blankets had holes, toilet backed up on very first flush, staff was nice, location nice, on same street with stores and restaurants. overall was a great stay, good price deal, just didnt like the toilet problems.

Good price good service, perfect for a 2-4 day vacation.

The hotel was the least expensive in the area. All we were doing was sleeping there so I was going for economical. Check in & out was quick and easy. The staff was nice. The lobby was clean and well maintained but as soon as we walked around the corner toward the rooms we were hit with a really strong smell of stale cigarette smoke. The whole floor […] was supposed to be non-smoking but the odor was really strong! The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The plaster on the walls in the room were poorly repaired and painted over. The built in hair dryer in the bathroom was falling off the wall and missing parts so it didn't work. The fixtures on the tub were missing trim pieces. If you're looking for cheap this is the place to stay. If you want clean & well maintained look elsewhere. Skip the continental breakfast. We got to the lobby right when they opened and there were 3 muffins, a few bagels and dry some cereal. The gallon of milk in the fridge for cereal was outdated. 더 보기

All staffs members there always stare at you. Stop staring so much!!! Make me feel uncomfortable.

Despite the fact we had a do not disturb sign on the door we had hotel staff knocking on our door 3 or 4 times asking when we were checking out. We checked out 15 minutes past the check time of 11pm and the front desk charged us a late checkout charge completely ridiculous will never stay at this super 8 or any other super 8 again. location was good and staff was polite, but the room was old and the heater was so loud that i couldn't sleep well. the breakfast was not good.

They had gotten snow that evening nite. the only place shoveled was right in front of the lobby door. The next morning everyone around the hotel was powed out... but not the hotel. had to push the door open to move snow.. and walk in 8" of snow to the car. it was tough getting out of the parking lot. ( to a clear road.)

Hated it.

After 39 hours on the road, this place was a dream come true. The staff was efficient and welcoming. The room was clean with ample space. Beds were comfortable and pillows were perfect. If our paths crossed, I would stay there again.

Nice hotel,m easy to find and very comfortable after a long days ride. Close to shops and cafes

This Super 8 was very nice. Better than we thought it would be. Very comfortable. Desk staff very friendly. Rooms clean. Was perfect for our over night trip.

We forgot a piece of our luggage and we stayed the next nite at a nearby casino and on r way back thru we stopped back at the super 8 and they had it put aside with our name on it. I really thought they were going to say that it was not there or somebody must have taken it. When we arrived I discovered that one of our reservation forms called for a smoking room rather than non-smoking and I hadn't caught it. They had no non-smoking available the first night so we had to accept it. The second morning someone knocked on the door and advised a non-smoking was available so they switched. Room was clean. Hotel is in a good location within driving distance from the beach but still in a decent area close to the freeway. The breakfast bar was adequate. This is not a luxury hotel, had no swimming pool or elevator. We stayed on the second floor and had to haul our luggage up the stairs which was not that convenient. Loved it!!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. No problems what so ever with our reservations. Everything you could need right there or within 15 minutes, including the beach!!!!!! We will definatly be back!!!!

Our room had two double beds, a passable bathroom, a tube-type TV, a fairly nice desk, a separate table, a refrigerator, and a microwave. So the amenities were good. The outside door remained locked ... but not closed, so security wasn't great. The beds were good. The breakfast was typical high-carb fare.

Next to a number of eating places. Breakfast included muffins, baggles, cereal, toast, o.g. and coffee or tea.

Nice clean inexpensive hotel. Lots of restraunts close by.

I made this reservation for my wife and daughter and she said the room was not very clean and that the walls were paper thin. My wife said she could hear the ice machine compressor come off and on and every door close when they left. She also said that she could hear the tv next door. Rooms are clean and prices are ok , but you could get the same a little cheaper at other motels. Breakfast was really spartan and a little disappointing. All in all ok for a overnight stay.

The outside surroundings were clean and approachable from the interstate. In a good location parking was great. I've never been in Michigan City, IN. I am very sketical about staying in motels, but this was clean and satisfactory for the price. There are enough restaurants in the area to select from and easy access to the main streets. Not the cleanest room we've ever stayed in, but no problems. Room was comfortable and quiet. Good for the price.

Traveling with 2 children, we needed a relatively cheap hotel (considering the area) with no frills, just for overnight. This hotel is fine for that. The continental breakfast is meager, but there are dozens of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was full, but we were not bothered by any noise from other rooms.

If you want a place to store your overnight bag, then this will do fine. If you are expecting any kind of comfort from the room, or decent check in service then go elsewhere!!! I looked at reviews prior to booking this facility, and honestly was looking for somewhere cheap to crash for the night on the way through town. I was utterly disappointed in […] the front desk clerk upon arrival. (Young female who showed me her numerous tatoos without being prompted.) When I walked through the door, she was sitting at one of the tables watching television and asked what she could do. DId not stand up, did not turn TV off, completely unprofessional. What happened to friendly smile and customer service? I worked hospitality for years, and we would have been fired on the spot for this.... Anyhow, we checked in and rates were as quoted, Hotel.com did their job. :) When we got to our room, it felt very dingy, stale, old and overall icky. (Only word I can think to discribe it.) We cracked open the window, no screen and aired it out. Both of the beds were saggy in the middle, visable without sitting on them. Pillows were flat as pancakes. I called my front desk clerk friend and asked for extra pillows, was told the hotel did not have any more. We later walked down and asked for a cot, as both of the beds were so uncomfortable, and the clerk had her back towards us and without turning around stated "Nope, don't have any." At this point we decided to suffer through the night as it was now close to 11pm. The only positive thing about our stay was early am, when a new staff member was present and actually smiled and gave good customer service. There are so many people in serch of jobs and employment, why is Super 8 employing an individual like this? Again, if you'd like a shower and a place for your bag, then you can stay here for pretty cheap. Anything beyond that would be worth looking elsewhere for. The rooms are not well maintained, and my non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes. Also, the staff were disappointing. The front desk worker was more interested in the TV show she was watching than with helping customers and the cleaning staff attempted to enter our room while we were sleeping early in the morning without first knocking. The breakfast was nice to be included but was sparse. They had a few bagels, muffins, and danishes. Cereal was corn flakes and frosted flakes. There was a gallon of milk and OJ in the fridge and coffee on the side. It was alright but not a huge variety.

Good deal for the money

The hotel is no frills, but the staff were friendly enough and the room was decent. It is not really a destination stay, but it is fine if you are just looking to get off the highway for the night. Evening desk clerk was excellent. She was efficient and welcoming. The so-called free breakfast was pitiful. Very limited choices, frozen plain bagels, frozen butter and cream cheese, no fresh fruit, only cold cereal. hotel was under construction and didn't have enough towels for our room. this is the 3rd year I've stayed and it has always been acceptable. I will stay again

The staff was very friendly, room was simple,but clean. For the price, you couldn't ask for more. They were remodeling the breakfast area...so only going to improve :)

The Hotel wasn't terrible but not the cleanest. When we turned on the air conditioner dust balls came pouring out. And the bathroom sink had to be turned just right to shut off completely. Like I said, not terrible. It was a convenient location near high-way and not to far from casino, and shopping.
