We absolutely loved our recent stay at Hotel Palace. The hotel itself is a beautiful building with a lot of character. Our room had a view of the lake along with the town, as well as being spacious with comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious and more than what you could ever need, there was free wifi access in the lobby/bar area, and a free shuttle […] bus service to the town and train station whenever we needed (the longest time we had to wait was an hour, while the shuttle was in use by other patrons). We also ate at the hotel restaurant twice and found the food both delicious and affordable. What really made our stay was the service we received from Christie the driver and Domenico the barman, they were both very professional, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. We would most definitely return to this hotel, and recommend it to others! 더 보기

Great value, ideal location, great food and friendly service.

Perfect spot - great views of Lake Varese - gentile staff - oozing old world charm at a most reasonable price. A wonderful choice. I only hesitate to recommend this for fear that it may become too well known. AAA

The hotel felt like an old palace on a hill- -like they advertise. It needs some refreshing but still was very different and comfortable with Tall ceilings, beautiful gardens and trees all around it. They had live music in the gardens several nights- kind a nice freebie. Nice sitting areas outside all around the hotel. Per our request, they gave us […] a room with with a private balcony and unbelievable view- perfect!! Breakfast was adequate. It was all wheelchair accessible and parking is plentiful and free. Great hotel on a hilltop a few km from central varese surrounded by gardens very relaxing well maintained and wonderful staff a grand hotel. If you have a car it's the place to stay if not it's more than worth the short taxi ride they also have a shuttle service

Great hotel, especially for the price. The hotel has a 'grand old lady' feel, but is very comfortable and clean and has all the conveniences you'd want (although free wifi would have been nice...it's pretty pricey!). good hotel lack of vegetable in breakfast

We stayed in Varese 2 nights to visit the lakes Maggiore, Como, Lugano. Very nice hotel with a beatifull view, large rooms, good service, Not easy to find, however, once you get there it all worth it. Woul reccommend this hotel for longer stays.

We highly recommend this hotel as long as you have a car (although in the middle of the town it is set high on a hill up a long winding road). It has real character, you can imagine horse and carriages coming up the drive when it was in its heyday The room was great - spacious and clean with a fabulous bathroom. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful […] (but some were decidely off-hand and could have done with some sort of customer training programme!) The view out of the breakfast room is stunning - get a table near the window, a good breakfast too. Hotel is a grand old hotel located on top of a hill, with an extraordinary view of Varese. Room was large by European standards and very comfortable. I wish we had more than a single day in the area. Internet service is via Swiss Com and is billed at daily rate of 22 Euros. Breakfast was very good. Parking was free and plentiful if you are driving.

Good honest description on the website. Nice stay, but did feel slightly like an old peoples home.

A grand hotel that must have been built for royality in early 1900s. Although now a little dated, but still extremly nice. The grounds are fantastic with a tenis court and nice little pool

This place is a time-warp and a most pleasant one. The staff is multi-lingual and helpful. Rooms are ancient but with modern amenities including a jacuzzi large enough for a party if one is so inclined. The complimentary breakfast with silver service is worth the price of admission. We used this for a night on our way from Milan Malpensa to Lake Como as we were arriving quite late and did not want to drive far. Varese is well signposted from Malpensa airport and you simply drive straight through town to get to hotel. Long steep driveway so need a car. Hotel has very old fashioned grand feel about it. Breakfast standard stuff for an Italian hotel. Grounds somewhat unkempt but there is a little swimming pool if you want to catch some sun. Das Hotel ist in der Nähe vom Zentrum, jedoch in erhöhter Lage ohne Auto/Taxi kommt man nicht weit. Ein kurviger Weg führt zum grün umgebenen Palace Hotel, dass auch wircklich wie ein Palast aussieht. Die erhöhte Lage ist dafür fantastisch, die Aussicht auf dem See und den Bergen ist wunderschön. Sehr schönes Hotel in sehr schöner Lage. Es hat den Flair der 30er Jahre. Wunderschönes Zimmer ,frisch renoviert ,klimatisiert . Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen und würden jederzeit nochmal dort unterkommen . hôtel très bien situé au calme sur les hauteurs chambre spacieuse et très confortable petit déjeuner copieux parc avec piscine, parking sans souci pour se garer, bref tout était parfait rien de particulier à Varese mais la situation permet de bien sillonner les environs tel que Lac Majeur ou Milan ou Lugano

Prachtig hotel op een heuvel gelegen, met geweldig uitzicht. Een fijne verrassing de 1e overnachting in Bella Italia, je bent meteen helemaal in de sfeer! Echt een aanrader!

Op de overnachting op de terugreis van Italie naar huis deden we dit hotel aan, waar we ongeveer 20 jaar eerder goede ervaringen mee hadden, met de overweging dat we wel eens vergane glorie konden aantreffen. Ok die besten Zeiten liegen hinter dem Palace und eine Renovierung steht an aber dennoch das Haus hat sehr viel Flair und oberhalb von Varese eine tolle ruhige Lage mit klasse Blick auf den See. Nicht zuletzt der Preis macht es zu einem tollen Angebot.

