when we booked the room we were led to believe a continental breakfast was included. it was not.

The room was nice, there was a small divit between the living room and the bathroom, apparently a remodel that wasn't quite done? The pool temperature was perfect, but there were pieces of dirt or something floating in the pool and the air vents in the ceiling were dripping in and around the pool. The picture on-line made me think that this hotel was a 'nice, new' Holiday Inn, but sadly it was not. It was just an old, run-down hotel that needs a lot of TLC. I really wish we would have spent $5 more to stay across the street at the Ramada.

This hotel had comfortable beds, the rooms were clean and the staff very nice. Despite it being a very busy weekend with the State Fair the hotel was busy but quiet. The pool is fine for a dip and the Fitness Center is small but does the job. The fact that Bennegans is connected to the hotel and has long hours is a real plus.

Contacted hotel staff twice in first hours after checking in regarding a nonfunctional toilet. Twice personnel were dispatched and did nothing to correct problem. At checkout notified the front desk, they said "thanks" but indicated no record of problem was made prior. No one here cares apparently.

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and all extras were there. The shower had great pressure and hot water for both of our showers. The only thing that was not comfortable to me was that only on elevator worked so we had to pack people in one elevator which is very uncomfortable to me. MY WIFE AND I COULD NOT GET OVER THE OVERALL QUIETNESS OF HOLIDAY INN. YOU COULD NOT HERE ANY RUNNING WATER FROM OTHER ROOMS AND EVEN THE HALLWAYS WERE QUIET. WHAT A JOY TWO ENJOY 2 NIGHTS OF PEACE A QUIET. BEDS VERY NICE.

Room never cooled down and always felt wet. No complimentary or on-site breakfast. Cell phone service was almost non-existent within the hotel. My guess is the property has had extensive floooding and is in the process of recovering from that.

I had a non-smoking room but could smell smoke wafting in from other rooms. Other than that, the room was fine.

good location

The room was very humid and smelled musty. I was very disappointed based on the price I paid for the room. However, after 12 hours on the road, I wasn't willing to fight for my money back.
