Stayed here with SEVERAL other families from our area, (while we were away with our kids for their sports event.) Almost everyone I talked to said they had at least 1 bed in their room which the Select Comfort didn't work. The front desk was less than enthused to help any of us to get the beds to work. Also, the resturant was under construction, which […] we were not informed of when we reserved our rooms. The breakfast buffet was ok, but mostly the hot items were cold, although they had a nice selection. They did have free beer, wine & appetizers for 1 hour in the evening, so that was nice. The pool is small, nothing fancy, but it worked. The elliptical machine was a piece of crap, and one of the treadmills didn't work at all. The ice machine on one floor wasn't functioning, so people had to go to a different floor to get ice. It was kind of loud being so close to the airport, but only occasionally did we hear the planes overhead. One member of our party had their windows broken out and their GPS stolen. So I question the security of the parking lot. I probably wouldn't stay here again, unless it was the last motel with available rooms.... 더 보기

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are large, clean, and modern and the staff is friendly, competent, knowledgeable. An airport shuttle is provided. The restaurant and bar are excellent and the hotel provides a complementary breakfast. The only negative regarding the hotel is the location. It is located near the airport but not near anything else, […] such as restaurants, entertainment, etc.. It is excellent for an airport meeting or if you have transportation available to you. 더 보기

Everything was perfect prior to our early morning flight from DSM. The business center made it easy to print travel documents. The price was excellent. I would definately book again.

I highly recommend this hotel to travelers staying or doing business near the airport. Restaurant was excellent. Nice accomodations, friendly staff, good complimentary breakfast. My only complaint is the heating/air conditioning unit was very loud and positioned to blow directly on the person sleeping in the bed.

This is a great place to stay for business or pleasure. The hotel is well equipped and clean. The restaurant and bar are very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful.

NOT FIRST TIME TO STAY HERE LOVE THE HOTEL, SERVICE AND RESTAURANT

For the price we paid, we felt it was a great value. We had a pleasant delicious dinner at the restaurant accompanied by drinks compliments of your free drink tickets. The sleep number bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had a nice variety of choices. We would definitely recommend it.

The restaurant at this airport hotel was outstanding. I'd stay there again just for the fantastic food. My room was substandard. The air went off when I was not present, so when I returned to the room, it was quite warm. The air conditioner was quite loud, too. They had a sleep number bed with a malfunctioning remote. There was a great deal of evidence […] of a recent destructive party in the room (markings on the wall and ceiling, major damage to the desk). All of that said, the staff was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the overall experience was acceptable. If the room had been of higher quality and in better shape, this hotel would have gotten 5s across the board. 더 보기

The tub in our bathroom had black mold behind the caulking. It was really gross, and I don't care for the sleep number beds. Besides that the rest of the room was pretty nice.

We had great difficulty finding the hotel. We asked for a non-smoking room but could smell traces of cigarette smoke. No one from the front desk offered to assist us with our luggage or help us find a luggage cart. To top it all off, when we first arrived, we were all very tired from a long day's travel and stopped in the hotel's Italian restaurant. […] We had two small children with us, and we wanted something light to eat before going to our room for the night. We told the waiter several times that we wanted to eat very lightly since we were tired and it was getting late. We ordered what we thought was a light dinner with just a few appetizers to share. It took 10 minutes just to get some ice water. However, when the food was brought to us, the plates were so huge, the five of us could have shared one appetizer. Unfortunately, we ordered four appetizers, and the majority of the food was (1) extremely spicy, especially for young children; (2) very pricey, although if you used the appetizer for a shared meal, the price wouldn't be bad; and (3) mostly wasted since we couldn't eat it all and had no way to take it with us. We wound up with some very upset tummies, including ours. We were extremely disappointed with the waiter since we had told him numerous times we only wanted something small; but he was only looking increase the bill apparently. Needless to say, our lack of appreciation was demonstrated when he received a corresponding tip. About the only thing we enjoyed were the beds. We don't recommend this place, unfortunately. 더 보기

Very nice hotel. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Would recommended staying here. Was reasonably priced.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! When we arrived, the shower curtain rod was damaged, the toilet was leaking and the tub drain was slow. We left a note for the housekeeper in the morning telling her our concerns and by the time we arrived back at the hotel that afternoon, the toilet, the drain and the curtain rod were all fixed! We were […] very impressed with the attentiveness to our needs! The staff was very helpful and friendly. We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good! The morning staff at the continental breakfast was very kind and attentive to the guests' needs and the breakfast was very good!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Des Moines area. The only drawback to the hotel was the airport was very close to the hotel so you heard planes throughout the daytime hours, but not at night. 더 보기

