We like to walk so the proximity to lots of sights was easy for us. This may be a factor for people who wish to walk. We found the buffet breakfast, both the continental and the full, to be expensive.

Hotel is top quality, very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Only criticism is staff not that friendly and atmosphere not very Irish, hotel could be anywhere in world. It's only minor criticism and I'd highly recommend the Ashling hotel.

The Ashling ismost convenient for holding group meetings.

Everything was great except breakfast. Not only was it not possible to book it with the room, but it is €12 for a fry. The waiter was extremely condescending when he discovered that my breakfast wasn't included in my room and I'd have to pay extra for it (as I said, there was no option to include one when I booked, so I don't know what he expected). […] The fry part of the breakfast was nice, but the continental part (only €9 if you eat no hot food) had been sitting out too long and the cheese had gone rubbery. Great location if travelling by train. About 15 minute walk to main tourist area. Rooms were nice and large enough for four adults. Bar and sitting area provided a nice end to the evening.

Good accommodation, helpful staff. close to Heuston Station. Easy access via Luas Tram

I have stayed at The Ashling Hotel in Dublin on numerous occasions and have not had reason to seek alternative hotel accommodation in Dublin to date. For me, the location of this hotel is the key selling point. It is very close to Houston Train Station, the Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo etc. The Luas (metro) line stop is also very close to the hotel […] for easy access to the city centre and there are always taxis around if required. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is also quite nice there. The room rates are competitive and reasonable. From my own personal experience I would have no hesitation in recommending The Ashling Hotel to anyone interested in a short stay in Dublin. 더 보기

I have stayed here quite a few times while on business in the area. It's convenient , and on the LUAS line which makes access to the centre very easy. Hotel is always clean and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful when I stay there.

Very nice hotel,good location. Breakfast expensive @€12 each for adults & children.

Hotel is in great location and Luas tram conveniently close as is national train station Heuston. Also has a car park which was free up to 12 noon last time I was there but now costs €8 per day but not bad for location. My only complaint was I booked through hotels.com and got good rate for 2 nights but got awful room. It had an outdated 4foot 6inch […] bed as double and another single bed. Neither were to my satisfaction. Most hotels now have 5foot beds as standard. This is my 3rd time in this hotel and once I got a new modern room. I requested it this time but didn't get it. Also the room was almost at the end of a corridor on 3rd floor but I didn't mind that as I'm perfectly able bodied. No doubt you get what you pay for. We got 2 door cards and when leaving hotel later, we left one in room but found 2nd one didn't work when we got back later. My husband had to traipse back to reception to rectify problem. Bar area is nice with friendly staff.I'll try somewhere else next time. 더 보기

I stayed here for just over two weeks while I looked for permenant accomodation. One of the best hotels I have stayed in for business. Maybe THE best. It has good ambiance, the rooms are clean and well equipped, and the facilities are good (the restaurant was a revelation). But by far and away it distinguishes itself by the quality of its staff; they […] were polite, helpful and friendly without the air of condescention that sometimes sets my teeth on edge. This hotel is perfectly fine and met all expectations. However, there are too many inexpensive hotels in the area to go to this one when its a decent walk to anything worthwhile in Dublin. It's closest to the Guiness plant and old Jameson Distillery but that is it.

Very convenient location: just across from Heuston station and also on the Luas line. Room (superior room) was cosy, spacious and of a high standard.Lovely decor. Food: excellent carvery at lunchtime, served by staff (no self-service),breakfast also excellent. Staff were very helpful and professional, and smiled. The restaurant staff in particular […] were very pleasant to deal with. Only negatives (very small issues): spotlights in the bedrooms, gave inadequate lighting for me when looking into my carrier case! Everything was fine, got a surprise about the overnight parking charge of €7 and we were put in the older part of the hotel, which did have a lingerining smell of tobacco. Everything else about the hotel was perfect, staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and decor was very nice. The Chesterfields Restaurant is a must. Good choice of menu food was delicious and presentation was excellent. Our room was too hot. We couldn't get one of the radiators to turn off. Had the windows open fully, barely making it tolerable. We pointed it out to some one who seemed like a supervisor. He gave it a cursory inspection, then just left things unchanged. Check in personnel were cold and unfriendly. The morning desk man was the opposite: kind, friendly […] and helpful. Room was clean. We loved that is was so close to the train station as we were doing rail tours as part of our trip. Also easy access to buses and the LUAS tram. The service was outstanding! The breakfast buffet was the best we had at any hotel we stayed in for our 2 weeks in Ireland and Scotland. Every employee we encountered gave us excellent customer service.

Lovely hotel to stay in. Good atmospher, great staff, excellent food. This was my third time staying here and only criticism is that the last time I got a room with 4 beds which was a bit excessive for 2 people. Anyway would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Dublin, Luas stop makes everything easy in getting around.

When I book this hotel also phoned them diret to see whether they could match the hotels.com price - they said they couldnt!! However - I suspect this means you end up with one of there less favourable rooms - we were initailly put in a room that overlooked a massive air conditioning unit which was very noisy! Fortunately when I asked we were moved […] to a much better room. The hotel itself is ouside of the main city - however is easily walkable (10 - 15 mins). There is a great tram system across the city and a 'stop' for this is just outside the hotel main entrance - so transport is not a problem. Dublin zoo and the Guiness factory are close to the hotel (walkable in about 10 mins) The Hotel foyer and reception area are really well finished - like a quality 4 star hotel should be. I can highly recommend the food at the Hotel - we ate there for three nights - the less formal 'bar' style area served great food at reasonable prices - the staff were really helpful and friendly to! The breaksfasts arer brillinat - they put on a massive selection of food - cereals, fruit as well as the 'full Irish' option which I would recommend. Breakfast was 11 Euros for the full Irish option and 9 Euros for the Continental option. The hotel rooms were clean and tidy - beds comfortable and the bathrooms fully fitted (and clean and tidy) - however compared to the grand entrace they did feel a bit tired. Overall the hotel is ideally situated if you want to explore the city without having to stay right in the middle of it! The staff are helpful, the rooms clean and tidy and importantly the price is good - especially compared to some lesser rated hotels that are right in the city centre. 더 보기

We opted for an upgraded room. It was really nice and very comfortable. The breakfast was also great. Highly recommended (at least the upgraded rooms).
