라마다 컨벤션센터 오클레어 (Ramada Conv Center Eau Claire) - 오클레어

The last time I stayed at the Ramada Convention Center Eau Claire was about 30 years ago when it was called the Civic Center Inn. I think they still have the same furniture in the rooms from 30 years ago. Even the TVs appear to be at least 20 years old. The service was very good and the on-site bar was quite nice.

One of the dirtiest bathtubs I have ever showered in. The whole place in general smells and seems dirty. Needs updates.

...but that's not saying much. The facility is nice enough and clean, but no one will mistake it for an elegant upscale property. Everything seems a bit tired but the price is right and if you have to be in downtown Eau Claire, it's the best bet. Th desk person told us we could not have our 3 rooms on the same floor because of housekeeping problems so we were given rooms on floors 3, 4, and 5. However when we could not stay in our room on the 4th floor - because it had not been cleaned - we suddenly could get one on the 3rd floor. We all asked for king beds but all got 2 double beds instead. […] We found bobby pins, a bottle cap, and a price tag on the floor of our room - the second one we were given. We checked in on Sun. about 2:30 - the sign on the check-in desk in the lobby offered $2 beers during the Packer game but the bar was closed. We had to take the cover off the a.c. unit because we were too warm and could not find any otner way to control the temp. There was no thermostat on the wall - it looked like it had been removed. All in all we were very unhappy with the hotel and would certainly never go back there or recommend it to anyone else. The general condition of the rooms in the hotel was very outdated and generally poor - for example, may cracked ceiling tiles, a hole around the fire alarm in our room, very worn and stained bathtub surface. 더 보기

The first room was someone elses in which they issued me a key to get into another persons room, the second room was in declining state of repair and the het/air unit did not work, the third room had mismatched bedding, no kleenex, and hair in the bath tub.

Even as Ramadas go, this property has seen better days. Slow drain in the bathtub, undermaintained public areas, tired paint and carpet. The only thing this hotel has going for it is, it's better than any other hotel in Downtown Eau Claire. Well, that and it was cheap.

The hotel is located downtown and the parking is by floor, but is not free unless you go to the front desk so upon leaving everyday you need to get a validation of your parking. This is inconvienient and is easy to forget until you are at the gate paying 1.50 for a near empty garage. In a day of free breakfasts, your breakfast is a coupon for 3 bucks […] off the breakfast bar and its nothing special. This hotel acts like a big city conference center and is not competitive to the realities of business travel these days. 더 보기

Lobby and restaurant were in good shape. Rest of Hotel did not meet 3 star rating. Room was small, TV ancient and buzzed, HVAC was poor, blanket was old and had cigarette burns, bathroom was terrible, furnishings were dated and worn, etc. Coupon for small breakfast but after that, you paid. Rooms were very outdated. Shower was dirty. Pool area was one of the worst I've ever seen. Mold on the window areas, BandAids on the pool deck. Hosts in the hotel restaurant were very rude. Asked us multiple times if we brought in our own drinks, since they were in plastic cups, yet that's what the bartender gave us. Not worth the money at all to stay […] there. 더 보기

The hotel's lobby was decent so was their bar area. The pool though was a whole other story! The ceiling was falling apart, the deck of the pool was very dirty and looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in ages. There was mold/mildew on the window panes. The workout room wasn't one at all - it had plastic chairs and tables in it, arcade games that didn't […] work, 1 treadmill and a broken scale. The wait staff at the hotel restaurant was VERY rude. They questioned our group multiple times on where we purchased our beverages at even though we got them right there at their OWN BAR. One waiter went as far as to snap at me and say "enjoy the drinks YOU brought." I complained to the hotel staff regarding the way we were treated and I refused to spend any more money at their bar. The hotel rooms still have full-size beds. My husband is 6'5" and did not come close to fitting on the bed with me comfortably. The safe was propped up on a garbage can in the closet and it cost $1 to use it. Overall a big disappointment! 더 보기

Upon my check in I was assigned a room that was already occupied, after I was already situated on the 7th floor parking, so I carried all my luggage to the lobby to explain to the clerk what had happened and was then going to be put on the 2nd floor but I resisted so was then accomodated with a king room on the 7th floor to compensate for the mix up. […] This was satisfactory. After entering the room I discovered the pot for the coffee maker was missing. I called the front desk and very quickly someone brought a different coffee maker. Again, satisfactory. I tried making a local outside call and the phone in the room wasn't allowing me to call outside the hotel. I used my cell phone. Unsatisfactory. When I was turning in for the night, I discovered a hair on the pillowcase and took the pillow off the bed, however, this made me wonder how clean the rest of the linen was so I slept atop the bed. Very unsatisfactory. When I woke in the morning and attempted to make coffee, thankfully I looked into the resevoir of the coffee maker and must to my disgust, found something that I'm not even sure what it was. I washed the whole thing out in the tub and took a picture of what remained in the tub stall. I called the front desk and a gentleman showed up promtly with a different coffee maker. I showed him what was left in the shower stall and he was very appologetic. Very very unsatisfactory. I had an important meeting that morning, and my whole objective to staying in the hotel was that I would be rested and alert for my meeting, but after spending the night there, it was anything but. 더 보기

The hotel was in a perfect location for what I needed. The room was old, outdated and dirty but certainly served the purpose of a good nights sleep. Complaints: Cleaning staff was loud and used profanity as they went down the hall stopping to clean various rooms. Garage elevators were filthy. Stayed here before and the same ketchup gunk was still smeared […] on the walls. Needed four keys to finally get one to open my door. 더 보기

In general a nice place to stay convenient for anything happeinging downtown Eau Claire. It is an older facility showing some signs of wear.

