The hotel staff was friendly and they were very accommodating to Navy graduates and families by having breakfast earlier than normal on graduation day. They also have a computer with printer for boarding passes. You can walk to convenience store for supplies and White Castle burgers are right across the street.

We were there for my sons Navy boot camp graduation. The hotel was only 3 miles from the base which was convenient. We were on the 2nd floor & there was no elevator so we had to lug everything up the stairs. The room smelled strongly of smoke but it was a non-smoking room. It HAD to have been a smoking room at some point but they didn't change out the […] carpet etc.. Our "window" looked out into the hallway!!! Why even have a window there? The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed. There was a big red stain in the already dirty carpet. The mattress had a big stain on it. I couldn't sleep for 2 nights because the smoke smell stirred up my allergies. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but left after 2. Tracy at the front desk was very nice in giving me the phone # to call hotels.com & cancel our 3rd night & get a refund. 더 보기

It was very convient to the Naval recruit center, and to public transportation, the carpet was dirty, and the drain plugs for the sink and tub did not work. Staff was very friendly.

We had booked 2 rooms. One with king size bed the other with 2 doubles. Both were nice and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and when things ran out the staff was quick to refill when I notified them of it. Considering going back to the area again and will stay with them.

I am an infrequent Hotel customer, however, my typical experiences are the Hyatt, Hampton or Marriott. In this case I decided to go with convenience(to the Naval base) instead of quality, and to my surprise the Great Lakes quality Inn's charm, comfort and unexpected savings...., which compared to the others changed my mind completed when determining […] my options for hotel travel.. Accomodations were adequate for the lower-end price. The room had everything I needed and the bedding and bed were very comfortable. My only complaint was that I feel the outer walls were not very insulated since I could hear conversations being held in the hallway.

This motel in Waukegan is about 10-15 minute drive from Great America. The neighborhood (and much of Waukegan, it seems) is sort of seedy but the restaurant next door was fine and there were no problems. Hotel is dated but clean. Many people going to Navy graduation at Great Lakes stayed here. Stayed a few nights and found the room to be relatively clean and the beds comfortable. The shower/tub seemed a bit smaller than at other hotels. No cable, but didn't mind at all.

The hotel is near to several restaurants. The staff are nice, and the place is clean.

The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable. The local restaraunt across the street has good food we had dinner and breakfast there.

I requested a handicapped accessible room and was happy with everything except the available channels on the TV. They were very limited. I was extremely pleased with the walk in shower with built in seat. It was a bit small, but adequate if you moved carefully. The beds in the handicapped room are only full size and was uncomfortable for myself and […] husband. This was discussed with the receptionist and they provided us with a cot. That made the next 2 night's stay much more comfortable. I was happy with the fridge, microwave and coffee pot provided and especially with the hot breakfast that started at 6 in the morning. I was kinda of worried about staying at this hotel cause it had a few bad reviews but they were not true.... It was very clean ,quiet, friendly, and it had a good breakfast. only thing missing was a pool.. but that is okay cause we didnt have time to swim. oh yes and it was very easy getting to SIX FLAGS .

Just a little small for me, was expecting maybe a fridge and microwave in the room. The reception in the Lobby was great. The bathroom door would stick everytime it was used which caused us to have to push very hard on it to get out.

This hotel is old and it shows. It requires a major renovation. One of the two rooms I reserved was missing a shower curtain! I will not stay here again.

The hotel staff was nothing but friendly but the hotel was old & needed lots of updates. This is the only reason I would not recommend the hotel. I would however not recommend booking through hotels.com. I've had 2 big issues usng the website.

I thought the room was perfect if you just wanted somewhere to sleep. I wasn't looking for a place with a pool and alot of fancy things. I guess I found it. The hotel was clean and very well kept.

It was nice, quiet, and had a relaxed atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I had was that the tv did not offer many channels. Otherwise it is a nice place. I will certainly use it again.

Great hotel to go to Gurnee Mills.

...then this QI will be fine for you. If you're looking gor a place to stay that is not older/run-down/a bit dank, keep looking.

I wasn't sure what to expect in Waukegan. It doesn't have the best reputation. I was in town for an event at the Genesee Theatre. I chose the Quality Inn due to the fact that it had been decently rated and was inexpensive. The hotel was decent. Nothing fancy but it was perfectly suitable. Previous reviews of this hotel and ones around the area made my expectations for this place low--merely a place to put my head. But I was pleasantly surprised--the front desk was very helpful, esp when I got lost and tried to find my way. If you've forgotten something, they have it on hand. Not a great view, but who's looking for a view in Waukegan? There's also no elevator, but there are only 2 floors. The hotel was fine. The only thing that I noticed was that the carpet was not very clean. Other than that, I was pleased.

Our overall visit was not too bad. Only 2 things: Air condition would not get cold, and pillows were awful. After the first night they did move us to another room that supposedly had a new air conditioner but it still wasnt cold. It is probably ok for most people but my husband likes it real! cold. The room itself was okay but the hotel overall seemed dirty. Our view was of the rooftops of a storage building. The space between the hotel and the neighbor must have been only a few feet. It must have been even worse for the rooms below us.

Walls seemed very thin, or poor windows. You could hear the street traffic very clearly, and it was difficult to sleep. The bathtub also had soap chips in the drain, so it was not cleaned very well.

Exceeded my expectations for the price. Very clean, staff very nice and friendly. Just 10 min from the base.
