The hotel was average. The staff was nice. Hard to get around if you don't have a car. The wait for a taxi was 30 to 45 minutes. Not convenient.

Good service and close to the port which is why I picked this hotel

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our recent stay at this hotel. We stayed there for one night when our daughter got married in 2009, and we had a very enjoyable experience. So, when we recently had to be away from home, we chose to return to the Crown Plaza. When we arrived, the valet was no where to be found. Fortunately, a fellow guest […] went in to the hotel and told them that we were waiting for the valet. While we waited, someone was digging through the trash can at the front of the hotel. The hotel was pretty clean, but it had a nursing home-type odor. Our TV had very few channels available. We alerted the front desk and they sent a repairman up to our room, but he said he would have to call the cable company. Also, our phone did not work. We tried to call our son.s room and got a recording that the occupants of the room were on the line. This was not true. The room service button on the phone did not work. The only way we could use the phone was to dial "O" and talk to the front desk. Overally, our stay at the Crowne Plaza was disappointing. We didn't pay top dollar to stay there, but the room wasn't cheap, either. We expected more from this hotel. We don't plan to stay there again. 더 보기

We stayed here because it was convenient to the cruise dock. We got everything we needed - early check-in, quiet rooms, a pool, food in the neighborhood, and a free ride to the cruise ship. The neighborhood is a little run down, but that is the way it is near the dock. We were fine walking around during the day, but I am not sure I would walk around […] at night. The Crowne Plaza-Los Angeles Habor/San Pedro was very conviently located close to the area where we had to go for our cruise. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very professional and friendly. Thanks for the apples! I would recommend this hotel to anyone cruising out of LA Harbor. We also used the parking garage below when we rented a car, […] which was next to the hotel. Only downfall, too far from LA city!!! But we were picked up for our tour of LA. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Oh, the restaurant breakfast was fantactic and the service outstanding! Very friendly people at this hotel and restaurant. We found the hotel to be very nice and convenient for our stay. We had a good time. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Nice place. Good handicap access room which was clean and tidy. Courteous personel. No problems with service. Had a nice breakfast at the restaurant. Excellent location in relation to the harbor. Lots of little places in the area if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Would stay there again.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our needs. Everything was within walking distance which was the goal. The hotel staff was friendly on Saturday but were completely rude and uncooperative on Sunday. we went down for breakfast fairly early and were told to come back in 10 mins or go elsewhere. we took a walk and came back and she totally disregarded […] that she told us to return for a table and then sat 4 other parties ahead of us as if we were not even standing there. I walked back across the dining room waiting area(literally 10 steps from the dining room) where my husband was seated and on the floor was the LARGEST dead cockroach I have ever seen laying in the middle of the floor. I was ill. I went immediately to the concierge and told him it needed to be removed ASAP. He looked at me like I was stupid. After approx 10-15 mins of waiting to make sure it was removed not one soul came. However I did see the concierge look into the area 3 times to see if I was still standing there. when no came I went to the check in desk and told her it needed to be taken care of and she simply stated "I called someone" I was done at this point. we went upstairs, got our selves together, our stuff and checked out. Sadly that filthy bug was still there when we left a good time later. Very disappointed considering what I spent on this hotel. 더 보기

Close to our destination. Very courteous & knowledgeable staff. Pleasant stay, would definitely return & recommend.

The room was spacious and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. I was pleased with the underground parking as the hotel is not located in an upscale neighborhood.

Severely disappointed in our 2 night stay at this hotel, and would never stay there again. This hotel is way overpriced! The only good thing about it is that it is two blocks from Ports of Call. Our room had an odd smell, and there was garbage left from the previous guests. We were gone from 9am until almost 4pm after our first night, and after a long […] day in the sun were looking forward to coming back to a room that had been cleaned up. Ours had not been cleaned. I called for the maid service, which showed up less than ten minutes later. While I was gathering things together and telling them we would need a few more minutes because my husband was in the shower, they opened the bathroom door and walked right in on him! The breakfast we paid for with the room was less than average; the eggs and hash browns were old, turkey bacon not cooked properly (some pieces raw and stuck together), and on Sunday the omelet maker was not at all friendly. The wait staff at the restaurant were all friendly and helpful, however. We heard our neighbors' doors slamming at all hours of the night. The surrounding neighborhood is not at all good nor did it feel safe, and there were no security measures on the grounds or in the parking lot taken to protect guests from potential opportunistic criminals. Never again will we stay at this hotel, nor would we recommend it to anyone. 더 보기

I choose the Crowne Plaza in San Pedro based on my prior experiences staying at their properties around the country. The beds are always comfortable and I get great sleep. However, I was very displeased with the room I was given. I requested the shower/tub to be drained as the water was ankle high the first day. They fixed it temporarily and I asked […] again two more times. Luckily I was only in the hotel for 4 nights. Basically had to ask for my tub to be drained on a daily basis. The room service was very inconsistent. Day one I ran out of toilet paper, no extra roll was in the room. The next day not all towels were replaced. The hotel was very quiet, not a lot of guests which was nice. The bed is very comfortable. I didn't like the TV though. Had to channel up about 10 times before I got any reception or any real channels. Decent access to the 110 freeway north to LA though. 더 보기

This was a nice hotel but was overpriced for the location and it did not even include breakfast. OK for business trips but not for a family vacation. Staff was very nice. Rooms Very clean, beds VERY comfortable. Pretty safe area as well.

