place. Would certainly go back!

Very nice hotel. Two nice swimming pools and kids club, very suitable for famillies with young kids.

Overall stay was good except it is absurd NOT TO HAVE WIFI excess except in the "LOBBY" area only. I have traveled the world and never been to such a nice hotel that doesn't have "WIFI" in the overall hotel grounds or even in the room. It't time the Hotel Management needs to bring this hotel technology closer to the 21st century. Holiday can not be better, the only small drawback is that swimming is not good idea in Batu Ferringi area. Pools of the hotel are however excellent and next to the beach and views to the sea are fantastic! Also breakfast is unbelievable.

From the moment we arrived, slightly early when only one room (standard room) of the two that we had booked was available but we were checked in immediately to the available room, (the other became available soon afterwards), to having all our requests satisified, ie interconnecting rooms with our teenage children, non-smoking and away from the mosque, […] I knew that we would be completely happy with our choice of the Parkroyal. The breakfast was one of the best buffets we had experienced, and the pool area one of the best also. The room and bathroom was very clean and roomy, the housekeeping staff friendly and efficient, especially Nancy who maintained our room for the majority of our 6 day stay. The concierge staff were always friendly and most helpful regarding local information. This was our third stay at Batu Ferringhi, our first at Parkroyal but we would definitely stay here again. On first take, this establishment shows its aging, much like the surrounding environment, but the renovated rooms are nicer and reflect more accurately the comforts (more on this below). Service, though good, wasn't very helpful or knowledgeable. We opted to just "find out for ourselves" rather than asking as our stay continued. The bathroom is usually […] my tell-tale for hotel quality, and this one was clean from the beginning. However, the shower drainage had its moment on first test, blocking and then coughing up backflow from the drain, but on second test onwards, worked perfectly (no points deducted, since my significant other never found out :) ). The room was comfortable and looked more updated than the rest of the hotel, which was a good surprise considering the less than awe-inspiring look of the lobby and entrance area. Though i wonder how long the bolted on upgrades would last (yes, literally, they just screwed this upgrade on top of existing panels, and the screws are visible). Minor observations aside, the remainder of our stay was comfortable and pleasant. Returning to the room felt clean and reassuring. As for the surroundings, as most will tell you, the beach is only slightly better than and industrial port, considering all the watersports that litter what could have been a serene experience. The hotel premises give you a good escape from the sub par beach, so I would recommend this establishment to others. Getting to and from Georgetown was easy, though its a 30 min taxi ride. 더 보기

A great hotel. Very good service, excellent food. Perfect for a get away to totally relax. Options if you want to sight see, shop at the night market etc. Would highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful swimming pools.

I stayed at the Park Royal for 7 days on the 17th Oct of this year.. Getting to the hotel from Penang airport takes approx 1 hour and cost about 80 Ringett which is about £15.The hotel itself is not bad,a bit dated but likable.The bigest problem I had,is that there's a Mosque almost next door which do their praying quite early in the mornings,during […] the days and also evenings over a loud speaker,which is pretty annoying. The best thing is that the hotel is on the beach front and the breakfast buffett is very good. The b/rooms are clean and comfortable,but there's a mouldy smell in the bathroom. which needs sorting.The staff is very friendly. Penang was the "surprise"on our itinerary. Park Royal was excellently situated to take advantage of views, markets and food stalls. Service was excellent, room service was not expensive, breakfasts were extensive and interesting. We enjoyed the evening entertainment. Also enjoyed watching the set up for an outdoor wedding. We had a Grand Deluxe room that was very spacious and had been recently renovated. We had a pre paid special price and these deals are excellent value. Large pool but murky water off the beach. Good local restaurants.

