This hotel was very affordable and great for location. The staff was very helpful and made our visit pleasant. It is in walking distance of numerous restaurants and shops. It is not right near some of the tourist attractions ( ex: Prado) but you can catch the metro station near by to get where you need to go in the city.

We would highly recommend., We have stayed there twice, once last December and again in March. One of few reasonably priced three-star hotels so conveniently located.

This hotel was good value and is in an excellent location, 2 mins walk from the Plaza Mayor in the centre of Madrid. The Royal Palace is a 10 minute walk away and there are numerous restaurants in the area. A great hotel for couples wanting to sightsee in Madrid. I will definitly return there.

Fantastic location. Very modern, clean and comfortable for a city hotel in a city location. The room was quiet due to inside location so no view at all but this didn't matter to us. The breakfast was great value at 10 euros. Staff helpful. This hotel was fantastic value for money. We will certainly use this chain again in both Spain and France.

If you stay in this hotel, make sure to ask for a room on the opposite of the hotel away from their night club / theater. Otherwise it's extremely loud and you'll get no sleep whatsoever. However, this is hotel has a great location and is smack dab in the middle of downtown Madrid.

There is a club and a theater within the same building of this Hotel. The walls are not sound proof, therefore you can hear EVERYTHING! It is so loud you feel like you're in the theater. This went on all night till about 5am. They booked us in the wrong room on purpose right next to the club so they can buy themselves time to switch us to a quieter […] room. We spent two days transferring our belongings. The second room was just as loud. You can hear the elevator go up and down every time. The staff was helpful and polite but if you're looking for any kind of peace and quit in order to sleep this is not the hotel for you. 더 보기

Practically everything that is interesting for a tourist visiting Madrid is within no more than 15 minutes walking distance, and so there is no need to take the metro subway at all. A short walk to Puerto de Sol, Placa Mayor, Placa Saint Ana and the Old Town, and no more than 10 to 15 minutes to the Big Three Museums. Restaurants are abundantly available […] all round the hotel. The hotel room is comfortable and reasonably spacious for a 3-star hotel, and very clean and neat. It was impossible to connect to the hotel wi-fi though, and the hotel computer is snail slow. 더 보기

We stayed here for five nights and were not disappointed. Puerto del Sol was two blocks away and Plaza Mayor about three. It was very clean and very convenient to restaurants and transportation. I would stay here again

This hotel is very nice and in a great location, I would definitely stay there again.

Spent five nights here in August 2011. Location was the main influence on choosing it as our son has a room in a nearby appartment. Turned out to be a brilliant location as it was a short walk to every possible facility and all the central attractions of the city. First time in Madrid on business...excellent on all accounts for the price.

This is a charmless hotel with a lackluster staff. We stayed one night and chose it for the convenience, but would not go back.

The staff was great, the rooms were very clean, and the location is great! Plus for the price we paid we couldn't ask for more. Would highly recommend.

We found this gem at short notice and were pleased with the selection. It's close to the old city centre with an easy walk to local attractions. Rooms are clean and well appointed.

The Hotel is well located in the center of Madrid. The rooms are old. The breakfast is good. We select the hotel because have parking, but wend we check in they tall us that they cannot accommodate our car. I do not plan to use the hotels again.

Located near both Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor and just steps away from two Metro stops, the Medium Cortezo is a clean, comfortable place to stay in Madrid.

This is a simple, well maintained, clean hotel. If you are a first time visitor to Madrid the location is perfect - a few streets from the Tirso de Molina metro stop - close to the Plaza Mayor, the Puerto del Sol, and the Atocha train station. The hotel was well maintained. Helpful staff, SUPER easy walking access to Puerta Del Sol, Plaza Mayor and metro stations, Prado museum/Retiro Park. AND free WIFI! Highly recommended!

Our Taxi dropped us off in the wrong place, and we had some trouble finding the hotel b/c people didn't know the loc of cortezo st. Still, the location is perfect, and the street fairly large - just be aware that it may not be well known in the area. Strongly suggest the hotel. Beautiful rooms and facilities and very friendly staff.

This was a great hotel in the older section of Madrid. It is near Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol and not far from the museums (Prada, Reina Sofia). The Atocha train station is walkable, if you don't have too much luggage. It is also a short walk to many great eating places (tapas). The rooms are European small, but clean. The beds were a little firm […] for me, but that's usual. We had our own full bathroom. The breakfast buffet is good but expensive. Internet access is available on their laptops or your own. The front desk staff is very helpful and they speak English. The room TV was a flatscreen and a decent size. They also had very large TVs in the common rooms. This is very good for money. It has excellent location and the rooms are clean. The staff was very helpful. There was a minor problem on getting hot water for shower in the morning but was fixed next day.

