Classy, convenient, fabulous breakfast!

This hotel is in OK condition. It's dated but clean. The matress, however, was one of the most uncomfortable ones I've ever slept on. That's after an evening with a few drinks as well! Location is decent and walking distance to good restaurants, bars, and convention center.

Everything was great except for the check-in time. I had to wait for 3 hours and customers that came in a later time got checked-in first. After 3 hours, I decided to go to the desk and she said "Your room is not yet ready but let me check another room.".....and that's the only time I got my keys.

Great location steps away from the Riverside. Great staff. Room small but nice nicely decorated and comfortable.

The service, cleanliness and breakfast are great at that place. If I have a chance to visit again it would be only for sleeping, the room with a king bed was kind of small and even looked smaller having in mind that there is no view at all axcept a gray chimney/court, there was no refrigerator, and just a couple of towels per person, the furniture and […] the tv/computer conditions looked good though I haven't use them. If you are on a business trip with night stay only and Tv/ Comp. fan that place may be good for you, otherwise there are better places to stay for the same or lower price. 더 보기

I really enjoyed my hotel stay. I came into the hotel after a long day of work and they had a managers cocktail hour with free appitizers and wine/beer. It was a great atmosphere! Their breakfast buffet was great as well. Very clean!

We had a wonderful stay at the downtown Hampton Inn. The lobby was torn up, so we were a little worried, but that was a minor inconvenience. We found the rooms comfortable and the staff very accomodating. Also, breakfast was great. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

My husband and I traveled to Milwaukee for my graduation; I had taken all courses online, so this was my first visit. Both the city and the hotel were clean, safe and accomodating. The lobby was under renovations so registration was in a temporary location. The staff could not have been more helpful friendly and professional. The breakfast was a nice touch. Nice varitey. The hotel is accross from the mall and very close to Marquette the Imax and a downtown theater.

The People the staff was good, and so was loaction. The only problem I had was, I had three rooms that I reserved. Now we got there early and one room wasn't ready, understandable. One room was perfect and ready, they gave us another room that they said was ready, but when we got to the room, towels were still on floor, bed was made no pillows, and […] old sheets and garbage put in corner waiting for the staff to pick up. The location is fantastic, as we were going to the Bon Iver concert at the Riverside that night, and then heading to Water Street after. The parking was extremely close to the hotel, and it was only $12 a night. The hotel is located very conveniently in the middle of everything that we had planned on seeing in Milwaukee. The neighborhood was comfortable at all hours of the day. We arrived on motorcycles and the parking situation was confusing. Motorcycle parking is a block and a half away around the corner. We had no troubles, but it was a bit worrisome when […] we first arrived. Our room was small. I had booked a 'king deluxe' room in hopes of getting something to spread out in since we were going to be there for 4 days. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean but set up oddly. In order to sit on the 'biffy' you had to either lean to the right or raise your left arm over the counter top. The shower was nice, good water pressure, nice showerhead, clean. Service was intermittent. Sometimes the staff was helpful and polite and we had one occasion where we were treated 'snottily'. Most of the time it seemed as tho they were very busy and unable to multi-task, so we ended up resolving our small problem ourselves. We did have a good stay and I would recommend Hampton to others, I just felt it was a little pricey for what we got, but I guess that is where the Location, Location, Location saying comes into play. Nice hotel, very helpful, friendly staff, super great service! It's close to the River Walk, boat rides, and awesome pubs with great food. The only negatives were the street noise while trying to sleep (it wasn't awful, we're just used to quiet, country living); and during breakfast on Sunday they ran out of seating, but we ate while sitting on the […] lobby couch. We had an awesome experience at the Hampton. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Despite arriving several hours early, we were provided access to our room. The room was phenomenal, from the cleanliness to the comfort of the beds. To top it off, breakfast was included! A+

free shuttle to summerfest 200 ft from from door, nice hotel, great location

Hotel is across the street from the mall right in the downtown. Lots of options for shopping and eating. When I travel, I always choose hotels that offer a free breakfast. The full breakfast offered at the Hampton Inn and Suites was the best I have ever encountered. There were several hot items, made fresh each morning, as well as fresh whole fruit, cut mixed fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereals and milk choices, juices, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, ice water, […] and I'm sure I'm not mentioning everything. I started each day with a warm full stomach and plenty of energy. The hotel location was great for the Convention Center and the Grand Avenue Mall, and I enjoyed my stay. Rooms were very nice. Cleanliness of rooms and hotel overall was excellent. Downside: parking situation was terrible, pool and hot tub water was discusting (water looked cloudy and dirty). Water should sparkle!!! Downtown area at night was scary.

Location was great, along with the parking! The pool and pool area are very small along with the fitness room. Breakfast was lacking - a bit disappointed there. The breakfast buffet was quite expansive and more than I would have expected. The pool area was not overly large but nice. The adjacent parking ramp was a bit expensive overnight ($12) but convenient with an entrance directly to the hotel.

The hotel stay it self was good. I was disappointed that the pool and hot tub were under construction, there was no vending on each floor, no view we saw in to a abdonded building, and the breakfast was not that great. but it was right next to the event we wanted to see so if I have another event there I would stay again... overall it was OK!

Yes..but then we got up to our room. Blood on the sheets, and when I called to have someone come clean it, no one showed up for 5 hours, until I made another call. Lets just say we left a night early.

The hotel was being remodeled, but the work was done quietly and unobtrusively. Front desk staff was friendly, helpful and infromative.

A TYPICAL "HAMPTON STAY'; ROOMS WERE CLEAN BUT A BIT ON THE SMALL SIDE AND YES THERE IS SOME ROAD NOICE IF YOU'RE ON THE STREET SIDE BUT NOT HORRIBLE - EARPLUGS SUPPLIED. BEST PART WAS EASY WALK TO SUMMERFEST NEVER USED CAB OR BUS. GREAT RESTAURANTS IN AREA - DEFINETLY WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN!

Great location, nice room! We really enjoyed our stay at the Downtown Milwaukee location. We were able to park in the ramp and walk to a concert at the Marcus Centre for the Performing Arts. The only negative comment I can make is about the street noise from Wisconsin Avenue, but I think that was to be expected in a downtown busy location. Room was overlooking main street and very noisy. Heater was not working in the room. I called the front desk and the manager told me thay had an issue with the heat in my room and the one next to me but there was nothing they could do until the next day. They didn't offer to switch me rooms...al they did is to offer blanket if I wanted.

The room was very nice and comfortable, the bathroom was large and very clean, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was decent and included, and parking was adjacent, connected and only a few bucks. There are certainly fancier hotels in Milwaukee, but this was fine in every respect. All in all a very fair deal.