This hotel was not what it says it is. Firstly we arrived and the room we booked was a deluxe sea view. The room was a partial sea view due to the wall of the hotel obscuring most of it. We complained and were told by the manager that they have 3 types of seaview, partial, full and no seaview??? Anyway with much to-ing and fro-ing we ended up having […] to pay to be upgraded to a full seaview which was very disappointing. The hotel has a stale smell of damp. Overall a lovely hotel. Beachfront location and pool are is perfect. The only let down was on our final night (we stayed for 5) when there was a lot of noise coming from the adjoining room and corridors (it was a public holiday clebrating the king's birthday and i think there were parties in the hotel) - the rooms aren't great on sound proofing but […] aside from that good value and service. 더 보기

We stayed at the ParkRoyal Hotel and it was supposed to be a 5* Hotel it is very run down, stains on the carpets, it definitely needs updating in the rooms and the corridors are tired and shabby. Our room was supposed to be a Oceanic View and we had a carpark view with a speck of sea water in the distance. We asked to change but they could not accommodate […] us and in fact did not follow this up at all. The downstairs part of the hotel is nice and comfortable and the pool is lovely and clean the food prices are excessive actually so we choose to eat out. I give positive remarks on all factors except for the room quality. It was outdated and didn't fit the resort image. Otherwise, it was an excellent choice for location, activities, and convenience.

Excellent hotel, great service, great location. Night markets are right outside the hotel. Mini market and drycleaners are accross the road. Short walk to Feringhi Garden Restaurant - Great place to eat, quite pricy though (But worth it!) Pool area is lovely and breakfast buffet is awesome, has nearly everything you can think of! Cant say anything bad […] about it except for there is a mosque not too far away and the call to prayer happens twice a day (That I heard) and is quite loud if you are not into hearing it I suggest you ask the hotel to put you in the wing that is furtherest away from it so it cant be heard. From the" hardware" (i.e. facilities/fittings & fixtures) to the "heartware" (i.e. the staff), my wife and I gave a big thumbs up. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and managed to get some good rest and relaxation amidst serene and picturesque surroundings. Staff are responsive yet discreet. Breakfast was sumptuous enough! Location cannot be faulted […] as it is all about Batu Ferringhi. Connections to Georgetown is relatively fuss-free. We visited the nearby Butterfly Garden nd Spice Garden. We found this place to be a lovely escape - great decor, friendly staff, comfortable room and the seafood buffet was fantastic. We will visit again.

Hotel was beautiful and reasonable for what we paid. Service and staff were attentive, all around the hotel, at the lounge, pool, breakfast etc so all in all, no complains at all. Could do with more structured beach activities - it seemed the watersports/beach activities are not operated by the hotel, but by some young random people and it just appeared […] a bit dodgy with no set pricings published anywhere. It's as if 1 minute you're in a classy hotel, and next, it's like you're at a dodgy 0-star place once you step onto the beach. Regardless, we still did them anyway for experience albeit just once. After having spent the six previous days in Georgetown we found the Parkroyal to be the ideal place to relax by the beach. The hotel room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. All the staff we encountered were excellent. not only were they very friendly and helpful but were very professional. お正月に滞在致しました。利便性がよく満喫させていただきました。バス停が目の前なのでバスを利用してジョージタウンまで出発、帰りもバスを利用してホテルへ戻ってきました。 ホテルのフロントの方々も大変親切でしたしホスピタリティーが溢れるホテルで、とても心地よく過ごせました。 ただ、早朝のイスラムのお祈りで目が覚めたのがやや難点でしたがそれをクリアーすればなかなか満足です。 歩いてマッサージや屋台へお出かけもすぐでした。

Vi tilbragte 6 nætter på Parkroyal og var tilfredse med hotellet. Det lever ikke helt op til 4 stjerner, men der er rent og pænt. Vi oplevede fin betjening.

リゾート気分を満喫できて基本的には非常に満足しました。以下の各点は気になりましたが。 ①非常口横の部屋だったため五月蠅い時があった。 ②歯ブラシがデフォルトのアメニティではない。 ③今のご時世においてTVが平面ブラウン管TV。 ④トイレにウォシュレットがない。 ②-④は瑣末な話ですが、①は一寸きつかったです。 それ以外は日の打ちどころはなく、優雅なリゾートステイを楽しめました。

Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Gartenanlage. Was mich gestört hat, war der tägliche Lärm von Motorbooten und sonstigen lauten Wassersport-maschinen direkt beim Hotel.
