호텔 캘리포니아 (The Hotel California) - 산타모니카

The pictures online are nothing how hotel feels or looks in person. This is a motel and nothing more. Room was dusty and blinds broken. Shower was not large enough to even turn around in. Sounds all night of cars and then sweeping in morning. No real parking. Had to park at next door hotel Loews and pay $36. You should stay at Loews! Much nicer!!!

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. There was no toilet paper in the room and I had to go to the front desk to get it in the middle of the night. My room was NEVER cleaned the whole time I was there - DISGUSTING. There was a gap between the door and the floor and spiders were crawling into my room. I had to put a towel down to […] prevent them from crawling into my room. The staff was rude and hard to get a hold of. A manager is never present. Apparently they lock a gate to room after a certain hour, yet never told me the passcode and I was locked out of my room - no one was at the front desk and the door to the lobby was locked! smells like they are trying to cover up a crime scene with gallons of ammonia. The bathroom is in poor shape with suspicious holes all over the place for critters to crawl in and out of. The parking situation is a nightmare and you have to pay $25 per car to park in their crapy lot or find parking on the street. Thefront deskhelper went above and beyond to give some friends parking at the facility. Nice folks and will stay again. Clean with great location

Fun place to stay, but be prepared to pay out the nose for parking. Plus, the hotel only has 11 parking spots for dozens of rooms at an additional 25 a night to park. Once the 11 spots are gone your stuck fighting for metered street parking...

For such a small hotel, t was dissapointed that it took the more than one and a half hours past the normal checck-in time to have the room ready. The "junior suite" we rented was no bigger than a typical motel room, and although it had two queen beds it was very cramped in the room with only room enough for 1 chair, and even though it appeared to have […] been repainted sometime recently it doesn't look like the place has had a complete remodel (ever). For example, out of all of the electrical outlets in the room, only a few of them have been upgraded from the "2-prong" style that have not been used for more than 25 years, and the 2-prong style that remained have been painted over (into the plug holes). The houskeeping staff also seemed to have an inability to count as I had to go to the front desk (daily) and ask for towels and/or washcloths (4 people cannot make do with 3 towels & 1 washcloth. Once it was 2-T's & 2-WC's) The "available" parking was not what we were told either. There was not enough spaces for the amount of rooms they have, and had to (on several occasions) ask the manager to have EMPLYOEES cars moved from behind mine so we could get out of our "assigned" (@ $25/day) space. I also witnessed other guests checking in being told to park their cars either on the street or in a parking garage a couple of blocks away. To put it bluntly, this place is "ALL SHOW AND NO GO!". The rooms are tiny and more like a european hotel but it was clean and really cute. You can't beat the location!

So homey close to the beach, swimming, 3rd st shopping! lovely truely a great experiance!

The surrounding area was great. The hotel was in deplorable condition. If you like authentic and by this I mean original condition from early 60's then you may have found your place other stay anywhere else at all cost.

Fint hotell med ok frukost. Dock väldigt dyr hotellparkering. Vi parekrade i ett p-hus vid köpcentrat i närheten, men det kostade en del det med. Billigaste parkeringen var på gatan, dock inget man kan räkna med att finna. Hotellet var mysigt med fina rum, härlig jacuzzi på rummet och mysig terrass.

bilderna stämmer inte ōverens med verkligheten. inget hotell jag skulle rekommendera. kändes ofräscht. ok låg nära havet och nära centrum. Beror på vad man föredrar.

Hotellet ligger 200m fra stranden og Santa Monica Pier. Betejeningen var svært hyggelig og hotellet hadde en meget god atmosfære. Der var noe lytt mellom rommene og kommer du med bil bør du være oppmerksom på at du kan spare på å unngå hotellets egen parkering.

Anrikt och trevligt hotell! Rent och fräscht. Ingen AC på rummet, men det räcker med öppet fönster i juni när vi var där. Lite ljud från vägen på natten, men inte störande. Trevlig personal. Dåligt med parkeringsplatser, men bra P-hus finns nära. Otroligt bra läge bara 5 min från piren i Santa Monica.