It was an alright stay. I have stayed here once before, several months before. I just felt kind of "ich" I mean. It wasn't a bad stay, conveinient location, price was alright. I was dissatisfied with the pool though. We went in it, and I'm not sure what was wrong with it, but it was shut down the next morning. There was like what looked to be rust spots […] in the water? The Ramada is listed as a 3 star hotel, and the hotel has a nice location downtown, nice clean restaurnant/lounge, and common area bathrooms. Beyond that, the elevators, hall ways, guest room, & bathroom were all very dirty, outdated, and definatly not up to 3 star catagory. I was disappointend in the lack of renovations, or just general attention / […] cleaning the hotel elevators, hall ways, & rooms received. I will not recomend this hotel. All this being said, none of this is surprising for a "Ramada" brand hotel, however i was duped due to the 3 star rating. 더 보기

This Ramada has a nice lobby with two restaurants on site. I ate at Porters, and the food was very good, the portions generous, and the prices low. The hotel staff were all very friendly and competent. My room was very small, but the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of big fluffy pillows. There was only one bed and it was a only a double, […] but since I was the only one staying there and I'm short, that didn't matter much. Although the lobby and public areas seemed to be in good shape, my room could use some renovations. The light fixture above the sink was cracked in several places, the closet door was broken, and there were some water stains on the bathroom walls. Despite this, the room was very clean. Parking is available in the public ramp next to the hotel. During hours when there is a charge for the ramp, the hotel will validate your parking. However, this is not clearly marked and I struggled to find a parking place on the street so I could check in as there was no sign saying where hotel guests should park. 더 보기

The first room that I was checked into was already occupied. When I entered the room the lights were on, the bed was a mess, items throughout the room (i.e. boxes, juice bottle, toothpaste...) I am glad that the people were not actually in the room at the time that I entered as I am sure it would have startled both of us. I went back to the front desk […] and explained that the room was occupied. The front desk upgraded my room for the trouble; however, the next room was disgustingly dirty. Items included dirty washcloth hanging over shower rod, toilet was not clean, carpet was not vacuumed, and the couch and loveseat had cookies, cigarettes, loose change, and lots of dirt. When I brought it to the front desks attention they stated that they could put me in another room because a lot of people had not checked in yet. After that the front desk attendant realized that their system had not been updated and that the rooms were actually occupied. He then said that there wasn't anything they could do because there wasn't anyone from the cleaning crew there that late at night and it would have to wait until morning. I stayed at Ramada for business meeting. Our Room was well prepared but bath tub was not clean and there were two small towels but no bath towels. Hotel mangement needs to improve their room service.

I have traveled around the world and stayed at hundreds of hotels but this was by far the worst hotel I have ever found myself in. To start the ceiling tiles in the hall were stained and falling down. When we got to the room the room was at least 90 degrees. I turned the air conditioning on to find warm air coming out. I called the front desk and was […] told to put it on auto which there was no setting. After I told the front desk they sent maintenance to our room and he turned the fan up and told me it was blowing cool air. I put my hand over the unit and it was still blowing warm air and the room was getting stuffier. I then went down to the front desk where there was a customer having his room changed for the same reason (no cooling). I again explained that there was not any air conditioning. When we returned to our room the maintenance man was just leaving and told us he put a fan in the room. I told him again it was blowing warm air and he insisted it was blowing cool air. The room never cooled down the entire night and we didn’t sleep well all night because it was so hot and stuffy. When we left the room the next morning it was 44 degrees outside and 85 in our room and getting hotter. This hotel is in extremely poor condition and should be closed. 더 보기

Over all, I was quite pleased with the stay. As an older hotel, It’s maintained quite well. Location was excellent for us, as it is in the heart of the city. The price was great!

Well I came on here and looked at the bad reviews and booked the hotel anyway. That will be the last time i ignore these reviews. Just about all of them were right. The hotel is in desperate need of an update, the location is not very close to where the main areas of Eau Claire are, and the restaurant and staff are average to subpar.

This stay left much to be desired. From the moment you locate the hotel in your GPS until you find the main entrance it's a challenge. Looks like they built a parking ramp right on top of the entrance. Common areas did not have functioning A/C and the musty smell was everywhere. Rooms were fairly clean but the staff did not wear an uniform, so you did […] know who was cleaning your room! Breakfast service was awful and took to long just to get someone to come take the order. Watch for the entrance doors to the lobby, there is very little room between the first and second set. If you are not careful, you will be hit by one of them! Find somewhere else to stay!! 더 보기

sorry to say a weak ramada

Staff was very nice and helpful, and the rooms were kept clean, but the rooms are due for an overhaul. Location would be perfect if surrounding businesses didn't close at 4:30.

although we made no requests, so could not judge the level of service. Went down for cocktail and bartender was mopping up. She was very pleasant about staying open (they close early if quiet)and was very cheerful. Had a very nice complimentary breakfast. very much worth the money.

Disgusting bathroom. Shower was dirty and drain was clogged. Room had poor temperature control... elevators and hallways were very hot and stuffy as well. Tap water from the sink never got above room temperature. The only nice thing about the hotel was the lobby. Everything else was dirty and/or falling apart. This hotel is seriously overpriced!