Crown Plaza LA Harbor Hotel.... 1) Valet office lost my car keys twice. 2) Never gave me a valet receipt and then balked at letting me have my keys to get something out of my car without the receipt! 3) Left a window open by the elevator on the 8th floor with NO SCREEN. Any small child could have fallen right through. I couldn't believe someone would […] be so stupid to leave this window open. It was very hot in the hallways so I guess they wanted to cool it off. In town for a concert at Port O'Calls, very happy we chose this hotel. Location is perfect - it's only a few bucks more than cheaper options much further away. Annoying that they charge for the wifi - but other than that, everything was great. Big comfy bed, nice bathroom, modern interior and friendly helpful staff.

Down points: - pool didn't have towels, we needed t ogo in and ask for towels and then wait 10-15 minutes for delivery - gym is outside in an external building - not great access - gym equipment was circa 1980's, and that is for the equipment that the hotel DID have. They have no treadmill, the sauna didn't work, and the weight equipment was more dangerous […] than effective. Paying premium rates and there is no gym facility???? - no internet access...unless you wanted to use the pay per use internet office - which you need to walk through a banquet room (which had a wedding going on). totally unacceptable. - expensive restaurant - double beds should be outlawed Good points: - free shuttle to the cruise ship. - nicely decorated atrium Overall, I was very disappointed with the hotel experience and would not stay or recommend staying at a Crowne Plaza again. 더 보기

Driving into San Pedro has little to be desired unless the sight of shipping containers and railroad tracks excite you. But, we were pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood gem Crowne Plaza. We live about 1.5 hours away and had to be in town for two days for a high school soccer tournament. Staying local meant keeping my sanity and not having to drive […] through downtown LA traffic. I would stay here again...even without a tourny! The hotel is clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly. We took advantage of the swimming pool and hot tub as well as the gym. The restaurant is very pricy, but there is a Subway and great local eateries within a block. 더 보기

While the hotel is convenient if you want to stay in San Pedro, the facility is basically adequate. The bed was wonderful and linens crisp. The room was not cleaned well (found used lotion bottle under seat cushion). The jets in the jacuzzi by the pool were not working, but maintenance fixed them quickly once we told them. To not have free newspapers […] on the weekends was a disappointment - and we couldn't even buy one in the lobby giftshop - had to walk two blocks away for the Sunday LA Times! 더 보기

Wonderful hotel, near the Port for cruise lines, nearby gifty type shops and easy to walk to. Staff was friendly and resturant was good.

It is a delightful refurbished hotel near L A Harbor. One of our favorite restaurants. Antes, is within walking cistace. We walked there for a famtastic dinner. The view from the room of the Harbor was beatiful. The room was very clean, beds were super comfy, etc. We look forward to staying there again.

They were awesome in switching our nights with no questions. The restaurant is poor for breakfast. Waiters sat around and talked. Oatmeal in buffet was empty and the waiter told us he would add water to it. Gross! Finally made a fresh bowl for us. Never came around again. Great location to get to the port for a Catalina cruise.

Great place to stay close to the cruise ship port. Walk to downtown area, shops and restaurants.

Great views of the Harbor but room had a very stale smell and the toiletrees were the worst I've ever had in a hotel. The shampoo made me gag. I would not stay here again.

We enjoyed the neighborhood, especially a little Hungarian restaurant around the corner. The bathroom was dated and not clean, no fan we were able to operate. If you don't mind showering with some previous guest's hair and scum in the bathtub area, you will enjoy this hotel. It's unfortunate, we presumed a "Crowne Plaza" would be better than this.

We choose this hotel as we were leaving on a cruise and it is very close to the cruise terminal as well as offering free shuttle service. The hotel is a bit hard to find and not in the best of neighborhoods. The hotel includes a restuarant although the food was not outstanding, especially for the price, if stayed again I would look for a better place […] to eat. Our room was very nice and the bed was as comfortable as my own at home, that was a pleasant surprise. The hotel shuttle to the cruise terminal was handled very well, the only draw back was that it stops at a central place rather than at each cruise line, and since there were seveal cruise lines sailing that day, there was some disorganization to getting baggage handlers.
