Took the wrong turn off the freeway, but called to get straightened out. Friendly staff checking in. The whirlpool tub was cozy. The bed was ok, but I couldn't find a pillow I liked. No noises - except the frogs - overnight, so we got a good rest!

The staff were very nice but the hotel itself fell short of my expectations. The biggest problem was the noise. The HVAC system was so loud that I ended up just turning the temperature up to shut it off so I could sleep. There was some kind of construction going on as well that was not only noisy but blocked the exit near my room and made me go all […] the way around to get to my car. The room was fairly clean but the pool was extremely dirty and the hot tub was even colder than the pool. I was not at all satisfied with my stay at this hotel. Desk clerk could not find my reservations at first, I requested an outside room, and I believe I received the worst one. Upon driving around the hotel I noticed all the dirty or badly streaked windows, you could tell that the hotel had had some damaged done to it, there were rooms that were in bad […] disrepair which was visable through the open windows. When I walked into the room it was hot and smelled so bad, that I had to run to the local store and get a bottle of Febreeze, it helped some, but not alot!! The beds were horrible, hard, lumpy, you could tell they needed to be replaced, the a/c did not work well, kept the temperature on 68* and it still felt warm in the room. We went to the pool and jacuzzi and the pool was a very bad green color, my son went to ask the front desk and asked if it could be checked, hotel clerk said that it was normal and ok to swim in.....I KNOW THIS IS VERY INCORRECT WITH HAVING TO DEAL WITH A POOL OF MY OWN!!! The film on top of the water suggested to me that it contain very little to no chlorine at all. We were going to get into the jacuzzi and found it extremely cold and remained that way for our entire stay! I will not use this hotel again!! If this website wishes to advertise for them, they should send someone there to FIX it. The reason we had to stay was due to no refunds after a certain time, and judging from the looks of the other rooms by passing them, they all looked just as bad as ours did. Bottom line up front: the hotel is dirty and poorly maintained. Hotel staff were not overly courteous, empathetic, apologetic or helpful. We left early because we would rather have a longer drive and a higher cost per night than sleep in filth. The hotel is older, and not well maintained. I had to walk to the front desk, who acted like it was something common. They simply assigned another room to us with no real apology for the inconvenience. There were multiple rooms around the facility that were completely trashed, and looked to have been that way for a while. Paint mismatches in both rooms and through-out the facility were evident where the hotel management team did a poor job of repairing holes, scratches, etc. The hot tub was not working and the pool had a suspicious green tint to it. I'm not a pool expert and it's a salt-water pool, but I'm still don't feel the water should be green. The road into the building, and parts of the parking lot are pitted with large potholes. If you're not careful, you could easily bend a rim on your car or truck. The A/C worked in the second room, but didn't appear to have been on anytime recently. Because of the high humidity in the area and the lack of running A/C, both rooms had a very strong, musty odor that permeated everything. When we left, even our clean clothes smelled musty. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows appeared to be years old and had lost their "fluff". The door handle was broken and would only opened when pulled up. The catch-lock (or whatever it's called) was barely held to the wall by very short screws after it had obviously been ripped off the wall in the past, so that protection mechanism was totally worthless. The picture and description were misleading. Upkeep of hotel was poor, pool and hot tub were dirty and unswimmable. The resteraunt was closed and our room went uncleaned throughout our stay

Great place to stay, with reasonable rates, good quality customer service. The wifi connection needs maintenance and improvement. Had trouble connecting to the closest router, and when I was finally able to connect I could not browse the internet. The rooms were nice and the bed was reasonably comfortable. I must say after I booked my room for 3 nights I read the reviews that others left , and I almost cancelled my reservation.I am glad I didn't. The hotel was not as bad as some make it out to be.Yes the hotel needs updating and the pool is green.I asked why it was greem and was informed that is is a salt water pool.We did not swim because it was just […] weird looking and the spa was dirty with chunks of concrete at the bottom. Other than that it was a great stay . We went to Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans and it was only about a 45 minute drive.We also went to the Casinos in Bay St louis and they were only about 15 minutes away.There is a Dominoes Pizza, Waffle House and Burger King within walking distance of the Hotel. If you are wanting a better value hotel than the big hotel chains I would recomend this hotel because its less expensive and is close to things to do . If I could change anything it would be the pool and spa , I really wanted to swim and sit in the spa but I couldn't brinng myself to get in. AC was duck taped together. No temp control, it was either REALLY hot or REALLY cold. Both of the doors on the adjacent rooms were so loud when they opened and closed that you could not sleep. All in all, I should have slept in the truck!!

