The exterior of building was being painted, the interior needed work.The desk clerk was a very nice young woman who was helpful in helping us locate a restaurant. The morning breakfast lady was very friendly and helpful. Other than the great staff the hotel was not a good experience. Upon leaving the elevator on our floor the smell of stale cigarette […] smoke was very strong even though this was a non-smoking floor. The hallway carpet was extremely dirty with spills and stains. It was seriously in need of cleaning. There was candy on the floor in our room so the floor could not have been cleaned well. The bed was uncomfortable. From the time we arrived until we left the following morning there was a maids cart outside just sitting in the hallway with trash on it. This place needs work! 더 보기

Smoking smell in the hall way. The Cuban Bigger lady at the receeption is very rude and not helpfull. Eat Bowls and bowls of ceriel in the public and very noicey.

I found a roach in our room right by the coffee maker and captured it on our phone. When we told the counter staff, she replied that she would inform the maintenance people and did not seem too concern about what we endured.

I stayed at this hotel ( and I use the term loosely), because of it's location. I had stayed at the Hampton Inn on Commercial last time I was in Ft Lauderdale, and got the 2 places confused. That will not happen again. The Comfort Inn is over priced and run down. The room was well past being redone, with worn carpeting, chipped and cracked fixtures […] in the bath and peeling paint.The first day my room did not get cleaned, because I went out to exercise in the morning, came back to shower ( there was no hot water), and left the room about noon. I stopped by the front desk to tell housekeeping I was out of the room, only to be told, they were done for the day! I was told someone would replace the towels and empty the trash, but that never happened. They did fix the hot water. The room was never vacuumed, or really cleaned. They made the bed. The "Breakfast" was inedible. The in room safe was broken and never fixed. The coffee OK. I will be staying at the Hampton Inn for my next visit. I suggest you do too. 더 보기

Hard to find. First arrived, checked into a room, inside door handled came off. Locked inside. Changed to a new room. The check in person not friendly. No answer to O at 3:15 AM. Then go to get ice,ice machine on 3rd floor, my floor was working. No ice machine on 2nd Floor. Ice machine only on 1st floor. Took them over two days to fix ice machine. Finally […] got a really helpful, friendly person on front desk. Tina, I believe.After a couple of days, the front desk and maid service went out of their way to accommodate me. It was just a frustrating couple of days upon arrival. Had the person at front desk not been so wonderful and to help/please me, I would not recommend this hotel. hotel was clean and convenient, check in was quick and easy and staff was helpful in advising us where to eat. breakfast was more than expected, biscuits and grave, eggs, wafflees cereal and more. clean and orderly. would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

This may have been my fault, however, when we arrived I discovered the room reserved for me (by me) was a smoking room. The room was DREADFUL! The A/C was off and there was zero air movement. I couldn't breathe and had to sit in the lobby for some time. The staff really didn't express any concern and couldn't do anything because the place was booked. […] I do understand, however, since TEN or more people were trying to book a room there I wondered why they didn't offer to refund my reservation and give the room to someone else. It smelled like smoke throughout the hotel even though we had a non-smoking room. Booked this room as part of the package through expedia. But the appearance alone is quite misleading, as beginning from the walkway and corridor, everything was dreadful as the rating says. Though non-smoking, was smelling of smoke all over, and room was untidy and not well maintained.

Stayed four nights.Just fine. In the middle between Sawgrass and the beaches area. Close to highways. Drove by it a few times because the sign is hidden by the trees. Would stay again. All staff friendly.

This hotel was ok for the price. Everything was average or slightly better. The only complaint was that the business center consisted of one computer that only offered internet for a fee and a printer that did not work so I could not print boarding passes for flight home.

The room was clean and comfortable, however there was a broken foot stool that only had 3 working legs and ended up tilting. If my stay was longer than 1 night this would of had to change.

I usually like Comfort Inns but this one needs a reno. The location is good, primarily a business area but convenient to expressways and interstate. The carpets in this place are horrible. The non smoking floor smelled of smoke and mold. Room needed an update. Sheets had holes in them. Comforters had soil stains and pen marks. The bed was comfortable […] and mattress appeared new. Carpet sticky and unclean. Small sugar ants everywhere. We checked in very late first night and back late 2nd night. I complained on checkout and front desk said they would have given another room. I feel the other rooms would have been the same. Housekeeping made up beds with same sheets, not an issue. But my friends forgotten used tissues left in her bed, still there in the sheets when bed was made. Rubber bath met left in tub, still there on return so I know it was not cleaned. air conditioning froze up. Did restart when shut down awhile. Please give this place a clean up and redo! 더 보기

Positives: Desk staff, very nice and helpful. Amenities were excellent and well maintained. Parking was fine. More affordable than hotels with same service. Negatives: Breakfast - would you like bottom of the pot cold coffee every morning? Room carpeting could have been cleaner. Room next door to breakfast kitchen? Just say no.

The carpet needs to be updated. The first day that I arrived at hotel, you could smell the smoke in the carpet. It had a very musty smell. The staff was very warm and pleasant. I was very pleased with the service I received while at Comfort Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale. The fornt desk clerk Shay was always very helpful. She gave me a warm welcome and filled me in on all the questions I had on the running of the hotel. She even recommended places to eat. Before the end of the trip we were on a first name basis. She gave excellent […] customer service. The front desk manager Amit was also very helpful and he always remained professional. He atcually called up places of my interest for me, got directions and gave them to me (and it was easy to find also). He assited me with my internet service until I got through. Good location between the Sawgrass Expressway and Turnpike and felt like it was a pretty good area. Great staff. The room was spacious and clean with terrific beds and a nice enclosed bathroom.
