We came to Gurnee to attend a book signing for our cousin which was held at the library in Gurnee. We live in St. Louis and had never been to this location before. We chose Best Western Gurnee because of the reviews we read on the website. We were so very satisfied with the hotel. This hotel is dated and tired. Rooms are worn and out of date, furnishings clean but old style, pool tiny and hot tub broken and empty.

Got a great rate and had stayed here before so knew what to expect. However we were given a room right by ice machine. Pool was cold and hot tub out of order. Only stay here if u get a good rate.

Check in was good, room okay. Pool was cold and the hot tub was not in use. Overall great location.

Everything was great! The rates, location and condition of hotel top notch. I am coming back in a couple of months to see my daughter graduate from Navy Bootcamp and I will be staying with Best Western Gurnee again.

All in all, our stay was on par with other hotels we've stayed at in the region. However, beware of the shower in room 309. During our stay the hot water could not be maintained. Slow to warm up and just when you think its OK it goes COLD. After a minute or so it start to warm up again then go cold once more. This was annoying to say the least. The staff at the Best Western in Gurnee are so caring and accommodating. All of our needs and wants were met in such a friendly manner. They really went above and beyond our expectations. The rooms are very clean and up to date. Even the cleaning staff is friendly!! And they do a great job. The location is great, close to shopping and entertainment […] and the highway. This was the best hotel stay experience we have had. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!! good room for the money. The only complaint is the electronic door keys fail after 2 days and have to be reprogrammed. And no, I did not keep them next to my cell phone of other electronic devices.

Rooms look good, well kept, clean, quiet, convenient, and close to I 94.

Nice hotel staff was friendly enough, some rooms are much nicer than others. Don't be fooled by the outside it's actually very nice inside. I would recommend staying here.

Our stay was great. The people were nice, the breakfast was good and you can easily walk to Six Flags. Also, lots of food choices within walking distance of the hotel.

hotel stunk of very strong cleaners. The bathroom plug for the tub was broken and laying in the tube. they had lost my hotels.com reservation, if I had not braught my conformation I would have had to pay twice. breakfest was fine, the hotel staff were nice, not very good at their jobs, but nice.

Hotel was a great place for the price -staff very welcoming and hotel room good size/clean and great location for restaurants/entertainment.

Not worth it for the money!

I was very satisfied with this place and it was very clean. If you are planning on going to 6 flags i would recommend this hotel because it is within walking distance which is a huge plus if you don't want to pay for parking. Also Gurnee Mills mall is a 5 minute drive away and has a lot of different restaurants next to it.

clean, quiet, and located by all of gurnee and surrounding area attractions. can't beat the price! definitely would recommend!

Location is walking distance from park, rooms are updated and clean. Maid service forgot to leave shapoo, and wash cloths 3 of the 4 nights.

We went to a close by restaurant. Was told when we got there because we were staying at the best western we got 20% off of are bill. This was never mentioned to us at the hotel. Also when we got into are room. Someone had used the restroom after the room was supposedly already cleaned and didn't flush what they left

Friendly expedient staff. Free breakfast included bacon, eggs, waffles, cereal, bagels. Surrounded by restaurants. We try to have breakfast and dinner outside of Great America. Grt Amrca only serves junk food. Room was clean, but a little damp. Nice place for the price. Also, close to Gurnee Mills and Key Lime Cove. Other than not getting our king size bed that we were told we were getting, everything was great ! Breakfast was very enjoyable. Our room was clean. Would definitely stay again.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at the air conditioning did not work and it was 90 and humid and we had been out all day and looking forward to a little A/C and it barely worked. I was supposed to get a king size bed with a sofa sleeper and all there was a king size bed. In the morning the cofee grounds were in the coffee pot for who knows […] how long gross!!!The beds you were sleeping on were bad and it was like sleeping on springs terrible!!! 더 보기

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The property was very, very clean. Everything felt very fresh and was being properly maintained. The staff at the front desk was very kind to us. They knew the neighborhood well and recommended a really delicious restaurant. The next day, they called a taxi for us--it showed up right on time. For the price, it's a good hotel. Nothing fancy, but a great place to stay.

The hotel was close to my son's Navy Graduation, the mall, restaurants, etc. The staff were very helpful, friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great! I do have a few complaints, I was charged a $50 room inspection fee on the day I checked out, they say I will get the money back in 4-6 business days but I was NEVER told about this fee and very […] upset when I came home and saw the charge. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and have never been charged an inspection fee. The room was pretty clean except for a hair on one of the towels and dental floss between the wall and nightstand. I had a room with a king size bed which was very comfortable and supposed to be a king size hide-a-bed which was maybe a full size which was not comfortable with two people, one person wasn't too bad. 더 보기

Hotel was clean and the desk service was friendly and efficient. However, the light switch for the bathroom was outside the bathroom and around the corner--very inconvenient. the hotel was good overall, friendly front desk staff close to Gurnee Mills mall aand Six flag's great america. Basically the hotel is tucked in a parking lot by other hotels and food places, wich is nice for feeding time. The area was quiet altho it was the off season...

My sister had just graduated from Navy boot camp. We stay here 2 different weekends in one month, for a total of 6 days. We definitely recommend a stay here for anyone else. If you are going to Six Flags Great America, this is the hotel to stay at. The room was perfect, the continental breakfast good, and location great. The pool is a bit small, but there is also a hot tub, fitness room, and business center. I will return to stay.

This is not the most fancy and smashing Best Western hotel on the planet but it serves in general its purposes. The breakfast is somewhat Motel-style but compared to other more prestigious Best Westerns it is for free.
