Saw a Roach on the ceiling, cigarette Burns on bed spread. Bed spread had a odor of urine. On slept for 1 hour and had to leave. This was probably the worst room that I have ever slept in.I will stick with best western. .since am a best western rewards

The housekeepers did a thorough job in that the room was very clean. The carpet needed replacing as it was stained and the mattress was old and needed turning around if not replacing. The staff was friendly and helpful, the price was great and so was the surrounding neighborhood as it is in a business park. There was only one luggage cart for the large […] hotel but it was available. My room did retain the odor of a previous meal, so could have used some febreeze. No charge for WIFI and it worked fine. TV only had abt. a dozen channels and way too many (5) ESPN channels for a female guest. A local news-weather channel would have been nice as it was my first time in Memphis. 더 보기

It is very clean but its phone is not working so I cannot ask for a morning wake up call...no shampoo and soap, cloth hanger at all.

The hotel felt unsafe. The neighborhood made us feel very uneasy. The room was dirty with hair and dirt in all corners. The paint was chipping in the bathtub near the drain and the drain did not work very well. The bathtub was slanted and very slick, causing my husband to slip out of the shower and fall on the floor. If you are looking for a discount hotel this may be the place. Rooms are clean. No food within walking distance.

STAYED HERE FOR A WEEK AND ONE DAY. VERY NOISY, STAFF WAS NOT POLITE, AND ROOM WAS NOT UP TO PAR FOR MY STANDARDS AND IM A TRAVELING WORKER FOR DIFFERENT PLANTS SO MOST OF THE TIME I JUST NEED A PLACE TO STAY, BUT THIS ONE WAS JUST NOT GOOD AT ALL. This was the worst hotel I've ever been to. It is located in a secluded area in the heart of the Memphis ghetto. I felt like I was in a crack house with prostitutes. The room was filthy and disgusting. Here's a clue I should have gotten - for the cheap rate, you're not going to get much more than you're paying for.

I arrived at the hotel looks nice from the outside but the room was not to be desired. Also no room service if you stay less then 7 days. You have to bring your dirty towels to the front desk yourself and have them replaced. I did that and was told we are short on clean towels right now and that he was in the middle of washing some and would call me […] when there were towels available. Well I didn't get a call so when I decided to check out at 6am there is no one at the front desk to get towels from and they weren't there til 7am. Fortunately there was a attendant who.was sKiing around the hotel that I ran into who was able to help me. So now I was able to take a shower and leave as planned. On the first night of my stay when I arrived back from a funeral, I was greeted by the entire Memphis police force. They had the hotel surrounded at every entrance looking for a murder suspect. After they searched the car and trunk I was finally able to enter and go to my room. After about and hour or so my mother was in the kitchenette by the door and there was a hard knock. So she opened it and there were 5 Memphis police officers asking her was she she hear alone, and she replied no I'm here with my son. They asked if they could come and asked where I was and charged the room and one of the officers pulled out his gun as he walked towards me. They searched the bathroom, the kitchen cabinets, and they even lifted the beds to see if the person they were looking for was under there. I was so out done and if I.hadn't paid for this through hotels.com I would've left right after that and went to another hotel. From what I was told from.friends and family that live there, this hotel is in a business district if there is no businesses there anymore and its a hotspot for drugs and who knows what else. I hadn't been to Memphis in over 10 yrs and was shocked of all that is going on and this area by the airport. If you want a better night stay go to south haven which is only 10 mins away, i 더 보기

my wife and i went to memphis for a weekend to relax and see graceland,, when we arrived at the hotel , i waited inside at the counter for 30 minutes before anyone showed up to see what i needed,, we got the room and the bed was torn with rags hanging from under it and there was black mold and mildew on the bathroom walls,, we didnt see a maid all weekend […] and the man at the desk said he would bring clean towels to the room and after three deays we left,,, never getting the towels or the room cleaned needless to say we will never recommend this hotel to any of our freinds,, we were very displeased 더 보기

There is no blanket on beds when i get into room. Then i was given another room which the bath tub not able to let water go. I have to manually pull it up to let dirty water go.

The water was barely luke warm and never got hot. The bed was old and rickety. Lastly, the floor and shower did not appear thoroughly cleaned.

Not at all bad for the money. If you want luxury, this isn't it - go elsewhere. If you want somewhere to sleep cheap and don't care about a swimming pool or room service, this is your hotel. The staff was polite, the room was clean, but had a few maintenance items. One thing, there is NOTHING around this hotel. we stay in Memphis, 10/19-10/21,2011. the room meat all our need.If ur useing the airport.great spot, we was in the middle of town, no more than 10miles from downtown,same for shopping.

The hotel had a shuttle from the airport when i arrived to the airport and called the hotel for the shuttle the front desk clerk said they could not find the driver and didnt know how long he would be so i had to take a taxi to hotel which is only 5 min from memphis airport which cost me 15.oo dollars.. that is not good..