Radisson advertises their sleep comfort beds. We has 2 Queen size beds in our room and neither one would work. Matresses were whorible.......... When we got up in the AM discovered the smoke detector was missing. The bathroom door Has a spring hinge which was irritating because the door kept opening with too much pressure. Lovely hotel and nice rooms. Found them very clean and relaxing atmosphere with the white comforters and imagine my surprise when I found out a sleep number bed which I have always wanted to try. Disappointed I couldn't find out my "sleep number" as it did not illuminate on the dial but a nice peaceful rest non the less. Also I accidentily dropped one […] of my favorite earrings down the drain shortly after arrival and phone call to the front desk they had personnel there within minutes and my earring was saved to wear that night. We had a nice experience at this hotel. We got in late (10:30 pm) and we had a very nice and extremely friendly check-in experience. Our tv remote didn't work and they fixed it very quickly. The room was clean, the beds were great. The air conditioning unit was loud when it would kick on/off but other then that-no compliants. Breakfast was outstanding […] and our check out experience was just as fast and friendly as the check-in. We had a very quick ride to the airport and we were able to park our car for the week for free at the hotel. We will stay again. 더 보기

Overall, the Radisson was a very nice hotel. The staff was friendly, it was clean and the breakfast was great. The only negative was that the sleep number bed did not work and therefore, the beds were a bit hard.

We have stayed at this Radisson many times in the past but this time we stayed in two different rooms and the "Sleep Number Bed" remote didn't work! Very disappointing!! Also one room's club chair looked as though someone had spit toothpaste all over it. No excuse for something like that not being cleaned. We have stayed at this hotel several times when visiting family close to Des Moines. Our only complaint was that their "sleep number" beds did not work!!! The remote would not change the firmness or softness. It was just somewhat disappointing. Other than that, we enjoy the location, ambiance, and Johnny's Steak House next door with complimentary breakfast. A great place to stay. If you sleep llightly the airport noise may bother you. The hotel staff is friendly, but the night bartender not so friendly. Johnnys restaurant has good food and is priced well. The hotel offers a free drink and a very nice hot breakfast each day. I would recommend this for business or leisure trips.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel. We really enjoy it there. It is a clean hotel, the rooms are nice, and we have kids and the pool is never very busy when we are there. The breakfast is good. It is by the airport, but you are not able to hear the planes in your room. Recommend this hotel to others!

We liked the closeness to the airport, free parking and shuttle to airport, the pool, the restaurant attached right to the hotel and the complimentary breakfast buffet. We've stayed there before and will stay there again.

We were just visiting family in the Des Moines area. We could not find a hotel room downtown for the weekend (everything was sold out) so we settled for the Radisson by the airport. This is a new hotel and it was just great. It is clean, the rooms are very nice with comfy sleep number beds and pillows. Most of our visit was taking place downtown so […] it meant a little car travel but we managed. Considering it is next to the airport, I didn't hear a plane all weekend. Maybe the airport was closed. The room comes with a breakfast and drinks in the evening. Very nice. This is a great place to stay if you want clean rooms, comfy beds and an enjoyable experience. 더 보기

I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 pm, and had no problem checking in. Room was very clean, new. Best feature for us was the bed. It was a Sleep Number bed, and was our first experience on one. Great nights sleep. Liked the TV. Some hotels havnt upgraded to a flat screen yet. No complaints, would stay again at this hotel.

As the title says -- the staff was very friendly and the location was great for an early flight out. Inclusion of breakfast was also nice since the airlines no longer provide food.

The Sleep Number bed was very comfortable and the bed linens were especially plush. The complimentary breakfast buffet was great.

We loved the hotel, our room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was also very good.

Check in was terrible. They had the wrong information and gave us a different room than what we reserved. The staff (Michelle) wasn't apologetic and was indifferent to having the wrong information and the wrong room. Also, the Jet Noise is really loud. The was some good. There was a couch in the room, but you couldn't comfortably watch the TV from the couch. The only place to see the TV was on the bed

Clean, pleasant staff. Lovely lobby area. Rooms were fine.

Stayed there with our granddaughters and we really enjoyed what we used of the facilities. Especially enjoyed the pool - just the right size for little people. Also had a really nice breakfast and our waiter was awesome.

Great hotel. very clean and loved the sleep number beds. new lcd tv, but channels did not come in very good and no HBO.
