The hotel is in the midst of rennovations at this time, but what they have done looks great. The rennovations did not interfere with our stay. The front desk was extremely helpful and kind. We would not hesitate to stay there again. I was a little fearful when we first read the reviews, but it seems that there is nothing to worry about any more.

We are locals who had to have our bungalow tented for termites. I work at the criminal complex just down the road, so we chose this site because it was close and they had a small apartment style room. We loved this place for the price. The people were so accomodating to help with our frozen food, even though they could not give us an early check in. […] We have traveled extensively, and this was a hidden jewel witihin our own area! 더 보기

The hotel was nice, but we had booked a room with two queen size beds, and when we arrived we were given a room with one queen size bed. When we asked about it at the front desk, we were told that they only had rooms with one queen size bed. Hotels.com site states a 2BR option. This facility DOES NOT have suites with 2 beds which was a major issue!!! Could not get through to anyone at hotels.com to switch the reservation; on hold after being transferred for almost an hour!

We did not get the room we had booked and paid for. Front Desk Clerk was not helpful at all, and somewhat rude. She seemed to have a negative attitude regarding us booking through Hotel.com. I called Hotel.com regarding this issue, and we did comeup with a resolution to the problem. We spoke to another guest that was there with her son, she too, had […] a problem with not getting the room she reserved. So this was not an isolated incident. The room was clean, however,the hotel in general, was in need of some repairs. Outside door would not open with room key everytime; door handle in corridor was broke and hanging, carpets could use a cleaning. We stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed it. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was extremely clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Although not directly located at a particular destination, it is central to many of the gulf beaches in the area. It took is only 20 minutes to get to a number of beaches. We would definately stay here again. A positive experience overall.

The place looked nice yet it was more of a budeget inn or motel 6. The bed was the worst i have been in. Cable or sat t.v. was not working or they had less then the basic service. It was way over priced for the room. I will not recommend them to anyone at that price.

I booked this room less than a week before the St. Petersburg Grand Prix after having read several positive reviews through Hotels.com. Overall the experience wasn't bad but I can't say I would recommend these accommodations to family or friends. The choice of number of beds was made available through Hotels.com but upon arriving at Candlewood, found […] out that all the rooms at the "extended-stay" facility were only furnished with single queen beds and that no roll-away beds were on the premises. This proved to be inconvenient for me and my friend with whom I planned to share the room (he wound up borrowing a cot from friends he was visiting in town). I also thought the facility was non-smoking but an ash tray was provided in the room, and it wreaked of smoke. All my clothing smelled of it after a three night stay. I shouldn't have been surprised by any of this. The cost of the stay was reasonable and the location while not providing the most secure feeling proved safe enough and was a reasonable distance from downtown St. Pete. In the future I'll do a little more research before making reservations for accommodations. 더 보기

We arrived from out-of-town to attend a wedding in the area. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 2pm but we realized that we were early (check-in was at 3:00). The desk help did nothing in the way to accommodate us when we asked her if she could possibly give us a room that WAS ready. Our room was finally ready at 3:15. The room smelled like smoke. There was a burn hole in the comforter cover. We requested a different room and was told there were no more rooms.

Good place to stay. The building was clean, the customer service was friendly and helpful, and the room was everything we needed. The pool wasn't in front of the building, as most hotels/motels have them - it was more private, on the side of the bldg and had a privacy fence around it. Candlewood Suites is a keeper.

We were just doing a weekend get away and this was a nice way to go...Lots of nice towels!!! Need more counter space in the bathroom. Lots of extras like a toaster and teapot. Nice...

Enjoyed my stay. Lots of restaurants in the area. Close to freeways with access to area's attractions and beaches. The hotel was clean and well maintained.

I was never a customer at candlewood suites, but the experinece was totally AWESOME. I enjoyed the service the amenitied, the room I can't begin to say how pleased I was by the whole place . i would most certainly stay at another one again , But for those reviewing , the toom was great the towels were not cheap little towels the bathroom clean and spacious. […] the fitness center was true health club quality , not a home gym knockoff crap others try to pass off. the movie and music selection was a surprise and the kichenette was a shocker, I just expected a microwave ans mini fridge, I could stay there a month easy.Overall I am 5 out if 5 impressed , happy and look forward to seeing another Candlewood suite again , cheers oops the staff were phenomenal and helpful, even, ran into some repeat customers who swear by the place, I agree ewith their accolades totally 더 보기

