Was very close to Navy Base, Restaurants, bank and shopping. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights. Only negative is that carpet needed to be cleaned and would like to have been able to check in sooner than 3pm. Great water pressure in shower. I understand you get what you pay for. But some thing like clean room is expected. there were five stains on the floor all different colors. Didnt dare walk around bare footed. was ness to swipe the key six times to get door unlocked. unable to check out early due to no one in office. booked a smoking room and got a nonsmoking room. was unable to change. […] stayed in a different hotel same price the next night and that was impeccible.. 더 보기

This place is exactly what it sounds like, studio-rooms in a business district. I certainly wasn't displeased with anything, however, they charge extra if you want faster internet speeds (though it is not a lot). I'd recommend this place to people who were in the exact same position I was, staying there temporarily until I could find an apartment. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, microwave and refrigerator. Few extra amenities, but everything I needed at a very nice price for that area. I intend to stay there again when I return to the Chicago area.

The toilet was clogged when we arrived, we plunged it ourselves. The shampoo in the bathroom was empty, we needed to go to the front desk to get another bottle. The hotel staff failed to make our 6:30 AM wake up call. The room smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. Needed a place to stay while my condo is being renovated. It is nice and has everything I need. It is a bit small from what I am used to but it certainly does the job. Weekly and monthly rates are really affordable. The staff members are all very friendly and helpful.

This place is for someone on a budget. It's an old place and its age shows. The mattress was very hard, I wouldn't recommend a long stay. The kitchenette had no forks, but I'm sure the friendly people at the desk would have given me some if I had needed them.

I didnt like my stay here. I rented two rooms and they put half my family on one floor and the other half 2 floors upstairs and around the cornor

The Hotel Administrators were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean but it had like a bad odor of smoking, although we booked a non-smoking room. Overall, we pay what we got and I will recommended for others if you want a cheap hotel.

WE WERE HERE FOR MY SON'S BOOTCAMP GRADUATION AND WERE QUITE PLEASED. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THERE WASN'T ICE AVAILABLE.

The hottel was in a location that ;wpould be goood for short stay and need a quite place to stay and simply to rest need to inprove it cleness of the place .too much dirt in the cordore.

Our stay was from Aug 11 - Aug 13, 2011. The hotel personnel are wonderful people. Helpful and willing to accommodate! They chartered a limousine for the trip to RTC Graduation. Air Conditioning didn't work well but other than that we are very satisfied with our stay.

The lady at the front desk, could not have any nicer, however, the "motel" was not as described by hotels.com. Very dirty, not to mention the condom that was found in my room!

The hotel disgusting... Dirty sheets.. Toliet was felty.. Frig did not work well.. There was no ice machine.. I can go on for days.. Never again will I stay

We stayed at this hotel for a Naval Graduation. It is very close to the base and to shopping center. The front desk help was very kind and willing to help out with anything. We had a great time!! Only downfall was the bed, but who expects a comfortable bed when staying in a hotel!!! Thanks for being great!!!

We were attending my son's graduation from bootcamp and chose this hotel basically because of its location to the NAVAL Base. The staff was very nice and resouceful by providing directions to the Base, they gave us print outs of local ammennities as well as the directions to them. They also provided us with great directions to the Base that only took […] about 5 minutes! The only thing was figuring out how to get back to the hotel from the base (you have to turn left at the first light on 41 coming back). The room itself was o-k. That's about all I can sum it up as. For the rate we got it at, you can't expect much more. It was rather clean and didn't reak of smoke. I'm a germ freak so of course I had my own bedding and disinfectant. We had a little plumbing issue with the shower but was able to live with it the two nights we stayed. If you're staying longer and traveling on a tight budget, the rooms do come with a small kitchenette that would be good for a family with small children. Restaurants are few in the area. I would suggest you make your way towards I94 and Grand Ave where there are more shops and economical food choices and only about 10-15mins from the hotel. If I had do it again working with the same budget -which I may because another son is considering joing the NAVY too -I would stay again... I just hope it's summer time when he goes! 더 보기

The staff at this hotel is wonderful and ready to assist. The room though old was clean. The carpets, not so great so bring some slippers. I would definitely stay there again but request a room not facing the busy state road.

Very helpful staff. Made getting to local Navy base for graduation easier with suggestions and optional shuttle.

For the rate, it was pretty good stay. Didn't stay much in the room, so all was well. Everything posted on their website is also posted in your room and at front desk. Friendly and helpful staff.

