The room was great and clean, really great value for the money. The staff was friendly. One staff member, Carolyn, was extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended if you need a cheap and basic motel.

I purchased a 2-night stay at this hotel, and the wifi didn't work, the alarm clock constantly reset itself, the neighborhood was in the red-light district, they didn't have a refrigerator or microwave (like the website stated), and the bed was itchy. After waking up in the middle of the first night, I packed my bags back up, took a financial loss […] (due to the non-refund policy), and went down the road to the Comfort Inn. We arrived later in the evening and the desk clerk was efficient but not overly friendly. Upon checking in to our room, the smell of must was unpleasant and reminded me of kitty litter. Since we had traveled long distances and endured mountain snow, all we wanted was sleep. The next day we took off for sight seeing and upon our return that evening, […] we found the room had not been serviced in any way. I had to go to the desk clerk to get fresh towels & coffee. The next morning we left around 6:30am. The office did not open until 7 am, so we were unable to try the continental breakfast. Over all not a great experience in such a beautiful city. 더 보기

All factors considered including price, Joward Hohnsons was a good deal. Even a decent continental breakfast @ 9:30 AM (no fruit).

No real complaints. It is what it is. The staff was friendly, thought I didn't deal with them much. The main room was clean, but the bathroom (while cleaned) was obviously smoked in recently so that smell got to us a bit. The fan in the bathroom was also ridiculously loud. Otherwise the experience was good. I have a couple of pet peeves that were very […] small issues however. 1. No fitted sheets, so the flat sheets shifted around a lot. I'm not a big fan of sleeping directly on the mattress. 2. Only 1 "officially" accessible power outlet. With as common place as smart phones, iPods and handheld game systems are, my son and I were jockeying for the socket every other moment. I came in at night to men drinking in the parking lot and woke up to motor cyles. The rug and bathroom were nasty. Customer service was good. The place is just a place to sleep in a pinch

I booked this hotel because of the low rate and perceived proximity to downtown Colorado Springs. In actuality, it's about a mile or two from downtown, so not very walkable. Plus, the neighborhood is very seedy, so our group was hesitant to leave the property at night and was concerned about leaving valuables in the room while we were out. For the […] money, the hotel itself isn't a bad deal, but the surrounding neighborhood make it a no-go. We won't stay there again. This hotel was perfect for what we wanted, everything was close by we never had to drive more than 5mn, very convienient!

Comfortable, but needs updating. Very friendly. Price was right.

Bathroom was dirty. That just ruins an otherwise decent hotel.

For the price of the room all lights should have been in working order. The morning of my business meeting after my shower I went to use the hair dryer and it did not work and the light switch that was hooked up to exhaust fan was unbearably loud. Could not tell all this from your pictures on the […] internet., those looked very pleasant that's why I picked it for my stay I will look for other accommodations when I return in a few weeks. Very sketchy neighborhood, poorly maintained property, unclean room, mildew smell in bathroom, air conditioning that did not keep room cool, and the ice machine didn't work. Recommend avoiding this hotel.

It met our needs for convenience and value, we had repeated issues with the key cards and would have liked to have had a mini frig in our room, only half of them do.

I could not recommend this Motel even for dogs. Everything was filthy, they didn't vacuum during cleanup, they didn't provide coffee for the machine that was in the room. They didn't give shampoo etc...In other words the place reeked.

Our room was filthy and smelled like a smoking room even though it was a non-smoking motel. We got new towels each day, but never got new soap, coffee, etc. The chain lock on the door was held on by what looked to be phone cord. Very, very dirty and not well maintained.

Seedy outside. Needs paint and and overall makeover. Even found a condom packet in the parking lot. That said, the inside is updated. Beds are OK. TV. Hot water. Not the best, nor worst, carpet. Some of the staff was helpful. One in particular was not. OJ didn't work, twice in the morning (pouring out water w/a bit of color)-- and was told, "but I just […] changed it."-- rather than any apology or attempt to fix it. My key card didn't work numerous times-- and I kept it away from phone and other cards, as instructed. Rather a hassle to stand at your door and put in the card seven times before it worked. I assume their machine may not work all the time-- and they did change out my card-- but if one was in a hurry to get in, they couldn't. There are other hotels of a similar price nearby. This one also offers "extended stay" rates-- so their were people living in the hotel too--- and as one might imagine, not people of a particularly high caliber. Seemed like too many local punks going in and out of rooms ALL night. I think this hotel has a drug problem going on in the rooms

Worked for the overnight stay as I needed.

The only thing I didn't care for about this motel was that there is not a refridgerator or microwave in the room. The service was good and the rooms were clean. It's less than a block from the freeway off-ramp. The parking is a little awkward when the motel is full but you really can't beat the price.

This is a old hotel and I expected a lot more from its name. My room's carpet was extremely dirty. My socks were black from walking on the carpets. They didn't replenish the soap or shampoo. My bathroom floor was dirty. This hotel was in a seedy part of town.

The Ho Jo was very satisfying, especially for the price. Very quiet even though its next to the interstate. Easy access to most anything and the hosts were very nice and attentive. The only negative was the weather, "VERY WET" overall, I will stay there again if im ever back in Co Springs.(RM)

This hotel is good for adults who are on a budget. I would not recommend it for people with kids. It is located right off the interstate, and the neighborhood could be better. BUT - the rooms were really decent and clean for the price.

this hotel fit perfectly within out limited budget and within the location that my sister and i wanted to stay. it’s an older building and reflects its age but is maintained fairly well. our room was comfortable though there was a slight musty odor. the water pressure was a little low and was slow to drain in tub, but everything else was good. as a […] note, if you are sensitive to outside noise this may not be the place for you because the highway and train are nearby. i would stay here again and would recommend it to others that are doing the quick pass-through. =) 더 보기

Very easy to get around, close to downtown, and you got everything that you needed!

Neighborhood is awful, but if you don't need to take a stroll, it isn't relevant. Staff friendly, typical aging property, electrical wiring sketchy, outlets dead. Clean, good provided soap/ shampoo, quiet. All in all a good value. I stayed here for the location and price, last night of my trip.

All that I needed

We never made it to check in. The outside of the Hotel was as scary as the neighborhood it was in and the drunks that were walking outside of it.

The hotel was old but clean. The mattress was new & comfortable; the pillows were new, big, & hard. The "continental breakfast" was good for families with kids (which the hotel was full of) but not satisfying for us. Location was great! It is just off of I-25 & just down the street from downtown, which is full of good restaurants, museums, galleries, […] etc. Easy access to Manitou Springs with cliff dwelling & Garden of the Gods. Hotel staff was friendly. The place was clean. There was a half of a Pepsi in the fridge when we got there. The rate from Hotels.com was enough of a savings to cover our dinner both nights. Nice and very friendly

Not the fanciest place, but it was just right. Excellent customer service.

Room was clean and comfortable, although heat was difficult to control: either too much or too little...not an in between.

Hotel needed updating, but a good value for the money.

I was just looking for a place for the night along I-25 so I could rest and then continue my travels. After having read the reviews, I was worried to see my room. I was actually surprised by how clean the room was. It was cold in my room, but after 10 minutes with the heat on, it was too hot. Don't take your socks off! Very friendly, efficient, helpful staff; but the building and facilities are just too old, too worn, too broken. Not a very bright, flourishing neighborhood. Probably good value for the price.

Dirty, old, run down, scary, many police in the parking lot at midnight, bad neighborhood, will never stay there again.