Vi fikk dette hotellet til en svært billig penge gjennom hotels.com. FLott gammelt hotell på toppen av en høyde i Varese. Rommene hadde balkong og flott utsikt. Gratis lån av rackerter og baller til tennisbanen. Bassenget var lite, men deilig. God mat i restauranten.

Service einwandfrei,sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter am- Empfang ,umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet mit Aussicht auf See - keine Klimaanlage, Kaffee vom Automat,bei meinem Aufenthalt Lärm von Parkrestaurant (Liveband bis ca..24.00)

ottimo albergo, il punto dove si trova è bellissimo con ottimo panorama sul lagodi varese, personale molto gentile, ottima pulizia della camera, vicino al centro città di varese, consigliato.

Service gut, schöner pool mit Liegefläche, Tennisplätze sind Hartplätze nicht gepflegt, schöne Außenanlage mit Sitzgelegenheiten, Zimmer super, Frühstück sehr gut, wunderschönes Jugendstilhaus. Zum Ort (Varese) braucht man Auto, ansonsten shuttle-service bis 21 Uhr.

Een goed hotel,met een mooie ligging.Een imposante inkomhal maar wat vergane glorie. De kamer was netjes maar ook aan renovatie toe.Al bij al goede prijs-kwaliteit.

Souhaitant visiter la région de Lugano, nous avons choisi notre hotel en Italie pour des raisons de budget. Cet hotel s'est avéré de très grande qualité, et a dépassé nos attentes. Les chambres sont très grandes, et tous munis d'une vue splendide. Un bémol s'il faut le citer : le petit déjeuner, peu fourni et peu de choix.

Nous avons été conquis par ce grand palace !!! Quand nous avons vu le prix pour cette hôtel 4 étoiles, on s'est dit qu'il y avait certainement une arnaque quelque part. Mais nous n'avons pas été déçu. Au contraire, pouvoir profiter d'un tel luxe à un tel prix est vraiment agréable. L'hôtel est propre, la nourriture succulente. Un petit hic: la réception. […] La personne a la récéption était assez antipathique et lorsque nous sommes arrivés à l'hotel avec le no de réservation, rien n'était préparé dans le système! Ehrwürdiges Hotel mit prachtvoller Grandezza des ausgehenden 19. Jahrhunderts in einem schönen Garten oberhalb von Varese gelegen. Von den Zimmern gibt es einen schönen Ausblick auf den Lago Varese und die Tessiner Berge. Kurze Wege nach Lugano und den Monte Generoso. Sehr beeindruckend ist die Hotel-Lobby (viel Marmor, Eichenholztäfelungen und Kristallleuchter). […] Schöne Zimmer, allerdings war ich mit dem Bad keineswegs zufrieden (zu klein, der Duschkopf ließ sich nicht verstellen, sehr langes Warten auf warmes Wasser). Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, könnte aber für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel noch besser sein (insbesondere keine billigen Juice-Getränke und keinen Kaffee aus dem Automaten, keine abgepackten Marmeladen und keine richtigen Rühreier). Dennoch: Um mal die "alten Zeiten" selbst zu erleben, lohnt sich ein kurzer Aufenthalt von drei Tagen - man kann, wenn man länger im Tessin ist, ja auch noch weitere Hotels probieren. 더 보기

Hotel ist über 100 Jahre alt und dennoch in einem schönen Zustand, wer gerne Nostalgie hat ist hier richtig.

It is the second time we come here for a few days and we are very delighted. The hotel is an old Grand hotel (> 100 years) with all the comfort new hotels do not afford any more. The rooms are very spacious, high ceilings, marble everywhere, and the rooms with bathtub actually have a private jacuzzy. The personnel is very professional, I can only recommend […] to visit the Bar and order any cocktail you like - you will not be disappointed. The Restaurant is also pretty good and the prices are reasonable. They do not have a large menu, but they will try to make anything you wish. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer traumhaften Lage und spiegelt noch immer die Grandezza der Anfänge des vergangenen Jahrhunderts wider. Der Blick aus dem Hotelzimmer war überwältigend und es hätte auch von der umgebenden Landschaft nicht schöner sein können. Was das Frühstück angeht, könnte dies etwas mehr dem mitteleuropäischen Standard entsprechen. […] Wie schon von Vorgängern beschrieben, lässt die Kaffeemaschine im Frühstückssalon zu wünschen übrig. Leider konnten wir auch beobachten, wie die Frühstücksbedienung beim erneuten Eindecken der Tische sämtliches Besteck nicht an den Griffen, sondern an der Benutzerfläche anfasste, und das, nachdem sie gebrauchtes, schmutziges Geschirr abgeräumt hatte. In einem Hotel dieser Klasse müsste man erwarten können, dass das Personal besser geschult ist. Dafür war der Barkeeper an der Theke umso professioneller und dienstbeflissener. Insgesamt haben wir den Kurzurlaub im Grand Hotel sehr genossen und können es nur weiterempfehlen. Darum: Gerne wieder!!! 더 보기

Da Palace Hotel ist äusserlich nicht mehr ganz taufrisch, innen ist aber alles sehr gepflegt, liegt überhalb der schönen Stadt Varese auf einem kleinen Hügel inmitten einer Parkanlage, traumhafte Aussicht, empfehlenswert, auch wenn wir vor Weihnachten fast die einzigen Gäste waren, schade.
