Probably my favorite Akron hotel.

I enjoy this hotel.

I expected more from the hilton,,,There is no free HBO or anything, only locals you have to buy every other channel. Went down to the pool for a dip but the water was freezing, the room was nice and warm though. Th workout room looked nice had alot of equip for a hotel but I decided against working out wanted to relax instead. The room was nice and […] the food was good. A little expensive but what do you expect from room service? I ended up getting the kids chicken fingers and fries and it was more than plenty for me, better than a $13 burger. Found it interesting that there were two Hilton hotels right next to each other. I do not like the practice of adding $25.00 to my bill for services that I " might use". When explained to me by the staff it was described as a charge "just in case" I availed myself of Hilton amenities such as room service, drinks at the hotel bar, renting an in-room […] movie. I would just as soon pay as I go. It leaves the impression that the hotel does not trust their customers to pay their bills. 더 보기

I promised myself that I would write a review of this hotel since the reviews of others is what made me chose this place. OK. Here goes I really really liked it. It was clean, the staff was nice and room was exactly as the pictures show it. No unpleasant surprises, no weird smells, no random dirt showing up… everything was what I expected. I am with […] the other guests who find the warm choc-chip-walnut cookies to be amazing. Bed: nice comfortable beds. Clean linen, and very nice mattress. The TV (flat screen) is right in front of the bed so you can catch some tube while relaxing. I took my own DVD player and enjoyed catching up on Netflix while I was there. Bathroom: clean, nice sized and always loaded with fresh towels. I have to say though as a picky note, the shower head could have used a dunk in that CLR stuff but trust me when I say that I am being picky about that. My shower at home is known to make visitors feel like they are “drowning” so I am sorta used to the extreme. Desk area: Nice chair and nice desk. Got to catch up on some homework for school as well as some work emails and was very comfortable. Climate: there is a thermostat in your room so you can keep it as cool/warm as you like. Drawers/closet space: there was plenty room for me in my room for all of my stuff. The only complaint: I ordered room service while I was there one morning. I ordered the AMERICAN cheese omelet, sausage, bacon and toast. The food came pretty fast but it was all wrong. There was no cheese on my cooked too long omelet and the sausage tasted like tofu and Dawn dish soap together. No worries, they replaced it and added the wrong cheese. I was sorta irritated by then BUT the manager used these words “ I know that your meal has not been to your satisfaction but I just want you to name whatever you want me to do. Can I buy you a lunch? Can I buy you dinner? Whenever you decide, please call, ask for any of the managers and we will accommodate you.” WHO COULD BE MAD AT THAT? I 더 보기

Got to room late. Did not spend much time in room bed was ok. Got up early next day.

i didnt feel good about People who worked there, they were very rude and unhappy. next time i will stay at the hilton hopefully is not the same guest service.

As far as remodels go, they have done a great job with this place. The best sleep ever in their bed, really surprised at the level of comfort. Nice surprise - the health center. So often hotels toss a treadmill in with a bike and call it a health center. In the Doubletree there are 5 pieces of cardio equipment, a full selection of barbells, a stretch […] chair, full rack of medicine balls and two press benches. Nice. It was a lovely hotel and room, with comfy beds. My only complaint was the noise. I think there was a wedding party going on, and I had to turn the fan on to drown out the sound of the music. Then had to sleep with a pillow over my head to drown out the loud fan. That part was not great. My girls liked the pool, but i was hoping for a spa but there […] was not one there. cookies were a nice touch, although, we're used to having a free breakfast with most of the places we stay with the kids--we missed not getting a free breakfast. 더 보기

Rooms were nice and there is a nice mall across the street with several nice restaurants. The challenge was parking and access in and out as the main street is very busy at times.
