웨스틴 엑셀시어, 로마 (The Westin Excelsior, Rome) - 로마

A beautiful hotel with impeccable service from the check-in desk and concierge. The fact that they charge for wifi seems a little wrong nowadays, especially for a 5 star hotel in the Westin group. Also, had assumed breakfast was included, and was a little surprised to be charged separately for this, even though it was a very good breakfast.

Upon entering our hotel room, I noticed a light out over the tub/shower area, the hair dryer did not work and the desk light did not go on. I called the hotel service and they sent someone in about 1/2 hour. He tried the hair dryer, realized it did not work and left a hand held for me to use. He fixed the light on the desk and said he would return to […] replace the bulb in the light over the tub. He never returned. The room itself needed all the woodwork trim repainted since it was dirty and the stool in the bathroom, which had a vinyl covered seat, was dirty. The TV remote worked sometimes and then would not advance the channels, with no directions or channel listings available. The restaurant, where we ate our breakfast, was very nice as was the hotel bar and lobby. I felt the concierge staff average, at best. I have stayed at Ritz Carlton hotels and this Westin could not compare to the level of service offered at the Ritz. We were in Rome for 5 days and felt the price we paid did not match our experience at the Westin. 더 보기

i cannot say anything bad about the room or the service. it was excellent. The one thing that bothered me was that they wanted Euro 15 per day to get internet access. The hotel is located on a very nice but expensive street with few optios to eat or get a coffee locally without walking for 15 minutes. it is nicely located but you should be warned that […] coming home after a day tour walking around town involves an uphill climb! check ou tthe metro station at the top of the street to see if you can ride home free. 더 보기

The Westin was fabulous, about the best location in Rome and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Our room overlooked Via Veneto which was what we requested. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here on future trips to Rome.

Despite some of the reviews about this hotel having seen better days we would disagree! It was just beautiful. What an elegant and magical place to rest our heads while enjoying Rome.The staff was great.This hotel ranks among the best we have visited in the world.

We loved the Excelsior Hotel. I had my Starwoods Card and received an upgrade to a beautiful room. The hotel is within walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The area is upscale and beautiful. The service was wonderful.

As aged and historical as the physical building is its still the best centrally located place to stay in Rome. I have no complaints about room, staff. My only beef is the ridiculously antiquated and overly expensive wi-fi internet business office situation. Its from Noahs Ark and there is no excuse whatsoever for Starwood to tolerate this back to the […] dark ages functioning. But the charm of the people in the business office overcame some of the nonsense of the only one-log on at a time and no warnings of time expiration. 더 보기

You definectly expect more of a 5 start hotel. The day of the check out we have to wait for almost 2 hours, as the bell boys were doing nothing in the front of the hotel,and no one from the front desk care about helping the guests with the luggage despite our many complaints. They also wanted to charge me for an extra person, which it was already included […] in the booking price. The breakfast is extremely expensive! and just a few blocks you can get a complete breakfast for approximately 10.00 euros. we stayed there for four days, I loved it! i´ve being several times in Rome and stayed in the best hotels, and Excelsior tops them all in service, the rooms were very good, but the concierge carlo was MAGNIFIQUE!, HE WAS SO HEPLFUL, very cool, and professional. どこのミスか分りませんし、満足いく対応もありませんでした。部屋を変えてもらいましたがこちらはウェルカムサービスはなく、かなり汚い部屋でした。残念でした。

Mycket centralt läge. Trevligt poolområde. Något sliten interiör.

部屋の中にシャンデリアがあったり、ウォークインクローゼットがあったりと想像以上に豪華でした。 ロケーション的にもスペイン広場やトレビの泉まで歩いて行けたりと便利です。

Pluspunten : - ligging (nabij Piazza Barberini) - prachtig gebouw met heel mooie kamers Minpunten: - er mag al eens beter afgestoft worden in de kamers, je kon gemakkelijk je naam schrijven in het stof op de meubels - betalen voor Wifi als je al zoveel moet betalen voor je kamer, dat is een beetje belachelijk - concierge kon ons geen enkel goed restaurant […] aanraden. - 's morgens was het moeilijk om nog warm water uit de douche te laten komen 더 보기

Hotel pas recommander pour touristes, pas assez personel trop grand, pas bien centre (meme si c'est sur Via Veneto - ou il y a que des hotels 5 etoiles.) SI vous rechercher un beau 5 etoiles il y de meilleurs choix... y compirs dans la meem rue Regina, Boscolo, etc... En note positive, les chambres sont tres comfortables

It is a hotel in a nice area but a little bit far from the shopping center 15 mins walking and about 25 mins walking from piazza Navona, Pantheon and the other interesting monuments of Rome. Hotels location (Via Veneto) is a very nice area and most of the 5 star hotels located there but in now days has lost its charm. On the way back walking is difficult […] ( Hotel located on a hill). Unfortunately not a five star hotel, every day on the way back lobby was crowded by hotel's cheap various companies events and meetings.
