The hotel is in a great location. Hotel staff was friendly. They brought my car out fairly quickly when requested. They have a hookah bar in the hotel which is great. Rooms were small but reasonable and clean. Bathroom was very clean. Hotel needs some updating but has everything you need for a night's stay. I would stay in this hotel again.

This is a great place! My wife and I loved the architecture and style of the place, the neighborhood/location was perfectly situated, and was a bargain for the price. We will definitely go back if we are in Miami.

Don't stay here!

We were on our honeymoon and going on a cruise on monday, decided to stay in south beach sunday nite. $35 cab from the airport. Great service, we got there early and they kept our luggage in a locked room untill we were able to check in. The room smelled clean although some of the towels had stains on them. Good for the price close to beach but the will charge u 25$ for valet parking for EACH night plus tax

The hotel was close to the beach and plenty of restaurants and bars. However, the beds were hard as a rock and the pillow were just as bad. Every morning the trash truck comes down the alleyway. You can hear it make at least 10 stops and empty EVERY dumpster before 7am.

Nothing to fancy, clean room, freindly staff, walking distance to beach and party.

This hotel is definitely old and could use some TLC but is worth the value (depending on when you book) given the location.

I had a great stay and was treated nicely by the hotel staff. It is the equivalent of 2 blocks from the beach and I was also able to take the bus to Miami (proper) very easily. The staff answered all of my questions (I had a lot of questions!) Be aware that there may be djs in the evening until about 10:30 pm-11:00 pm But, this shouldn't be a big issue […] as most people are about to go out and party at that time. There is no pool. I was pleased with the rooms and the surrounding area of the hotel. I felt that the staff was very lax. I reported that the elevator was not working to the desk clerk and it did not even phase him. His response was "Its not working". I tried to tell him I was waiting like 10 mins upstairs as I have had major surgery on my back and cannot accent or decend […] stairs. A few steps is okay, but 3 flight, I was in misery when I had to walk down and back up again. In any event, I had to get ice and there was no sign on the door of the elevator. A man was waiting for the elevator and the door opened. My thought was, Oh, its working; so I went in with my granddaughter. The door closed and moved up in but stopped. We were stuck for at least 20 mins. This should never happen. Even though I was displeased with this happening, I would go back. Guests of the hotel seemed to be mostly mid to late 20s, and being spring break, it was fairly noisy late into the night. However, the hotel is very convenient to South Beach, reasonably price, and was recently updated with a fresh, new age design. The room was impeccably clean. I would definitely stay there again.

Dirty hotel with roaches

I'd recommend this hotel to people who value location and convinience at a limited budget. Pro: great location (2 min to the beach!), friendly staff, nice continental breakfast. Con: have to pay for parking, the early morning dumpster noice (it's really loud!), small and old building (but overall clean, you get what you pay for).

Wonderful location. breakfast, no pool. Happy hour. cheap rate, helpful staff, parking is twnty-fve dollars per day but unlimited.

The location is great, but this is definitely a boutique hotel. We had 2 rooms and one of them was not much bigger than my walk-in closet. You could almost touch the first bed in the room with the door. There are no peep holes on the doors. We got stuck on the elevator one night even though we adhered to the 3 person maximum (although they moved quickly […] to get us out). As far as the cleaning staff is concerned, all they did was restock the towels and make the beds. With us each taking 2 showers a day, I expect for the tub/shower to be cleaned daily as well. They do not tell you that they charge an extra "resort fee" outside of what you pay on hotels.com that basically entitles you to beach towels. The bar pictured is as small as a regular closet. And my biggest surprise about this hotel was the LACK OF ELECTRICAL OUTLETS! Our TV was plugged up via an extension cord! How do you have a modern hotel with only two sets of outlets in a room? So, clearly, we spent more time charging electronics than watching television. Positively speaking, the hotel is walking distance from the beach and sits in the middle of Ocean Drive. The hotel staff is very pleasant, also. I would recommend this spot if all you want to do is lay your head down. There are nicer places to stay not that far away, in my opinion. 더 보기

The Hotel Southbeach palaza in Miami is in a great location with great costume service!!