Sol is by far the most happening part of Madrid - great to be so centrally located - tapas bars, cinema, shops, metro - it's all on the doorstep of the hotel. Although the hotel is going through a refurb, it never interfered with our stay. We requested the 4th floor and our room - 411 - was fine. Hotellin sijainti oli aivan loistava. Ainoastaan herkkäunisille hotellia en suosittele, sillä huoneisiin kantautui jonkin verran melua. Muuten oikein hyvä valinta kaupunkilomalle!

FANTASTICO! Desde el día que llegué la atención estupenda. Calefacción el los pasillos del hotel. Temperatura nada más llegar de la habitación perfecta. Dos ascensores por planta, con lo cual no hace falta esperar demasiado en las horas puntas para poder bajar o subir a la habitación. El servicio de limpieza de lo mejorcito, super cuidado todo, super […] agradable y educado, sin molestar ni una sóla vez en la habitación llamando. Pedí una toalla y al momento la tenía y lo mismo con pasta de dientes. Prolongué mi estancía varios días por lo cómoda que me encontraba. Y eso que hasta la fecha siempre me alojaba en otro hotel (y por trabajo viajo cada semana a Madrid). Sólo dos cosas malas que me decepcionaron enormemente. El jueves por la noche llegaba una compañera de trabajo y como siempre iba a alojarse en el otro hotel donde habitualmente nos veníamos alojando en nuestros viajes a Madrid. Llamé para ver si tenía habitación, aunque lo había comentado en recepción ese mismo jueves por la mañana y me dijeron que tenían disponibilidad. Cuando llegó mi amiga por la noche le dijeron que no había habitaciones, cuando 5 minutos antes había avisado que vendría mi amiga. Llamé a recepción y me dijeron que estaban completos. Fui a buscar a mi amiga y mientras tomaba algo con ella llamé al hotel pero nadie contestaba el teléfono (una verguenza la verdad). Al final si que había habitación pero la persona de recepción desconozco el motivo de porque no quería dar una habitación a mi compañera. Comentamos este detalle con nuestra empresa (que es quien nos paga el hotel) y nos dijeron que al recepcionista le extrañaba que siendo dos chicas no nos alojasemos en la misma habitación. Un comentario totalmente fuera de lugar. A la mañana siguente con prisas me llamaron a la habitación (el viernes) que si quería quedarme un día más que tenía que bajar rapidamente a pagar y eso que eran las 12.00 en punto. Las paredes son muy finas,escuchas a los vecinos en todo momento y las camas estan forradas de un plastico"higienico" que suena demasiado mientras duermes y te hace sudar hasta la saciedad.

Das Hotel Medium Cortezo liegt sehr zentral und fussläufig zu den meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Bei Bedarf ist eine Metrohaltestelle wenige Minuten entfernt. Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung, kein Luxus aber für den Preis ehr o.k..Allerdings wird es den Zimmern zur Strasse abends/nachts sehr laut, da die Madrilenen jedenfalls im Sommer die Nacht zum Tage machen. […] Wenn man lärmempfindlich ist, sollte man lieber ein Zimmer zum Innenhof nehmen, da hat man zwar keine Sonne im Zimmer, aber sicher mehr Ruhe nachts. Ich fand die Zimmer auch nicht düster, meine Reisebegleitung wollte aber lieber ein Zimmer mit (direktem) Tageslicht. Zu empfehlen ist auch die Dachterasse des Hotels. Wir haben dort ein Mal mitgebrachte Tapas verzehrt, das war sehr stimmungsvoll. Außer uns war dort kein Mensch. Ach ja, wer´s braucht, um die Ecke ist auch ein Lidl!. Aber in unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es auch ein paar kleinere Läden, in denen man gekühlte Getränke, Obst etc. kaufen kann. Alles in Allem bietet das Hotel ein sehr gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Cerca de la Latina y de la zona centrica de Madrid. Buena comunicación con los medios de transporte. limpio y bien atendido.

Only negative point was noise from nearby room, where locals had discussion, which could be heard, like they would be in same room.

El hotel ofrece una muy buena relación calidad/precio; está situado muy cerca de la Puerta del Sol y tanto la limpieza como la atención en el servicio fue muy buena. Si vuelvo a Madrid, iré allí otra vez.

Hôtel très bien situé mais vraiment trop cher pour une chambre minuscule, vue sur un mur, salle de bain peu entretenue et lits très inconfortables! Le tout, petit déjeuner non compris.

Dette hotellet anbefales på det sterkeste. Rimelig pris i forhold til standard, og perfekt beliggenhet. Hotellet ligger i en rolig gate, så det var lite støy. Rommet vi tre som reiste sammen delte var romslig, rent og innbydende. Ansatte var hyggelige og behjelpelige, så dette er et hotell vi absolutt kunne tenkt oss å bo på igjen.
