Only worth staying in if you have a pet with you - I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.

This hotel was great if you aren't planning on spending anytime at the hotel other than to catch a couple Z's and take a quick shower. It's in walking distance to EVERYTHING, so that was nice. It's nothing special but got the job done

Great price, great stay! Quiet and nice. Desk clerk gave me a computer lesson and was super helpful! Very happy after a long trip. :)

...especially since the next day, I found bed bug bites in the classic 'breakfast, lunch, dinner' pattern all over my body (unfortunately, I've had experience with bed bug bites in the past). This is an inexpensive hotel and that is what I got. The bare minimum. The staff was not over friendly but was present when appropriate. The room was adequate but not overly nice. I stayed with my two children so there were a few downsides like not being able to plug the bathtub to give them baths. The breakfast was the best part with an ample supply […] of a variety of foods. You can't beat this hotel for location, as it's within walking distance of Athens' trendy bar area. Unfortunately, it's also old and not the cleanest place. Don't get me wrong - it wasn't gross - sheets and towels were fine, bed was okay, but there was the usual amount of dirty finger prints on the doorframe and random hair (that's not mine) in the […] bathroom. The hotel is not the best choice for Athens hotels but it is in an ideal location. The hotel is easily within walking distance to any parts of downtown Athens that you might be interested in.

This Days Inn is in terrible need of renovation and proper cleaning. I previously booked this hotel primarily because almost all hotels in town, especially downtown, were solidly booked for the weekend. A review I read said "no frills, but clean place to stay", so I thought it was worth a try. It was not. The first room we received was a smoking room, […] even though I'd requested a non-smoking room. I realize this was a "request" and not guaranteed, and they did eventually move us to a non-smoking room a bit later, so I appreciated them making the effort. The new room, while non-smoking, still left a lot to be desired. The shower was not clean. The carpet was stained. The boxed spring was encased in a ripped and dirty plastic bag. The mattress itself felt like sleeping on a trampoline. A dirty pair of socks was wedged between the mini-fridge and the wall, and the fridge itself made a constant clicking noise throughout the night. On top of the rather awful accommodations, some other guests at the hotel spent most of the night, from 12am - 4:30am screaming at one another across the courtyard, partying outside their rooms and running up and down the walkway outside the hotel doors. I can't really pin this issue completely on management as I didn't call to complain. I opted to try to block it out and get as much rest as possible (which didn't work) before having to get up early for a local 10k race. I can't imagine that management didn't hear them or receive any calls to complain about the noise. This hotel's rate is extremely cheap, and close to downtown, but with that comes some sacrifices. Anyone looking to save money above ALL else might be ok with this place, but any review saying it is a "clean" place to stay is wholly inaccurate. Our first night's stay was bad enough that we opted to let Days Inn keep our pre-paid money for the second night and booked a room at another hotel 2 miles outside of downtown. Bare minimum room. King bed, table with 2 chairs, fridge. That's it. Bed was REALLY hard, It was a decent place.

No frills. A nice and clean lobby with really nice hi-calorie breakfast choices. Great for the price!

One good thing was the manager, who was friendly and courteous. He changed my room to non-smoking without any hassle. But....the entire hotel needs to be renovated....rotting door, torn wallpaper, outdated tv, which is just in my room. The room was large and impeccably clean with a firm King size bed - a great value for the money. Only problem was that the letters on the TV remote were completely worn off, making it difficult to use the remote. I informed the front desk about this upon departure and they said they would replace the remote.

Best bang for the buck in the Athens (UGA) area. Friendly check in, clean room, very firm bed, nice breakfast in the morning, easy check-out. I would recommend it to others. the only negative was that the room itself was very small which limited movement, especially in the sink/dressing area.

great location, so close to downtown, and decent price.......but ew. just....ew. smelly, grimy, stain-y, and an incompetent staff to greet us? i've think we've learned our lesson with cheap hotels.

For the price we paid for this hotel, the room met our expectations and needs. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The housekeeping was courteous as well as the front desk manager. Given the short distance to downtown, this hotel was a great find.

Close to downtown and UGA. Great continental breakfast. Hotel itself could use some updating, but all in all, great stay for the price!

This Days Inn has an excellent lobby and breakfast area. The complimentary breakfast had a big choice of items. The rooms were basic but comfortable. Some updating would be in order. It was very nice to have a minifridge, a microwave and an ironing board. The pool area was also very nice.

Good proximity to downtown area..esp . if you're walking . nothing fancy but no need for more if you're looking for a place to stay. Good enough.

We were a party of a woman and a child. The front desk gave us a room at the outside of the building, facing the parking lot and the street. Convenient location, good internet connection/strength; some of the furniture is pretty old. I was put in a room where the TV would not work, but they quickly moved me to the room next door. Definitely no major complaints.

I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but for the price considering it was Memorial Day weekend, I went ahead and booked. I'm glad I did! This hotel is very basic, but it is not a bad value for the proximity to downtown Athens, GA. It is in walking distance to the university. It is also in walking distance to the stadium where the Yellow Jackets will beat the Bulldogs in football.

This hotel was a good value. Sometimes lower cost means lower service and conditions. This is not at all the case here. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. I normally to not like hotels/motels with outside hallways, but this one was not a problem. My room looked out over the pool and was very pleasant.

Yes, this hotel was adequate but it clearly had some age on it and I understand that keeping up an old building is expensive. The lighting in the restroom was very inadequate. Husband and I had a fine time. The hotel was all right, the bed was hard, but there was cable and a hot shower. If you're in Athens for a couple nights and you're going to be spend most of your time drinking and listening to music downtown, this is your place. Inexpensive and adequate comfort.

The hotel management was extremely helpful. They allowed us to check-out 1 hour after the scheduled time for no extra charge. While the hotel is not luxurious, it is comfortable and they provide you with all of the essentials. Furthermore, it is walking distance from downtown Athens which is great if you plan to go out at night.

We were unable to stay at our usual hotel in Athens, GA when we see a show at the 40 watt due to availability so the closest to the venue was Days Inn. We didn't want to drive to the show. When we checked in, the older man checking us in made a comment about people trying to check-in early. It was 4:00 and check-in time was 2:00. I'm willing to give folks the benefit of the doubt but the hotel was full and that was their excuse for no hot water. The bed spread was filthy, holes in the blanket and noisey. Truly, the only reason anybody stays there is it's cheap. The neighborhood is bad, as well. I stayed there once before and returned, hoping things would improve. Check in went smooth, which was good for us becasue we didnt get there till 1:10 am after a long flight and drive. The stay was nice except for a few things. We had requested for extra pillows in our room and they were not there for our stay. The maid service was not that good. They didnt clean the room till after 1:00 in the afternoon and left a bag […] of trash sitting on the floor, and the bed was not remade, it was just how i left it half made up. At each of the steps on the back section of the hotel where we were roomed there was grass instead of continuing the sidewalk and it poured durring our stay so we had to jump to get across the huge swamp puddles so out shoes and outfits would not get ruined for the wedding we were in. The people were friendly. The location was convenient to downtown. Could have been a little cleaner, but if you're just staying overnight, it's worth the price cosidering the location.

Good basic accommodations for the money...wasn't expecting anything more. Room was dated but clean. Looking for value and something close to the University of Georgia and got both. If you want amenities, go elsewhere
