Long established hotel short walk from centre of Hamilton with plenty of shops and restaurants. The restaurant and one of the pools was closed when we were there, but it was January. Free ferry to Fairmont Southampton and Waterlot restuarant, which is worth taking as its a nice (free) trip on the water. Best restaurant we tried was Bolero on the waterfront. […] Others all much the same, very pricey and plenty of fried stuff! Bermuda is EXPENSIVE so be prepared. Hotel: we chose a Signature Room with balcony which was very nice, with harbour view. We could have chosen a "gold" room for very little extra, with free breakfast etc, but decided we would prefer the balcony and view. The room was big, a bit old fashioned and the bathroom was compact, and an enormous TV (not flatscreen). On the last day a chap came with a new remote control and told me we only had 10 of the 100 channels available and promptly tuned in the other 90!! Drinks etc in the hotel were expensive - and the minibar too - I don't know why hotels do this - we just went to the supermarket and got small bottles of wine etc for a couple of dollars and put them in the minibar to chill. All in all, I think it is a good idea to stay in Hamilton - you are not stuck with a hotel restaurant (all the ones we went to were average to say the least - and expensive). Plus Hamilton is the hub of bus and ferry routes around the islands and if you stay at the Fairmont you get the free ferry and bus if you fancy a day on the beach or a game of golf. If you stay in a resort hotel, you are stuck there really, unless you keep forking out for taxis. 더 보기

The hotel staff were very helpful and very accomadating. It was easy to walk into Hamilton City wher one could easily use public services i.e. bus or ferry. Also had use of free transportation to Southampton Princess. Altogether a good experience

We stayed between Xmas and New Year. It is quiet and the weather very changeable but the hotel is very comfortable for a relaxing week. Definitely book in the original Victorian part of the hotel. It has had a recent refit and is beautifully decorated. We had room 648 which was huge and overlooks the harbour. 649 also looked large and all those below i. […] e 248, 348 etc will I assume be the same. The Gold membership was essential at this time of year. As the weather dictates that you don't spend as much time outside, the luxury of the Gold lounge made our holiday. There is ample space and they provide afternoon tea and then canapes at 5pm with drinks, all in. We ventured over to the Fairmount Southampton and were horrified at the small Gold lounge, not worth paying for.We played tennis there and it is chargeable. Bermuda is beautiful, very small, expensive to eat and drink and you can't hire a car. The bus system is easy and you can walk safely. 더 보기

The Fairmont was an excellent hotel for a get away with my wife. Extraordinary service, spectacular quality. A great value for what we got.

Beautiful hotel....centrally located. You are a 5 minute walking distance from downtown Hamilton, the Ferry Terminal, Miles Market (a specialty supermarket) and fabulous restaurants. The hotel has a boat shuttle between the Hamilton Princess and the Southampton Princess, allowing access to one of the island's most beautiful beaches....Horseshoe Bay […] Beach. 더 보기

I often have to travel alone and being female, even these days, can cause attitude problems. At the Fairmont Hamilton I was cared for and treated with the utmost respect, surrounded by comfort and freindliness I was reassured and content. This hotel is ideally situated for a visit out of season, despite the occasional gales and high seas Hamilton put […] on a good show and was a delight to experience. All the restaurants I used were excellent and were within walking distance of the Hotel. Weather permitting the ferries continued to work and providing you keep a open mind about sevices being cancelled because of the weather it is possible to get about and have fun using the buses and taxis, most of the Taxi drivers were great characters and often provided interesting notes on places passed. 더 보기

The Fairmont is an old hotel, but old in a nice, comfortable way, like a wecoming elderly aunt. The room was huge, with a big walk-in closet and a fine large balcony (at an additional charge) with superb views over the water. The bed was a very comfortable king-size and unlike many, had no noticeable "seam" down the middle. We did not eat at the hotel […] - there were several restaurants nearby - so cannot comment on the food. One thing that particularly impressed us ws the unfailing courtesy, efficiency and pleasant demeanor of the door staff and of the chambermaid, who, noticing my birthday card to my wife on display, left a very nice note with her own birthday wishes and a little home-made display. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. 더 보기

the food in the restaurant is very expensive the internet is not free

Our recent stay at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess was enjoyable. The room was larger than expected and was nicely furnished. We experienced a problem controlling the Airconditioning unit and it was looked at several times with no true fix. This proved to be the most negative aspect of our hotel experience. What a great place. You can take a free ferry boat to the Southampton Princess which has excellent beaches, spa, and other amenities. Staff was excellent. Very elegant hotel. A lot of rooms have view of the bay/harbor. Two pools-one fresh water, one salt water. My only complaint was the exorbitant price for breakfast: $30 per person!

The hotel staff are always wonderful to us. We love the "gold" level and always book it. The only down side is that the rooms could use some updating and because it is in the older section of the hotel there are no balconies, which would be wonderful. That being said, all the meals we had there were fine - our favorite waiter, Harry - he is wonderful!! The […] ferry to the Southampton is great, we always use it. PLEASANT SURPRISE. GREAT LOCATION. VERY CLEAN.

Overpriced if compared to a US hotel, but Bermuda is very expensive, so taking that fact into consideration, this hotel is very good!

Great service, VERY nice people working there. Beautiful experience. Bath towels only negative, not worthy of this level of hotel.

The Princess was excellent. It provided easy access to downtown Hamilton and the local bus stops/station. Hamilton, being relative central on the island, is a great jump off point for day trips to either St. Georges or the Dockyard. Scooter rentals are practically on-site at Smatts Cycles. We also enjoyed the convenience of the ferry to Southhampton […] and the excellent beach there. Happy hour on Thursday night was a great chance to see locals after work while enjoying the luxury of our hotel. We will certainly return. 더 보기