I just stayed for a week over Christmas with my two kids who love to swim. they only went swimming two times because the pool (they said), was a cold as their outdoor unheated pool 5 miles away. They said the hot tub was the temp they thought the pool should be. There was also a hole in the bathroom door, and the latch lock on the room door was broken. […] My daughter, who has never had an ear infection, 3 days after swimming ended up with a severe ear infection, sinus infection, and has to have her tonsils out. great place for families w children. indoor pool IS NOT HEATED. And the reason the water is that greenish color in the hot tub is because its salt water. would go back. short drive to the beach and close to all areas of interest

Everything that we booked the hotel for was broken. Had very little towels in the room and when asked for some none was ever brought. It could be a great hotel if there was proper management.

in the add for the hotel it said heated pool it was not.king size bed was old,you rolled to the middle,bathroom was cramped,the worldpool pump was broken.I will not stay again.

I read a lot of negative things about this place but I did not find anything wrong. The place was very clean, The pool area was clean and the water clear and warm. And there is a great grill sportsbar next door.

The location was convenient and the room did not smell. That is about all that I can say that was positive. When we came into the room, the toilet had brown water and bugs. One of the neighboring rooms had a bunch of junk from other rooms and there was no curtain to hide the eye sore from view. It just did not feel that the room was clean. this hotel was reasonably priced and when i arrived i knew why couldnt have been more than 10 guests on a saturday the pool and jaccuzi were god awful and when i woke up i was blowing black stuff out of my nose from all the soot that came out of the a/c vents

This hotel does NOT look anything like the pictures that we viewed online!! What a deception job you have done. Especially the DISGUSTING pool! Best stay we have had at this hotel!!

maybe back in the day it may have been nice but its outdated. we had a roach in our room and when we checked in they tried to change our king bed to a double and told us it was the same price. but when questioned they upgraded to a suite with a double

This Hotel is so dated, it is unreal!! No room service, the carpet was dirty in the room. Wallpaper was torn with water stains. The atrium did not have any plants in the planters plus it had a horrible smell when you walked thru. Will not ever go back to this hotel!!!

Dont let the name fool u. Resort is very run down. Ok for overnight place to lay your head. People at neighboring bar/restaurant, The Red Zone, and hotel employees were extremely friendly.

Was very disappoointed. After checking reveiews for Bay St. Louis, my husband and I decided to stop at this resort. The cable channels were out of sync and had snow thru the picture. Hair Dryer didn't work and the pool looked green. Will not be staying here again.

I, am not planning on ever staying at this hotel again. It has the feel of a motel instead of a hotel. The building is old and need major upkeeping. The doors does not close completely to the guest rooms. I have truly stayed in better places. I did not feel safe.

WE arrived at midnight to shady characters walking around the hotel....there is a bar in the hotel where people are coming in and out which made me feel uncomfortable. They do have security roaming around. It was 100 degrees and the air had not been turned on which took several hours to cool down. The outside of the hotel was repulsive. The things I viewed going on the oustside of that establishment was unmentionable. Let's just say you may have gotten my money for free but I probable saved my self some issues by not staying there.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was discusting. The pool was greenish and the whirlpool was horrible. We left after 1 hour and 10 min. Our Bathroom still had yesterdays soap and used towels. It had mold on the walls. Don't be fooled by the name. First off this hotel is far from a resort. This hotel is need of major renovations. Our room had old worn carpet which hadn't been vacuumed very well, old furniture that was peeling, rusting metal rods in the bathroom, and old stench that seemed to saturate everything in the room. It wasn't the best hotel that i've had the pleasure of staying in. The wall sockets were not secure in the wall, the door didn't close up all the way. The carpet was wet looking from water damage. Got to hotel and had to wait 45 minutes for room to be cleaned. Called hotels.com, beware of using welcome rewards. If you change your reservation you lose your free stay. This was the worst experience I have had in over 20 years of traveling.First they downgraded room because of overbooking,The pool area is nothing like the photo you see on line,the floor sournding the pool has paint chipping and is falling into the pool and hot tub.Hot tub is warm tub and is not desireable at all. The pool was nice, the hot tub is useless unless your boiling seafood. The room condition was poor, and the beds were like sleeping on plywood.

We chose to stay at the Diamondhead Resort because of the indoor pool. We have two teenage boys that love to swim! It was a very disappointing stay. The beds were horrible! The smoke from the bar located at the front of the hotel permiated the entire front area of the hotel. Diamondhead was literally the only hotel available within about a 40 mile radius over Memorial Day weekend, so we took it for two nights. The service was good. The hotel itself is quite run down but everything in our room worked, even if it wasn't pretty. The interior door was spray-painted, which was strange, but other than being ugly didn't really […] hurt anything. Found an empty fruit cup under the bed so cleaning is not extremely thorough, but tub, sink, etc was all clean. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but they did look nice - just too full of kids. For the price it was a great deal. It is very close to NO, Biloxi, and Gulfport. Customer Service was great. The Club inside was awesome. Very, Very kid friendly. Thanks for a freat stay

We were visiting family in the area. We were there to sleep and shower only. Our biggest grip, we were there a total of 4 nights, but got clean towels only once.