I was satisfied with my room, and the "continental breakfast" was a little more robust than I've experienced at other hotels; this one had yogurt and fruit in addition to bagels and cereal. Nice hotel with good service, polite employees and a perfect location. Stayed there for 10 days with our 2 year old son. Standard child-bed, but no baby-size pillow etc.

Got a great room in the side building. It was like a condo,nice decor, clean,large fridge and microwave. Walk one block to the beach. Check it out. Nice check in guy and staff.Twenty dollar a day parking a few blocks away or valet deal. I liked it.

Very noisy for families, The restaurant terrible and is not always open. The rooms Very old and The worst thing is that at 6:00 o'clock the garbage bus makes a lot of noise. Never coming back.

The only reason to book this hotel is location - but you can find better offers shopping around. The staff not very friendly - bad service - and they don´t care. The hotel is worn down!

I can put up with a lot of hotel issues, but I couldn't tolerate the noise going on outside my room. I was on the 2nd floor facing Collins Ave, and I got very little sleep due to traffic noises.

Nice hotel at the centre of South beach, but the rooms are quite horrible, there was noise from the garbage truck EVERY morning at 6 am and the hotel was not that clean.... breakfast ok, but nothing special. Would choose for one night at Sobe when you use this place just for sleeping.

Excellent location 1 block from Ocean Avenue, so quiet. Extremely helpful staff. Quaint, funky, not the usual chain hotel.

One of the worst hotel I´ve ever stayed in. Besides, I reserved the hotel by hotel.com which was disrespectfull with me, becaus I requested two room with to doble bads, regarding that we were four adults. Originally I had a small room#116 that looked like a upscale version of a motel 6 room. My water in the tub was brown, probably due to none use. I told the front desk and without a hassle he switched me to a nicer room #220 that was more modern. Stand up shower, king size bed, nice closet and room space. ONLY issue was the LOUD noise from the dump trucks […] EVERY MORNING...Any room on the back side of the hotel is a NO GO!!! Location is great; near to Ocean Dr, Lincoln Rd, etc but it takes too much time to get someone in the front desk when it comes to calling from the room. It doesn't matter if you have your own phone card for LD calls, they are going to charge a major amount per second plus taxes just because for the use of their phone facilities. I stayed in a bungalow. It was very comfortable and the location was excellent! 500 feet from a bar. The other bars, clubs, and The Beach were only a few blocks away. Overall an amazing trip! Only downside: every morning my room key seemed to demagnetized and I had to get front desk's help.

Clean and spacious room with very nice local decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Just a short walk from the beach and nice restaurants. Recommended.

simple, clean, and decently priced hotel. Great location in walking distance to lots of good food and site seeing. and, just a block from the beach! quiet in the evening since it's separate from the beach scene by just enough. clean room, only complaint is the mattresses weren't too comfortable so I woke up during the night moving around a lot.

Hotel location is great. The hotel itself is wonderful. You can kind of hear everything going on in other rooms, but I got this hotel for a "girls weekend" so we didn't care because we were just as loud. HOWEVER, the hotel was doing some kind of promotional collaboration with a club nearby and we couldn't even sit at the bar in the hotel or outside […] on their patio without being hassled and visually molested by this promoter. It 100% ruined our time in Miami and our stay at the hotel. I don't know if this is a regular thing they do on Friday nights, but we had ZERO desire to go to this guy's club yet he wouldn't leave us alone. If you are a young and attractive female, DO NOT STAY HERE! You will not be left alone. We even had random guys who weren't staying there, walk into the lobby just to try and talk to us, very very annoying! 더 보기

This is not the Ritz. But it is a clean hotel. Our bed was in good shape... a firm king-size. The bathrooms are tiny, but clean. Air conditioning was a problem, either on and too cold or off.
