I was visiting Syracuse University and was staying at the lodge for just one night. My overall experience was somewhat good, but because the location was in downtown, I did experience a dangerous event. One bad thing is that you can't check in to leave your baggage before 2PM. The manager did ask me if I wanted to leave the baggage in the lobby until […] I returned. I agreed to do so because I thought there was a special space for leaving luggage for guests. But I had to leave my backpack and suitcase just behind the front desk where everyone can see it and easily get robbed. But because there were no important or expensive belongings, I was fine. The room cleanliness was 6 out of 10. The room was okay but the restroom was in a pretty poor condition. I would rate my overall stay as 7 out of 10. 더 보기

Close to downtown. Great if you want to do a pub crawl and not use the car

The staff was awesome here and they really sorted me out after a long drive. Couldn't ask for more and the price was rite

My Husband and I planned a one night stay in Syracuse so we could go skiing at a local hill, shop, and go to Dinosaur Bar-B-Q. The hotel itself was in decent condition based on what we paid & was acceptable for a night stay. The bed was not super soft, but our backs didn't hurt when we woke up - the pillows lacked...any support, and there weren't […] enough - either ask for more pillows, or bring lots of your own. The tv had plenty of channels, and the room was overall clean. As read from prior reviews, you did feel a bit spyed upon though, as there was a big security tv screen upon check in, where you could see the outside of all of the rooms, and when we left our room the first time to load up the ski equipment, the hotel worker conveniently walked near our room and checked the room next door to ours (vacant). Lock your cars & bring your valuables inside with you - there is a safe. The area is sketchy to say the least. We did take a cab to Dinosaur Bar-B-Q, however were sorely disappointed as there was a 2+ hour wait - so we wasted $10, and walked back to a pub area about 2 minutes from the hotel & had dinner at the pub (The Bear & Bull) - which had a great selection of craft beer on tap. So the hotel was rather conveniently located and not too far from a few main attractions (there's also a zoo and museum nearby). We were together, so walking alone in the area was ok - we didn't see anyone else on the streets. We checked out the following morning and had a pre-wrapped danish thing from the continental free breakfast (again, as low end as we expected). Overall, it was expected for the price we paid - if we chose to go to Syracuse again (I have no idea why we would return - the downtown was desolate, full of strip bars, and run down), we'd likely stay there again just due to the convenience and price. 더 보기

This is a convenient less expensive option for enjoying events in Down Town Syracuse. Close to night life areas and concert and sports venues. Will require a short ($10) cab ride to most anywhere though. Not a neighborhood to walk around in at night. Hotel was clean, let me get that straight first.I was staying at this hotel for one night after a concert at the nearby OnCenter. The plans were originally just for my girlfriend and I to stay over, but we had 4 other friends with us. We were hanging out in the room before the concert for an hour and the hotel manager CALLED our room within 5 minutes […] of us arriving to ask (rudely) how many of us were staying in the room because he saw (he watched us on the cameras which are EVERYWHERE at this place) more then 2 people in the room. I explained to him that they were just staying here before the concert. After the show, about 1am, I went into the lobby to ask for a 2nd keycard since they only gave us 1, and there was a new person on staff. He also asked rudely how many people were staying with us again since he was creeping on the cameras after we got back from the show. In the end, we ended up having 2 more people stay which I told him when I checked out in the morning and payed the extra fees ($10-11 per extra person) and he seemed nice about it at the time. Overall, pretty clean rooms, not the greatest of locations, but centrally located to a lot of things, pretty annoying and nosy hotel staff, but should be fine if you have the correct number of people as your reservation with you at all times. 더 보기

Lodge was simple, well maintained and clean. Front desk was extremely accommodating with requests. The price was terrific compared to its nearby competitors. We went to visit Syracuse University and took a 5 min.taxi ride there. I think this is a bargain and I would return again for the price.

Hotel Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. Basic and okay for the price. Good for an overnight stay.

The hotel was clean, although not updated. It was close to the places I wanted to go, seemed to be centrally located. I would recommend it to someone who is looking for an inexpensive place to sleep.

This Econo Lodge branch is a decent and basic stay, which is a cheaper alternative for people not looking to pay to stay in bigger hotels. Its location is good if you're heading downtown, the walk is around 10 minutes to the bus interchange, but if you are on other business like visiting Syracuse University, then things get a little more complicated. […] The neighbourhood is pretty quiet, with quite a bit of unoccupied real estate around. The room was clean and quiet. Thats all I was hoping for the price. You get what pay for. And NO bedbugs I personally checked.

The non-smoking room smelled like smoke. There were (many) cigarette burns in the carpet. Otherwise, things seemed relatively clean, bed was comfortable. If you want to save a lot of money, it's worth it. If you want a nicer stay, spend a bit more.

Should spend more time cleaning the bathroom behind the door has not been cleaned in days if not weeks.

My room overlooked the road; traffic was noisy, including noise from the interstate overpass that was nearby. But worse than that was the commotion that went on at 3 am Sunday morning. Needless to say, I had a pretty sleepless night :~(

The hotel room and bathroom were comfortable, clean and tidy, although the room needed updating. I found the room a bit dark, but to have privacy the drapes have to be kept shut. The motel is on an old model which means all the rooms are open to the outside. This may be problematic for some guests. Considering the area the price seemed a bit high.

Clean , mattress had a plastic cover on it that made noise everytime you moved otherwise the beds were warm and comfortable. Very noisy until the wee hours of the morning and noise starting again about 430 or 5 am. Got very little sleep all night. Breakfast nook was wee and very basic.

The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke so I'm glad I requested a nonsmoking room. There was a slight musty smell to the room which disappeared after the windows were open a while. The bed was comfortable but if you need a soft pillow bring your own. The building next door was burnt down so the area looked shabby. Hotel is in a good location - otherwise stay away! My room didn't lock unless the door was slammed. The maid therefore didn't lock up the room properly. The key didn't work on the second day. WiFi lousy, wired internet didn't work. No aerator on faucet. Lousy pillows. Noisy neighbors. Very slow check in. Overall the hotel is in need of maintenance.

The hotel was at a convenient location.we started out staying one night in a smoking room and it was highly inconvenient.the rooms were fairly comfortable but could have been much neater.

The remodeled hotel was done in good taste.
