The room was comfortable and clean. The pool and spa were both filthy and stunk of clorine. This is a non smoking Hotel which is nice, however, the guests are allowed to smoke right outside the exit doors and you must walk through their smoke. We were in the old section that definitely needed a remodel. One half of our wing was under remodel so by summer it should be better. We were to have a mini-fridge and a microwave. One room had neither and one had only a fridge. Employees were nice and had a better than average breakfast.

I have stayed there seveal times, and seems like this was the most disappointing this time, they had a water brake, so many rooms were not used. Disappointed in the wireless, as I couldn't get mine to work, and they were no help. The continental breakfast was so so, the same old thing, and their rates went up.

On first impression room was clean except when you looked in the bathtub, dirty ring around tub thankfully took showers on bathmat. Soundproofing is not the best so can hear neighbors Breakfast was very good probably one of the best in any place we stayed.

I stayed here because it was close to where my half marathon bus was leaving and to use the hot tub after. the Front desk was nice and let me have a later check out so I could soak for a bit after, but the hot tub felt like a cool bath, not hot at all! Great central location for Stugis Ralley. Spearfish Canyon is right around the corner, right off the freeway to any where. Nice to have a stay-open-late convenience store, kmart, walmart for anything you need, and restaurants on other side of exit. Not the most glamorous hotel and and bedding and mattresses were fair but for WHY we were there, to ride […] and play, it served a purpose for sleep and shower. We had space to put a roll-a-way bed in the room. No cover for the bikes but felt they were secure. free wi-fi and breakfast was a perk. 더 보기

New owners had the hotel less then 2 months. During our stay they were upgrading some of the rooms, ours was done. It is a nice hotel now, when the changes are made it will be much better. Great location. We would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

This was a very friendly and guest assomidating hotel. It ws in a very convienent location. The rooms had plenty of space and the bathrooms were very clean. The AC worked great and was a God Send due to the 103 degree weekend that we spent there in the Black Hills of SD. I don't think any one would leave here dissapointed!

This motel has recently changed hands. I stay here every time I travel to this area. This time, I believe because of new management they opted to stick it tom me. Other motels in the same area were 30% less in fees. I now am a CLC member. Probably won't be staying with you any longer.

There were no current reviews of this hotel when we booked it. It has changed ownership and we were pleasantly surprised by the changes being made. It was clean; the staff very friendly; and all in all it was a nice place to stay.

Was there to help with new church plant. My concern was not so much location as how clean it was. Very happy with how clean the room was and how they kept it clean every day. After a weeks stay it was as clean as the day we arrived.

nice and as clean as it could be. Needs updating badly, really 80's decor. friendly staff located close to some restaurants and Wal-mart.

We stayed there on the way and on the way home. They made us feel like family stopping by

The distance to our point of interest was stated as within 10 miles, in all actuality, it was a little over 20 miles, taking the shortest highway route. Other than that, good place to stay for a reasonable price.

The personnel were very helpful when we arrived. They went out of their to be of service to us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was adequate. We would stay at this motel again if in the area.

WE WILL BE BACK!!!

It wasn't bright a cheery. Just didn't get a good vibe from the place or the neighborhood.

This is far from a 2 star by my standards much more like 4 stars...the hotel rooms are large and and plush..great bed the comfyist i have ever slept in which in a hotel is the top requirement..it was imaculate,clean and nothing was a problem..breakfast was better than expected and the staff as pleasant and helpful as i have experienced,and had a great […] pool. As is usually the case it is a little bit out of town and i had no car but normally that would not be an issue..close by are places to eat and a 24 hour supermarket and garage..highly recommended! 더 보기

The Howard Johnson was kinda lame. The breakfast in the morning consisted of cereal, watermelon, hard boiled eggs, and some waffels. The beds were VERY uncomfortable. The room was clean but you can tell they haven't updated anything since the 80's. The pool area is in a central location in the hotel; it sits in between the lobby, the restaurant, and the hallway to the rooms. We had to go through the pool area to get to our room, which was on the first floor, only 3 doors away from the pool. If you're don't have kids or not going to be using the pool yourself, I suggest you ask for a room at the […] other end of the hotel to avoid the noise and chlorine smell. Otherwise, the room was clean, and big enough to accomodate a third person on an air mattress. There weren't enough outlets to charge all of our cell phones, cameras, laptops, though, and our room didn't have a fridge. 더 보기

Hotel was nice and very convenient for our stay. We were in the area to enjoy the Deadwood area but all the hotels were booked in Deadwood. This is only a 5-10 min drive. The only thing was the breakfast was really slim pickings so we had to go over to Perkins down the road. Hotel.com is great though!!! This would have been a good room a Motel 6. At a Howard Johnson--and at Howard Johnson rates--however, I was a bit surprised. The carpet in our room was icky and had holes in it. The overall cleanliness of the hotel seemed a little lax. There were small issues like a Kleenex holder that kept falling out of the wall or lack of bath soap. The desk help was nice and knowledgeable. The hot tub needed cleaning. Close to Walmart, right across the interstate. First exit from the east. Pizza Ranch is attached, the prices were high for not so good pizza. Towels for wiping bikes provided.

The hotel management was extremely friendly and bent over backwards to work out any difficulties we encountered. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone else with a family needing a base from which to explore the Black Hills.

Check in was friendly and fast. It was clean, comfortable and kept up-to-date. Continental breakfast was a typical,expected continental breakfast, although the coffee was bitter with no flavor - bought coffee from a gas station as we headed out of town.

The hotel manager was friendly and very knowledgeable about the local sites of interest and informed us about some beautiful routes which we would have not otherwise experienced.

Since the price was at the lower end of the scale, my wife and I were only expecting the comfort level of this hotel to be such that it would be a place to sleep at night and nothing more. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel room was very clean, the staff was very attentive to our needs, other hotel guests were very nice, the hotel […] had a great location to access the area sites (it was very close to Deadwood and to Spearfish Canyon), and that our room had full cable tv and a couch. Our A/C had a digital thermostat. The shower was a bit loud and, as we were close to the pool area, the room had a light chlorine odor to it. But, these are minor complaints. Febreeze would take care of the odor. Definitely, we had a good stay and we would recommend it (and we are rather picky about where we stay, ie. Fairmont Princess, Phoenician, Hilton, etc.). 더 보기