After we checked in, we went to the room to find the room like it should be, but found the sheets were not changed from the last person, there were still vomit stains and smells on the comforters. There wasn't any shampoo in the room and we had to go back to the lobby to get some. The lobby was under lock and key 24 hrs a day. If I needed something, […] I needed to knock on the door to get the front desk person to unlock the door. The refridgerator had moldy food inside it that was dated at least 3 weeks before our stay. The rest of the kitchen was dirty and the pots and pans for the stove top were dirty and still had food particles inside. Many times I would see what appeared to be prostitution activity with local people. Telling the front desk clerk the stay will only be for a few hours and if they could be charged an hourly rate instead of a nightly rate. The desk clerk did say it would be a nightly rate, but that is not the point. The hotel is located in an industrial area and shares the parking lot with large semi trucks and a nut and bolt company. Overall, if I was to recommend a place to stay, this would be one on the bottom of the list. The location and the price was the reason I requested this hotel, but next time a 3 star or 4 star hotel will be my choice. 더 보기

Stated room had cooking utensils. This was 2 plates and cups and 1 sauce pan. No can opener. Next time would no to take everything we need. Otherwise room was great.

The room contained everything a family needs. The staff was friendly and informative. the area was close to everything we needed or wanted.

This is about one of the cheapest hotels that I have ever stayed at and it showed. The Clerk at the front desk was wonderful, however when we open the door a funk was released. Thank goodness for Febreeze. If hard pressed, this room satisfies a room to sleep in, nothing more. It did what we expected and that was about it.

Upon arrival the hotel office was small and crouded with other guests trying to check in. After a waiting for other ahead to check in, I recieved my room key to head up to my room. Upon entering the room I noticed a bad odor of animal urin or something similar. I notified the office and they coordinated a second room for my stay. I proceeded to carry […] my bags to the next room only to find out that housekeeping was not to this room yet with trash and dishes not put away or the bed made. After again notifying the check in clerk, she personally checked out the third room for me before I went anywhere else. The Crossland 'Chicago-Waukegan' offered a great price on short notice. I was able to book my room at hotels.com and check in an hour later. The staff was very curtious upon check-in, woke up early on Thanksgiving Day to let me check-out, and responded to my follow-up call in a professional and polite manner. The hotel room was lacking though. The […] A/C unit leaked on the floor. The carpet was very old. The shower head leaked, sending a spray of water across the bathroom, through the kitchenette, all the way to the bedroom door. The bed was uncomfortable and felt 20 years old. The linens were alright, but the comforter was thin and appeared old. Finally, the coffee pot was very small and made only two cups of coffee. Next time I visit Waukegan, I will stay in a different hotel, or sleep in my car. 더 보기

Good service. Convenient. Large room. Not special, but adequate in every way.

We drove about 13 hours to attend our grandson's graduation from Navy boot camp. The first thing we had to do when we got to the hotel was ask for clean blankets as we immediately discovered pubic hairs on some of the blankets. Of course, they didn't have any clean blankets, just comforters, which we gladly took. The room was pretty small. The bathroom […] had only a small stainless steel shelf for us to put our toiletries on. The noise from the adjacent highway was so loud that it seemed as though we were sleeping on the shoulder. We took the discarded blanket & comforter & put them over the windows & door in an effort to muffle the road noise. The room stunk like an old ash try even though it was supposedly a non-smoking room. We could easily hear other guests conversing in adjacent rooms. It got so bad that, after graduation, we booked the remainder of our stay with the Ramada Inn (Waukegan Gurnee), thus taking a hit on the cost of our stay. The room was ok but smelled very strongly of smoke. Lots of road noise from the interstate. Staff did not give wake up call, stayed at this hotel for early morning charter fishing trip. Cold have been a big deal but we set an alarm just in case.

I went for my boyfriend's graduation from boot camp. The only downfall in my eyes was the bed comfort. I'm visiting him next weekend and I haven't decided whether I'd stay there again for only that reason, but I have a lot of muscle and joint problems. I would've been fine for one or two nights, but that third was rough for me. The employee's were very […] kind. I checked in at 2am and they had no problem with that, and when I decided to stay another night, there was no hesitation. Check out was easy. The only problem I had with check in was finding the office. It's not very obvious. Fine room if you are just in town to visit and aren't going to spend a lot of time in a hotel room. I'm a non-smoker and the room smelled of smoke, that was the major down side.

The room was clean, the hotel hard to find, directions on web site are incomplete. The only Issue I had with the hotel was with security issues. Being a single female, I arrived late around midnight, and had to get up and leave by 5 am. I absolutley did not sleep evne 15 minutes all night. The room above me had people jumping off the bed to the floor […] and running to ???somewhere every 15 minutes. after the first 2 hrs, when it didn't settle down, I tried to call the office (zero) just rang and rang. I walked down the hall to knock and the lights were out no one there. I was about to look for a security guard most hotels have them, but there were other guest drunk and walking around the parking lot and trying to get me to talk to them. If the hotel doesn't change this policy of no one on duty, I will not be back and I am there 5 times per year. I wanted to call police, but the people outside knew my room # and would have harrassed me after the police left. 더 보기

Beds are horrible, had to change rooms 3 times due to not being clean, putting us in handicapped room (not handicapped) & not having covers, bed spread, pillows, towels in room. No chair to relax in only bed to sit on. In an industrial park, surrounded by businesses.
