The room was clean and the people were great!....

My stay was extremeely nice. Front Desk up graded us to ocean view. I would not stay again with out that side of the building. Public area very shabby. Breakfast hours on weekends end too early and was not posted anywhere.

Everthing was great even the contential breakfast, great place to stay early spring, great rates, beach was not crowded this time of year. Only problem I had was that the motel did not have an indoor pool and I believe i was misinformed when I booked the room. Pet friendly and great place to stay.

The motel is under renovation and so it was not very welcoming. It felt like a construction zone to get to the room where breakfast was served. Off season can be nice because there were very few people but it also feels less friendly.

We chose this hotel because of the price and its central location. When we got there I would have changed hotels had we not had a non-refundable rate. They are "fixing" the hotel- which they don't tell you about when you call. The pool is closed, there are lights and wires hanging everywhere, the hallways are in various states of being panted and the […] fumes are terrible. I am pregnant and have a 2 year old and was very concerned about the air quality and cleanliness. Inside the room was filthy. I would not let my son lay on the floor because it didn't look like it had been vacuumed in months, there were tons of things left by previous guests (pill bottles, combs) that my son found under the bed and behind dressers, so clearly a good cleaning had not been done in awhile. The air conditioner was on an angle hanging out the window like someone had pushed it on one side and it for stuck. The bathroom was so gross. the toilet had massive stains in it and the tub didn't have a stopper, so I had to shove a washcloth in the drain to bathe my son. I was extremely disappointed with my experience and will NEVER be back to this location. 더 보기

Nice beach location.

This hotel is right on the ocean and close to Lost Colony sight and play, Jennifer's Fishing Peer and great restaurants. I had a room with double beds, ocean view, and balcony. The rooms could have been a bit more updated but they were not bad. It was wonderful to be able to lay in bed, push open the balcony door and watch sunrise through the window […] while getting the ocean breeze. 더 보기

Comfort Inn South Oceanfront in Nags Head was a great "beach" hotel. It was right on the beach. The hotel also had a nice, small pool and a great patio.

The Staff were very helpfull and well dressed .entrance was clean and presented in a welcoming way.this was the first time we took a pet with us.and would consider doing again.the out side needed a good paint but that could be excepted.

The hotel was OK. We happened to be spending a night during a rash of tornados around NC and watched from the big window our room had. Unfortunately that night I was wakened by water dripping in through a crack in the celining. Placed a couple trashcans underneath and went back to sleep. Interesting to note how close the hotel is to the incoming waves. […] Don't think the hotel will be here in 5 years despite the huge sandbags placed around. 더 보기

Nothing fancy, but was clean and the service was good. Very good deal,

The first night we were there the room was kinda grungy feeling. We found pubic and animal hairs in the blankets and sheets, along with a lot of pubic hair in the bathroom. We called the front desk to let them know about the issue. We went out the next morning, and when we returned our room was very very clean and smelled a lot better. This is a nice hotel. It's a great example of the kind of nice infrastructure we should enjoy today because it will be hit hard like all of Nags Head as the climate continues to warm and water continues to rise. The foundation of the building is heavily reinforced with sandbags, but the increase in sea level since the hotel was built is obvious. It's […] a great place. Stay there while you still can. 더 보기

i wasn't expecting a 5-star hotel. this was exactly what i needed; a reasonably priced, respectable hotel. all of the staff that i interacted with were more than accommodating- from the front-desk to the room service.

Good side: The price was good and the room was quiet right on the water which is what we wanted. The location was wonderful. Quiet but not far from anything. We had easy access to everything but could still get away from it at night. Bad side: The general condition of the place did not come close to what I expected from this chain. They had wood doors […] to the balcony, and our first room the door did not close all the way but they moved us no problem to another room down the hall. Even the sign outside needed new neon which made it hard to find in the dark. The water bottle in the 2 treadmill exercise room was mildewy. There was no meat on the breakfast bar (sausage or bacon). The water comes right to the base of the hotel which makes us wonder if their are afraid of doing any thing to this if it can be washed away next storm. So I only suggest this if you are like us and only want a cheep place to sleep with no frills. Keep this in mind when you consider cost. 더 보기

i thought it was reasonable for the price. the staff was very helpful, and kind. only bad things i can say is the weekend rate was to high, and the pool was tiny. other than that i would recommend staying there.

Room was in very poor condition. Curtains were torn, TV screen had splatter marks on it and the shower grab bar pulled right out of the wall. The front desk took immediate action and upgraded us. Our next room was better the first night but on the second day we were interrupted twice, first by another guest that was given our room which was followed […] several minutes later by one of the people from the front desk who wanted to know our name and why we were in the room. We got it straightened out after a trip to the desk but it was avoidable if entries would have been made in their system. Overall the staff was very pleasant but the hassles and building upkeep leave much to be desired. We will not stay there again. 더 보기

When we first arrived @ the hotel the first impression was not good. The paint was peeling and lobby well worn.The elevator up to the 5th floor was also a bit disheartening.Then we opened the door to our room. It had a great view of the ocean & sound side of the island from a non-oceanfront room.The room was nicely kept,beds comfy, and A/C nice & cool.The […] continental breakfast was typical,waffles,cereal,doughnuts.Access to the beach from the second floor was under construction,however a walk around the hotel to the beach was hardly painful.In all, good value for the money & keep in mind what salt water, & lots of foot traffic does to a hotel. 더 보기

The hotel looks as if it is falling apart, very disappointed with this. The elevators are in poor repair, we took 6 flights of stairs to avoid them. The deck area is caved in and should of been repaired long ago. No immediate access to beach had to walk around hotel. I travel a lot and this Comfort Inn is one of the least maintained ones I have seen. The air conditioner in our room leaked so we had had a wet spot in the room and the paint was badly chipped on the balcony which gave it a very dirty and rusty feel. The room had a great ocean front view but had little to no frills.

the rooms were old and dingy, but the service is great and hospitable.

The view was incredible. The rooms were pretty bad for the money. The first room we were given had a lock on the door that someone had tried to jimmy open. The second room wasn't much better. The carpet was very thin. The toilet was very stained. Overall, the hotel felt old, even though it seems like it should have been renovated.