Absolutely the worst hotel stay of my professional career. I made reservation online, and it took almost 20 minutes to check in. The person behind the desk never said a word to me. I tried to engage conversation, but nothing. My co-worker had the same problem. Almost 40 minutes for the two of us to check in. the only thing said to us was, we charge […] 25 dollar deposit on top of the bill. The noise was ridiculous. The remotes didn't work in either of our rooms for the tv. My tv had reception that was unwatchable The whole experience was a great learning experience---Never, ever, will I stay at a candlewood again. 더 보기

very clean, updated, the only bad thing I can say is it is not located in a good area (as far as things close by)

The hotel was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The TV was an old tube TV instead of a new flat screen, which was quite disappointing. The real problem, however, was that the inputs on the TV weren't working properly. I had my PS3 hooked up to the TV and could hear the sound from it, but couldn't see the picture. If I changed the channel […] I could see the picture for a split second, but it would then go black again. Overall it was a nice room, but not being able to use my preferred source of entertainment was extremely disappointing. 더 보기

It was great that we had our own little kitchen area with a good size refrigerator but there was no ice anywhere on site. We had to find a gas station to get some! Everything else was great!

Great hotel, loved the Cupboard idea, personally prefer suites over hotels. Loved having our own fridge, microwave and range. Loved the option of being able to borrow free DVD's from the front counter and to be able to pick up your own fresh towels when you want to as opposed to unscheduled visits from housekeeping.

Good value and spacious enough for 3 people. If you are flying out of St. Petersburg definitely worth considering.

We stayed there 3 nights and 2 days. We really enjoyed it! The staff was friendly there wasn't any noise from other guests. The Cupboard was really nice when you wanted a snack or cup of coffee. Spacious rooms with plenty of ammenties. Located close to many attractions in the area. Extended stay hotel with most needed utensils used on a daily basis so you don't have to buy them. Nice and friendly staff.

Love Candlewood Suites!!!!! Had a clean quiet very roomy suite with a full kitchen. Great gym and laundry facilities/convenience store. Close to restaurants/ stores. Next time I travel I will look for Candlewood Suites!!!! The price is SO right and you get real value for your money. The BEST!!!!!!!

the clearwater hotel was a nice place to stay,only thing is they only clean your room once a week,they should supply a broom/dust pan and a mop of some kind so the floors can be cleaned daily.we went out and brough them ourself,so our floors could be kept clean.

Hotel is just the other side of a large storage facility with people using the storage units to either live in or repair their mechanical belongings in. There were only two incidents that actually disturbed us; once when someone was working on some kind of loud motorcycle (8:00a) and again when some drunken group of men went from enjoying rather loud […] country music to arguing about something and ultimately throwing glass of some kind at each other (probably beer bottles - 10:00p). The Hotel was mediocre at best. The cabinets were old and didn't shut all the way, the bathroom's exhaust vent/fan did not function. Some other review stated that they did not supply soap, shampoo and/or conditioner. We had it in our room when we arrived, so I'm not sure what that other user was talking about, seems it was an oversight by the staff. The TV in the room was an old projection model and the picture was terrible. Anyway, it was acceptable for the duration but I wouldn't spend the cash there again - You can get a cleaner more modern room with better appliances and electronics for the same price elsewhere in Pinellas county. 더 보기

The Candlewood Suites, for the price, was excellent. It was not anything exceptional but room was decent. My only complaint was TV screen was fairly small and bathroom was adequate.

Rooms were clean. Free internet. Friendly service.

The Candlewood is a great extended stay facility. They have all the amenities of home and then some. I cant say much about the features etc...because we only stayed 1 night. It was extremely comfortable and very home-like. I would definitly choose them again. They have a kitchen in the room unlike most that only have a mini fridge and microwave...if […] your lucky. The beds are great the bathrooms are full size they have free dvds at the counter a pantry where you can buy all the necesities washer and dryer and a gym. Great place especially for the price. 더 보기

Room smelled bad. I chose the hotel because it was pet friendly, but they had carpets everywhere with stains and bad smells. Nice staff. Loved the kitchenette, and it was quiet. They charge an extra fee for pets, but they need to either upgrade the pet friendly room to NOT have carpet or to do a complete cleaning of the room in between pet guests. They […] also don't have daily room maid service, which was not a problem for us, since we had a short stay, but may be an inconvenience for others staying longer. I stayed a total of 4 nights and thought that the hotel was an excellent value. The room is comfortable and clean and has a fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Other conveniences include free washers and dryers and a small "store" in the hotel where you can purchase milk, frozen dinners, ice cream and other assorted things at reasonable prices. The room we requested was non-smoking, though it smelled as though it had been used as a smoking room before. Otherwise, the accomodations were nice- fridge, stove, toaster.
