Hotel was very clean; rooms, furniture and all common areas. The location was great; only one block to the PATH train station. The free continental breakfast was good, but the items were not being refilled promptly because the person who was minding the area was busy on his cell phone either texting or web surfing on 2 of the days. Although the personnel were most polite and charming, sadly the Hotel did not live up to the 'Ramada' standards. A beautiful 'Art Deco' building, conveniently located near the 'PATH' train station and with affordable parking at walking distance, the room was much too HOT and the air conditioning device defective. This hotel fulfilled all our basic needs. Guests were from all over the world which made is a truly New York kind of experience. The only thing which was not satisfactory was the heat. We could not adjust the heat and the room became stifling. When we mentioned it at checkout, the woman at the desk gave us a 15% discount and said, "We don't want you […] to go away unhappy." For our two day visit to NYC prior to boarding a cruise ship, we did a lot of research on possible hotels inside and outside of NYC. We found the Ramada Jersey City to be a great value, comfortable, and convenient to mass transportation. The hotel is an older property so don't expect too much from the facility. They provide a free continental breakfast, […] but after the first morning, we skipped it - totally jammed, almost nothing nutritious to eat (a real carb-fest) and not always well stocked given the number of people using it. Instead we went to a restaurant (VIP) a few blocks away that was decent and inexpensive. We were able to take the PATH train into NYC and managed to get around using mass transit without too many problems (and some help from a few locals). While the neighborhood around the hotel is not the greatest, we didn't feel unsafe and it was an easy walk to get around. The room was comfortable and had a fridge and microwave. It was a bit difficult to moderate the room temperature because air conditioning came from a window unit that was trapped behind heavy drapes, so it got a bit hot during the night. They also have a work-out room - we didn't use it and didn't see anyone else using it, but it looks decent. I'd definitely stay here again if visiting New York and avoid spending $200-300 more a night for a room in the city. 더 보기

Upon staying at this hotel the rating was 3 stars. I had to walk almost a mile from the PATH train station to the hotel in a not so clean or safe area. There were trash hundreds of trash bags on the sidewalks and the smell was not pleasent. THe hotel looks like it was an old apartment building turned into a hotel. Check in took a whole 5 minutes and […] my room was located on the 5th floor and next to a stairwell. The hallways smelled and it felt like I was in a sauna. The elevator took forever to get to the main floor and take me to my room. Once I got to my room the door open to a small hallway that barley let me open the door. A small closet in the corner behind the door and a small bathroom. The toilet didnt flush and the blow dryer didnt work. The good thing about the bathroom was the water pressure in the shower. The main area had a microwave, coffee pot, king bed, tv, 3 drawer dresser (which held the tv), a desk and a window a/c unit. I had the a/c unit turned down to 55 degrees and it wasnt even cold. There was a seperate room with a full bed, 3 drawer dresser/tv stand, tv (which was bigger than the main area's tv) and a large closet. The safe inside the second room didnt work. There was a continentail breakfast that offered quite a selections of juice, cereal, fruit, bread, and other quick breakfast items. I was in town with my brother for a wedding and requested a two bed room. I was excited when I received a two bedroom room! It was so nice of the staff and the rooms were great. The beds were very comfortable. I would say the best feature of the hotel was the staff. Everyone there was extremely nice. Stayed in the Ramada for 4 nights, chose this hotel as it was cheap and about 20mins from manhatten by train. The PATH trains were reliable and took you into manhatten, 33rd st or World Trade Centre. Rooms were nice and spacious and provided free wifi. If i were to visit NYC again i would probabpy spend a bit more on a Manhatten hotel as the travelling […] did get a bit tedious. 더 보기

The hotel has a family-run quality to it. Service was friendly and quite helpful. They have a free shuttle from P-4 at the Newark Airport which I greatly appreciated. Breakfast is in a well lit room on the ground level with a wide choice of food -- from bagels and toast to cereal and eggs 'n' cheese to pancakes and french toast, yogurt, etc. Quality […] is fine for the value. The hotel is two blocks from the NJ Path train for a quick trip into Manhattan. Neighborhood is a funky mix of working class homes and retail. Two blocks away is a vibrant area with Indian restaurants and food shops. My room was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and spacious. Hotel located in very scary neighborhood, and poor quality of actual hotel.

Location is convenient for Jersey City. We enjoyed the stay but had some enervating knocking from the radiator most of the night. Breakfast ok but nothing special.

I'm sorry to say that I absolutely disagree with the reviews!! The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is that the hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful...otherwise this would be an even worse review! The room was smelly, old, and gross. Our room was clean and comfortable. The gave us a suite with an extra bedroom (which we did not use) because that was the only room with a king bed at the time. The breakfast was surprisingly good. We used the airport shuttle which was prompt. Having the access to the PATH train just a couple of blocks away was a great plus.

We were very satisfy with this hotel. The staff was very helpful with travel information. The included breakfast was delicious and very well supplied. And the location was perfect, just a couple of feet away from the train station.

The hotel was conveniently located to the journal station path train and the room was great, and had two tbs and two beds. My kids didn't fight over what to watch.

The rate was very good and we got a very good service for it. Nice hotel, close to the underground, which goes to Empire State Building or to Ground 0. We loved it and would recommend to everyone who wouldn't stay in Manhattan.

Overall not a bad hotel on a budget. The decor is a bit dated but clean and tidy. Look, if you're happy staying in a hotel that functions as a flea pit, then this is the place for you. I had been lead to believe that the Remada hotels were OK and the price seemed reasonable. I was not able to stay the night at this hotel and had to forsake my money. Would not recommend this place...

I believe it is a good choice for those preferring to stay in New Jersey instead of New York or to those seeking for a lower price than those in Manhattan. Mon épouse et moi avons apprécié notre séjour de 4 jours à cet hotel. Le train et le stationnement sont situés à moins de 5 minutes de marche de l'hotel. L'hotel est propre et le déjeuné continental offrait une bonne variété de produit. La TV est une HD avec une bonne variété de stations. Pour nous cet hotel offre un bon ratio prix vs qualité.

2 bloks away from Journal Sq. Path Station, that takes you to NYC in a few minutes. Lots of amenities around. Nice area.

This Hotel is located 1 block away from a comercial area and 2 blocks away from PATH (train to Manhattan) so you can get to NYC in 15 minutes.
