All I have to say is that even though its a newer hotel, the walls are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. We were awoken twice, once at midnight and again at 6:30 in the morning to our neighbors doing dirty things to each other which then turned into a heated political debate while they were watching the news. Only if you need a basic hotel with basic services. Staff not welcoming nor friendly nor accommodating to simple requests; basic continental breakfast. Good if you are passing-by and just need a bed. Conveniently located; Monterey about 20mins away by car

I've stayed at other motels in the area surrounding Monterey and the Comfort Inn Marina turned out to be a good choice. Price was reasonable considering that there are other places near Monterey that could be worse. The drive to Cannery Row from Marina is less than 15 minutes if there isn't any traffic on Hwy 1. Getting to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca […] is about a 20 minute drive without traffic. My room was clean, orderly, and free of bed bugs. Plus, the room was relatively quiet and far enough from the freeway for a good night's rest. Continental breakfast was pretty basic - yogurt, hot and cold cereal, fresh waffles, pastries, coffee, juice, and some fruit. Enough to get you started in the morning, but by no means a "power" breakfast. Overall , a good experience and I plan to return upon my next overnight visit to Monterey. 더 보기

This hotel is located less than 10 miles from the Monterey Aquarium. Despite being the Easter Weekend, the hotel was not packed, and was able to find a parking spot near the hotel entrance. Breakfast was basic, but good, a couple of cereal choices, some yogurt, milk, orange and apple juice, coffee, scrambled eggs and sausage, and waffle maker. You […] do not want to miss the waffles (regular and blueberry). There were coffee maker (as most hotels do) and hair dryer, with the nice addition of a mini-fridge and microwave oven. The staff was very nice, and the area was quiet. There is a Walmart and Denny's within walking distance. Read reviews on this hotel before, and some people complained of ants. We stayed on the first floor, and found one during my 2 nights stay. My only complain, is lightning (but this is the case for most hotels), and the fact that there were no spare outlets available (other that at the sink). Fortunately, I usually carry with me outlet splitters, and just disconnected the microwave for this. Also, the door to my room did not close properly, had to pull hard on the handle, and found that housekeeping did not close the door properly. Fortunately, nothing was missing. For a family of 5 on a budget, this was just the ticket. Very quiet room, very clean, the breakfast was super,which is another cost saver. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very easy to find and get to where we needed to go from there.

Close to the water, and a short drive from Monterey. Fulfilled our needs, and was clean and nice. Regular motel breakfast, nothing fancy, but OK.

The man that checked me in was rude. However, the girl at the front desk the next morning when I asked for a place to run was very nice. Room was okay. Not the best but not worst we stayed in on this trip.

A newer hotel, clean, economical and convenient. For families on their way to Northern, California by way of Monterey its a good overnight stay.

The Comfort Inn Marina 140 Reservation Rd Marina, Ca is a great Hotel. Across the street is WALMART and a 7-11. Easy access on and off the freeway. We got a room with a balcony and 2 chairs. What a wonderful surprise. There was no view to speak of but that didn't bother me. The balcony alone was wonderful. The breakfast was warm and filling. Belgium […] waffles, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, sausage, OJ Milk, toast or various kinds, muffins, sweet rolls, cereal. Denny's was right around the corner and to have gone there for breakfast would have cost 2 people $25.00. So this breakfast was appreciated and made our mini vacation go farther. The ergonomic chair in the room for the High speed internet was comfortable. A mini fridge with freezer and a microwave and coffee maker in the room, ample parking and MANY MANY restaurants right up reservation road.......what else can I ask for. A complaint you ask? Well perhaps one. The space under the doorway was enough to let the hallway light filter into the room to act as a night light and I could hear other people as they walked the halls to their rooms or where ever they were going. Once asleep that didn't bother me. But I think that could be an improvement. We were within 10 minutes of cannery row on a Friday with NO traffic. Saturday would be a different story. But I wouldn't stay on cannery row or in Monterrey because this Hotel was just that good! DO NOT HESITATE to book here. Make sure you ask for a room with a balcony There are only 3 I believe, but the room itself was at least 30 feet long with a king bed. No chance of being on top of one another in this room. pleasant place to stay for a short visit. would like to have had on-demand movies or pay-per-view movies.

Our get away for the weekend. It is the 2nd time we stayed here. I can say they can improve by putting full pillow. Glad we took ours from home!! Breakfast is good, have scramble egg, waffle (blueberry and original). Yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, a slice of toast.

This is a great hotel. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Front desk was not very helpful and not that welcoming.

Very good staff. Breakfast was a plus. Room was very clean and spacious

The manager was very cordial and welcoming. The lobby, breakfast area, hallways, elevator, and rooms were all clean. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. The hotel was only a block away from fast food. We would stay here again.

The only problem was a lack of sufficient staff. I stayed there with my sister. We are both slightly disabled and over 60 yrs old. We had to get our own luggage cart and bring it down. When we notified the front desk that our TV didn't work, they told us to wait till the following day or change rooms. We had already unpacked and received no help in […] changing the room. We came to town to visit friends who moved to the area. We chose the Comfort Inn because it was half a mile from them. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room, aside from some minor age-related cosmetic issues, was fine. The pillows were not the most comfortable and the mattress was a bit harder than I like, but I slept like a rock so it […] couldn't have been too bad. Breakfast was mostly adequate, although the staff should have monitored it more closely. A couple of guests were borderline indecent. They should have been asked to leave the dining area (or get dressed). I don't need to see anyone's chubby upper thighs while I'm eating a waffle. Also, the powdered eggs had a green color that wasn't very appetizing. We stayed away from those, and it looked like everyone else did too. For the most part it was really good. This motel was very quiet, clean and cozy. It was walking distance to a pond, beach and Wal-Mart. The price was very reasonable. We will definetly go back to this motel when we are in the Monterey area.

Rate seemed fair for the time of the year. Room was nice compared to the best westren we staying back in july down the road. Right across from the walmart. Has Good eats with the a small driving distantce. Perfect place to stay. Right by the state park and just a small drive to Monterrey. Will use this hotel again.

Ideal location for events at Mazda Raceway. Only minutes from the track. Large safe parking area for expensive autos

This motel was very nice looking and conveniently located. The staff was professional, polite, accommodating, and very friendly. The breakfast was surprisingly good with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. My one and only complaint was the carpet was very stained in my room. My Sister and I were in town for a conference and stayed at this place for it's cost/convenience. Not expecting much we arrived and had no hassle checking in. The room was clean and quiet and we had zero issues. I will definitely stay here next time.

This Comfort Inn is close to the Highway, but not so close that you can hear the traffic. Our room was clean, although we noticed a few issues with the decor. Like moisture damage around the window and grout issues in the bath. This was our second stay here as it is close to Monterey (10 min) without the high prices of Monterey and we would stay here […] again. Nice and clean hotel. Staff was very nice. Great location. About 5 blocks from the ocean. Located next to a Super Wal-Mart. Free Wi-Fi was a bit slow. The suite we got was just a slightly bigger room. A couch and coffee table would have been a nice touch.

Great place to stay. Nice and clean rooms. Close to Freeway.
