Beautiful setting, spacious and comfortable room with full kitchen and balcony. Made me wish I could stay for a round or two of golf. Ate at the lesser of two restaurants on premises and the food was excellent. Service was great, and a 'no tipping' policy is in effect. The quality for the cost can't be beat. I thought I was booking a stay at Loews Ventana, so I was disappointed at first. However, the staff was wonderful, our room very spacious, and the grounds very nice. I had 2 young children who enjoyed the kids pool and Sunday brunch in the garden. I would stay here again.

Great hotel, large suite like rooms, huge shower...comfy beds

Great place. The restuarant is closed on Mondays a big disappointment.

very nice people and staff.. the "kitchen" was ill equiped no pans, pots etc.. only two knives forks plates and no ICE without walking outside and the entire length of the property They would bring what you needed but getting housekeeping to answer .. and the having to wait was annoying. i love the Lodge at Ventana Canyon. It offers a gorgeous setting, relaxed atmosphere, spacious rooms appointed with comfortable Southwestern style furnishings, nice fitness center, good food and excellent service. Not to mention golf.

It is a great place for all kinds of activities: swimming, golf, exercise facilities, tennis, golf, etc. just don't ask where to go running, or you will be told in a snotty way that you are not allowed to go in the neighborhood. Hiking in the canyons is great and the hotel shuttle will take you anywhere within a two mile radius. It is a really good […] place to stay. 더 보기

hotels.com did not make it clear to me about the $24/day charge for the "resort fee". I thought it was only if you had more than 2 people in a room, but I had to sign a separate piece of paper and pay that additional fee for my two nights. I was busy hiking and mostly just used the resort for sleeping (and did not use the other facilities), so I was […] annoyed to have to pay this additional fee (which was not part of the price I paid through hotels.com. Other than that, the room was nice, and if I knew I'd be charged that additional fee up front, I wouldn't have felt so surprised. 더 보기

We were attending my niece's wedding and checked in very late. My GPS was not behaving and it was very late, but Beverly at the front desk came to the rescue and guided us from where it took us to the right place. Thank goodness - Tucson has so few lights due to the observatory and it was really dark. My daughter decided to come in that night (or very […] early morning) and there are extra person fees. (We had booked a room for her the following night any way.) Seems odd with a two bedroom suite, but okay. It was very spacious and clean for the most part, however we found a receipt on the floor under the desk from the previous occupants. The beds were very comfortable and the view of the mountains in the morning was breathtaking. We wandered down for coffee and breakfast at about 7:30 am. There were 2 other tables of people outside and the service was not great. The waiter was not to be found and constantly disappearing. Thank goodness the hostess was accommodating. We enjoyed our event and returned to the hotel about 7:30pm. Exhausted from the events of the day, we decided to eat at the Ventana Grill. The service was great!, the food was great and we sat for several hours as other family members joined us. Overall I would rate as a 4.5. This hotel adds resort fees to their room charges along with a extra guest charge of 25$ if there are more than 2 people in the room. If you dont like airline baggage fees along with your ticket you won't like this hotels policy either. You dont get anything for your resort fees other than a 25$ charge. The Lodge at Ventana Canyon is a unique hotel property. It is a boutique hotel that shares facility with a country club. The setting is beautiful, located in NE Tucson, nestled against the mountains and surrounded by a top-notch golf course. It is 5 minutes away from Sabino Canyon and no more than 20 minutes from downtown. I can't review the restaurant […] because I was only there for one night and I chose to eat dinner at a restaurant owned by a close friend. However, the restaurant and bar area looked attractive and had nice views of the mountains. The rooms were spacious, with a separate living room and kitchen. It had all of the amenities of a luxury hotel without the hassle of staying at one of the larger resorts. 더 보기

This place is the best Ive stayed at in Tucson. Ive tried several of the surrounding hotels and resorts when I come to town for business and have since quit looking at other places and have already had a second stay here. I cannot speak for the most expensive places nearby since they do not fit into my travel budget but this will be my home away from […] home in Tucson from now on. Huge room, comfy bed, big desk, kitchenette, nice work out facility, free wifi, and parking. Only complaints would be one room I had the air conditioner didnt seem to be pumping out too cold of air but I slept just fine, and I always eat dinner at the bar and it never fails that theres a loud group of guys who just finished golfing having some beers and carrying on. But you could have dinner in the nicer dining area if you want a little more peace and quiet. Not centrally located and thanks to the Tucson freeway system or lack there of it takes a good half hour to get anywhere. Great place to stay! 더 보기

Overall not a bad place. Good location and great scenery. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and loud air conditioner.

Quiet location, good service. Room a little tired although up to date with conveniences.

The stay I had at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon was very satisfying. It was in a great location and a great getaway from Tucson. Very good customer service and if anything the only concerns were imperfections in the room. Some electrical sockets were non-working that we alerted housekeeping to but my boyfriend and I made do. The comfort of the hotel room […] made up for that concern. There were some imperfections on the walls and the bathroom floors, but nothing a little touch up couldnt make better. I cannot stop raving about this hotel. The accommodations were fantastic. Great furniture, great bedding, great kitchen and bathroom. Wonderful living room and elegant office. My room had a little back patio and large windows that over looked the golf course. It was beautiful and very very comfortable. The service at the hotel was simply amazing. […] The bellhop was able to pay for the taxi for me when I didn't have enough cash at check-in (charged to room of course). The room service was great. I needed to go downtown one night and one of the Golf caddies just drove me down there in his personal vehicle since he was headed that way. The people there really make all the difference. It is a very laid back hotel with not many guests, if you want a place to relax and get-away, then this is your place. The Lodge at Ventana Canyon was amazing… I was kind of skeptical at first but when we pulled up to the Resort it was amazing -- The view from our balcony over looking the hill was beautiful and our room was awesome. I think they upgraded us to the 2 level room w/1 king bed and 2 queen bed, it was like a house! Everything about this Resort made my trip […] 10x better, instead of gushing about the sight seeing we did, we gushed over how the Resort was to our friends and family… If I ever visit Tucson again, I will defiantly stay at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon, also your dog can stay in the room too, nothing can top that! 더 보기

We stayed at this hotel off-season, and for the money, it was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in. The pool could be a little more kid-friendly. Hot tubs are in separate mens/womens locker rooms so family can't hot tub together. Rooms were huge.

Loved the hotel. Decent restaurant. Car definitely necessary. Beautiful views and wonderful hotel.

A terrific place to be as far as outdoor activities.The size of the rooms and general layout is excellent. The rooms could use some up dating althought still nice. As always, the food leaves a lot to be desired. Tucson has a lot of very good places to eat, but the Lodge continues to be just average.

Beautiful hotel in a very scenic location but it seemed like more of a golf resort than I expected. The Lodge has a pool but it appeared as though it was an afterthought. It's at the far end of the property and it's a small Olympic style. In order to make a larger pool available, the Lodge offers free shuttles to another resort in order to use their […] pool.
