화이트 스완 호텔 (White Swan Hotel) - 광저우

인터넷 빼고 모든 것이 좋았다. 방에도 무료 무선 인터넷이 되도록 해야 한다.

호텔 상태는 좋았음. 친절하고 일 잘하는 직원들. 리노베이션 때문에 잠시 문을 닫을 거라고 들었음. 새단장을 하면 이 호텔에 다시 오고 싶다. 그 때도 높은 수준의 서비스가 유지되었으면 싶다.

저도 U.S. 입양 가족들이 The White Swan에서 숙박한다는 것이 진부하다는 것을 압니다.... 하지만 이번 여름에 헤리티지 여행으로 중국으로 왔을 때 여전히 정말 즐겁게 지냈습니다. 조식 부페는 여전히 굉장했습니다. 위층 전망도 여전히 좋았습니다. 서비스도 여전히 정말 반응이 빨랐고, 정중했습니다. 방은 약간 오래됐습니다. 하지만 전체 건물이 내년에 새단장을 한다고 누군가에게 들었습니다. The White Swan이 다른 몇 군데보다 비싸긴 하지만 호텔이 위치한 Shamian Island 동네의 식민지 시대의 특색과 정말 잘 어울리는 일종의 우아한 매력을 지니고 있었습니다. 여전히 추천합니다.

We love this hotel and stay a couple of times a year on our trips to Guangzhou to visit our son. It is one of our favorite hotels in the world, and the Hotels.com price makes it that much more enjoyable. The location is perfect. Room service is very expensive and it should cut 50% of the prices. Shuttle bus service is good but need to be more frequent. There should be between 10:45 and 2:30 and between 16:45 and 18:30.

I was very impressed by the concierge's services. They were very professional and verified ID to ensure the right person picked up the checked luggage. All my valuable left inside the bag was intact when I retrieved it.

The suite I got through Hotels.com was a great deal... lots of space, incredible view of the river (and the opposite river shore, which is where the action is!), and fast internet. I was, however, very disappointed in the quality of the food. That's the same almost wherever you go in China though... the quality of the ingredients just isn't good. Also, […] don't ever think about ordering the American breakfast there! It tastes like it was cooked in the bathroom of a truckstop diner, with over-easy eggs cooked worse than the first breakfast my wife cooked for me. (Her cooking is much, much better now!) The sausage tasted like pigeon meat, and the bacon was allowed to soak in grease after it was cooked, giving it a nasty taste. It would have been nice if the hotel was on the other side of the river where the bar street is, but otherwise it was a pretty good location with nearby restaurants (clean ones!) and access to the river. 더 보기

We love that the hotel is located right by the river side with nice view, especially at night. We also like the huge public area with waterfall, the swiming pool, the barbacue area., the park .... The staff is very nice and helpfull. The hotel is not in downtown, but it is easy the catch a taxi to go around.

Over priced, need upgrade, beautiful surrounding. For the price paid, there are lot more choices.

We stayed in the White Swan for three nights while we were doing the second leg of the Canton Fair. We switched hotels in between the first and second session of the show to mix it up and see a different side of the city. For the first session we stayed at the Chinese Hotel by Marriott which was a much better deal, and a much nicer room (and soft beds!!)but […] not in as nice of a neighborhood. To sum up the White Swan, it was a very nicely placed hotel right on the water, and in a french quarter part of China, which was very nice, but the room was a little worse for wear. For example the carpets needed a cleaning, the tub didn't quite drain while you were taking a shower and the beds were rock hard. For the kind of money that we paid for that room the beds should have been an upgrade from the typical Chinese beds. The restaurants were delicious in the hotel but really really expensive. On the upside where the hotel was located was really cool. Lot's of shopping within walking distance, and we took a ferry boat to the show instead of a hot bus, which was really refreshing. I have to admit that if they would have changed the mattresses I would have given the hotel a recommendation, but that was the deal breaker for us. 더 보기

Very nice experience, hotel staff friendly, everything clean. The only thing I can complain about is the price of food and drinks. Extremely expensive, but there is a Deli located at the back of the hotel and a restaurant walking distance that serves steak and hamburgers at a very affordable price.

Beautiful hotel, great customer service, free airport and train station shuttle, excelent location within walking distance from restaurants and shops, located at the riverfront with outstanding view. I'd love to stay there again in the future

My last stay at the White Swan was disappointing. Let me start with the laundry service in the hotel. It cost me $70. When I went outside the hotel it cost me $8. a little bit of a difference? To rent a dvd player they charged by the hour. To talk in the business center (I use to call home via skype), costs money. The location was out of the city, so […] in order to shop or go to the zoo, it was a drive. The housekeeping personnel were great! They helped in anyway they could. During several previous trips to Guangzhou, I've always been uncomfortable and plagued with digestive troubles. My experience at the White Swan was the opposite. Delicious food, attentive service, without the blandness of a American chain hotel. All in all, a lovely stay. The island is a perfect place for runners or walkers -- tree-lined streets, quiet, […] without traffic. A new subway station, under construction, is extremely convenient. In a city that I think is one of the most unfriendly and "cold" in China, the White Swan is a welcome harbor to escape to. Once you walk in, you see one of the most beautiful lobbies, with a three story waterfall, and a very knowledgeable and expert staff to assist you.. The rooms are large, and very comfortable. One note, if you are looking for an […] extra-quiet atmosphere, I would suggest upgrading to an executive room, for just a little more- you will be treated like a King (or Queen). Also, this is a common hotel for people adopting children from China, so there are a lot of families staying there, and the executive floor would give a better separation from the noise of some of the families with young children....but don't let this deter you, this is a great hotel, and I will definitely stay there again. 더 보기

I particularly enjoy the staffs in which I found them very professional and they were able to provide sight seeing information in detail. Tip for next visitor: the hotel would offer pick up service from GZ East station if you call them in advance. Also they have regular but not so frequent shuttle bus service from the hotel to the station.

I have stayed at the Swan several times and I am reminded of the fairy tale, the ugly duckling, because the building looks sort of drab as you pull up to it, that old Chinese type exterior. But once inside this hotel is great. The lobby is exotic, the selection of restaurants is excellent, the staff is polite and competent and the rooms are about the […] best I have found in Guangzhou. For the intrepid the area a few blocks in back of the hotel is tremendous for getting a feel for street markets and beyond that an area of high tech shopping. A good price performer. The doorman was quite concerned that we wanted a cab and were not sure where we wanted to go. He said "I hope you can make yourself understood" and gave us a card with the hotel name on it. He was relieved when my son told him, in Mandarin, that he was fluent. I guess they dont meet many westerners who are. 더 보기

Stayed at the White Swan for four nights while working a few trade shows in the region. The hotel was nice, though a little dated. The area, Shamian (sp?) island, was absolutely beautiful. Every afternoon, I walked the surrounding area and you would never know you were in a city of 12 million people. Место расположения -удачное, прекрасное место для прогулок, одно из красивейших мест города. Отель полностью оправдывает свои 5 звезд. Отличные завтраки-вкусно и разнообразно. Персонал знает свое дело и постоянно готов помочь. По вечерам в баре тихая живая музыка, женщина за роялем прекрасно исполняет на английском. Достойный выбор.

Ein erstklassiges five star hotel in einem außergewöhnlich schönenem Kolonialviertel mit parkähnlichem Charakter gelegen. Allein der Innenhof des Hotesl mit seinem Wasserfall und dem großen Koiteich ist ein Besuch wert. Auch sonst stimmt alles.
