My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and it was just a perfect time. the Hotel was just so unique with each feature it has. From the paintings on the wall to the furniture , everything was just well done. the staff was so helpful as well. they let us borrow an umbrealla and were very fast to respond to our needs.

22 dollars. To park in their parking. Lot.??? Sucks., parking. Should. Be included. In room price

The hotel had rugs & thresholds that were duct taped down to the floor. If they would spend a couple hundred dollars on fixing these issues it would be a much nicer place to stay. I couldn't recommend anyone to stay here if I know their impression of the hotel is going to be ruined because of the rugs that are duct taped to the ground.

Not sure if all the rooms were like mine, but the carpet was dreadfully dirty, the bathroom wallpaper was peeling (someone tried to unsuccessfully use Scotch Tape to cure the problem). My girlfriend and I had a phenomenal time over the past weekend. Everything is older, but very well kept. I don't remember finding a nicer staff anywhere else. Walking distance to the riverwalk and essentially anything else you'd need. We will be back!

Weak Internet signal in room, tv remote didn't work, wallpaper peeling, obnoxious service, no breakfast in restaurant = mediocre. Should not be advertised as a 4-star hotel.

The rooms, though not large, are very clean and charmingly decorated and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Fairmont was very charming, but needs to be updated. The lobby looked nice, but the rooms lacked that upkeep. The staff lacked customer service luster....no one seemed to be happy to be there. Even the resident dog seemed down and out (although he has an excuse--he's 14!)

Nice place, interesting rooms - basically a suite for the price of a regular room - separate sitting room with a 2nd big flat screen, sofa, chair; also has great non-private balconies, and a great restaurant

Nice, charming, small hotel in historic downtown San Antonio. The hotel has a mascot dog - a giant yellow lab that lays on a bed in the lobby. If you are alergic be warned, but he seems super sweet and is a "rescue" dog (adopted from a shelter so he wouldn't be put down). Lovely hotel if you like historic properties. Staff was very nice and let us check in early. The rooms were beautifully decorated with comfortable beds but the carpet was very stained and the bathroom baseboards were dirty. Not up to the standards of the other Fairmont Hotels, but still nice. Old building that is renovated. Rooms are nice, but need some maintenance (our drape fell off the door). Free wifi is nice, and the front desk staff are pleasant. Surrounding location is great.

Ourstay at the Fairmount hotel was delightful. Our room was large and beautifully decorated. There was some maintainence that was to be addressed but the stafff was very acccomodating. We will be back!!

What a cool place! Lots of history, a great location, very affordable, and superb service from the hotel staff (although the bartender in the restaurant was a different story). Highly recommended!

Amazed by the persona of this hotel! The staff was friendly and more than accommodating. They were there for our every need! Luke the dog was sweet and definitely made us smile!!! The Fairmount is the only hotel that I will stay in for future trips to this great city!

My husband and I just returned from a weekend getaway at The Fairmount in San Antonio. We had the most wonderful experience - we drove up to the beautiful hotel and hoped it would be as wonderful on the inside as it was on the outside but it exceeded all of our expectations - the room was lovely, the service was exceptional and we also fell in love […] with the hotel's story as well as it's canine-atarian (yes, we made up this word) efforts - especially with their director of pet relations, Luke. Everything overall was fine. Our only complaint was the condition of our particular room. Not sure about the other rooms, but ours needed some work. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and quite possibly will never stay anywhere else when we visit San Antonio. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. The rooms are small but quaint and homey. The location of the hotel is within distance of the River Walk and convient to I35.

We enjoyed our stay and the room was fine with the exception of the carpet. It was old and stained. We just expected more at that price. Thanks.

The staff is awesome, there's cozy places to hang out with our friends, I love to play their baby grand piano, and we spend lots of quality time scratching Luke the Dog's ears!! This Hotel was so convenient and affordable. Riverwalk and all the amenities were in walking distance couldn't have picked a more perfect location. Quiet laidback setting and a pleasure to meet Luke Tip. Very happy guest!

Nice facility room was big staff was friendly, the room was not completely clean when we arrived. The hotel staff front desk did bring us the material to make the bed. Location was great 2 blocks from river walk and 4 blocks from the Alamo. I would stay there again when I visit,

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were happy to see our hotel. Its location was wonderful. We had our car parked and did not have to move it once. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted and needed to go. The riverwalk, the mall, the Alamo, Catholic churches, the Tower of the Americas, and wonderful shopping opportunities were all right there.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Fairmount. Had a girl's shopping trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel was wonderful and full of charm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and room had the best air conditioning I have ever had in a hotel stay. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is everything you'd come to expect from Fairmont Hotels. Elegant, clean and quiet. This hotel is refreshing compared with other large, manufactured hotels. The staff is personable and courteous, and the owners have adopted a dog - Luke, I believe. The Fairmont is one block from the Riverwalk so the location is perfect. For the quality of the hotel, the rates are very good. I love the way the rooms are decorated as well as the hallways. It was a nice size Room, Very Close to the Riverwalk, Bathroom was nice, Then only thing wrong was it had a really bad smell, The carpet was not clean. If you love staying in historic properties with some personality to them the Fairmount is still a shining jewel of the South. It has no minibar or other amenities in the rooms. Yes, it's flashy but old and dirty. They only have one maid for the entire hotel. Toilets are not good quality and clog easily. No room temperature control, my room was freezing. None of my toiletries, or coffee was replaced. Bathtub was a mess. Would not recommend it.

I had a very lovely experience at this hotel. My room was clean, I was able to use the wireless internet without issue, and I was even able to walk out onto the verandah and get some nice, night air. the fairmount is lovely... the quaintness, t he intimacy, the little balcony off the sitting room in our bedroom over looking the courtyard is reminiscent of the french quarter in new orleans...one can always stay at hilton or marriott, etc..but one cannot find such a lovely period piece such as the fairmount

The house keeping was not very responsive nor detailed. I stayed for two days and neither of the days was i satified with the cleanliness.