My stay was comfortable, enjoyable the only problem I had with my stay is one of the outlets didn't work. I plugged in dinner and went out for a while got hungry and returned to the hotel and the dinner was not done. Other than that mistake i had an enjoyable time.

first off when I arrived the lady at the desk told me that they did not have any more rooms wit queen beds which I ordered We had to take a room with 2 double beds. Then because it was like a suite and had a refig I had to wait 2 hours for ice to freeze because the hotel does not have a ice machine. The only thing that is close to the hogtel is the […] airport. The entire hotel had a bad smell, first room was not cleaned from the night prior. The second room to bathroom tissue and could not get a hold of the front desk. The price was cheep, you get what you pay for here

the outside of the place looked great but once we walked in, the carpet was dirtly, there was a funny smell, our room were missing the telephone, tv remote, soap, and shampoo. the front desk gave me 3 remotes to try and they don't supply either soap or shampoo. you have to buy it from them. regarding the phone I told them I didn't care for it as long […] as they don't charge it which they did not. i won't stay there again. :( 더 보기

if i need clean towels, i would have to take my dirty towels to the front desk and then they would give me some more. I have never heard of that. The matress on the bed was ruff. It was quiet.

This Memphis hotel was located in a bad area and was poorly maintained. The non-smoking rooms smelled like smoke and the rooms were not totally cleaned from the people who stayed before us. There were also earwigs in the bath tub. I strongly encourage everyone to try a different hotel.

Lady at the desk was very nice but everything was pretty rough. Reserved a non smoking, they overbooked and had to give me a smoking room.

i would go back and stay agin for sure. the staff was really great. i would recommend anyone to stay there and the stay would be great. everyone keep up the great job that you are doing.

The Homestead Hotel in Memphis Tn was one of the worse hotels I've ever stayed in, and as a businessman who often travels, I doubt I will ever say in this, or anyother Homestead again. The trash can in the bathroom was full from the previous occupant and the tissue paper roll was empty. The complimentary coffee pot was useless as they did not provide […] coffee cups and after the first morning, no one refilled the filters. On top of all of this I was deeply worried when reading the elevator inspection certificate and realized that the inspection expired in 2005. 더 보기

My stay at the Homestead Studio Hotel was 75% satisfied considering I waited on a iron for almost 5 hours. Overall I enjoyed my stay because its q nice hotel and is very cheap

We were very satisfied with the hotel. It was clean and well kept up. The people were very nice , and it was close to everything we wanted to do. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Very close to the airport and downtown location. And, this was very convient for me. Since my visit was handle in both locations. The only issue I had with this hotel was, the neighbors on the same floor of the hotel was very noisey. Other than that enjoyed my stay.

lovely motel, very clean, comfortable room with kitchen. convenient to Graceland - beal streeet. We had a car so i don't know if there is local transport. great motel great location. ideal place to stay.

My only complaint about the hotel is in regards to the housekeeping staff. The bathroom was a little grungy and we question as to whether or not they changed the sheets on one of our beds as they were wrinkled and we found hair between the top and fitted sheets but for the price, who can complain? Yes, the hotel is a little stingy with the towels as […] others had mentioned but we just brought our own for preventative measures. The front desk staff was very polite and courteous (Tanieka or Taneisha?) which was a surprise based on other reviews. True, the hotel is not in the best part of town but let's not kid ourselves, we're in Memphis... where exactly IS a good part of town? Also, this property is tucked back into a business complex so that may make you feel more/less safe as it is hidden and cannot been seen from the main road. If you go here, make sure to check out the Catfish Cabin right up the street for some local dining... it was the best food we had while we were I town and yes, we had BBQ too. lol 더 보기

The price was very reasonable but the place was dirty. The rooms need to be dusted and vacuumed period. Bathroom floors were sticky and the room smelled.

This was the most dirty hotel I have ever been in. Upon entering our room we noticed that there were huge cocroaches all over the walls and there was a huge open hole in the ceiling. We swapped rooms but it didn't help. The next room on the other side of the facility was just as bad. It also had cocroaches and both of the beds were broken and held up […] with a few pieces of plywood that kept falling down. The shower head didn't work and half of the curtains were missing so not only did light shine in, but people outside could also see you inside. I can't even comment on what else happened there but I'll definately say that children should be nowhere near this place! I was only in town for one night for business, otherwise I would have left as soon as I saw the place. Stay far away from this place! 더 보기

This location was not up to the same standards of others in the city. No breakfast was offer, we had to take out our own trash, and they could not seem to keep up with the demand of towels.

The Homestead Hotel in Memphis is not for everyone, There are three doors to this hotel, Two of them are broken so you can't get in only out. Not to mention the handles are broken off.People live there year around.There was a fight in the hallway around two am, It woke up my wife and doughter, So my daughter stayed up the rest of the night.The one's […] that live there walk around drunk at night.and walk the hallways or stand at the front door. Well, this hotel was close to where I was working so that made it convenient, but when you have to cut a notch out of the door to the bathroom so that it would clear the toilet you know there is going to be an issue. The whole place smelled like an old ash tray even though we had a smoke free room. We chose this hotel because of the Kitchener but one […] of the burners was broken, really destroyed. Not that I was going to cook a meal, but that should be an option. Our TV didn't have a remote and when the front desk gave me a replacement, it didn't even match the TV in our room, so we didn't even turn it on. The barking dog down the hall was a nice touch, and even better when I realized it was a pit bull. Fun for the whole family. We were booked for three nights. We left after the first. 더 보기
