플라자호텔 (The Plaza) - 서울

가장 좋았던 점은 인사동과 광화문에서 가까운 호텔 위치였고, 객실도 레노베이션해서 깨끗하고 좋았다. 하지만 2008년쯤엔가 이 호텔에서 묵은 적이 있었는데 그때는 호텔이 좀 낡았지만 깨끗하고 객실도 더 크고 더 아늑한 분위기였던 거 같다. 직원들도 더 친절하게 느껴졌었고 아침 조식도 훨씬 저렴했던 거 같고.. 레노베이션 후의 객실은 레이아웃은 좋았으나 작게 느껴졌고, high tech로 하려는 건지 커튼과 조명 조절을 자동 스크린으로 해야해서 익숙해 질때까진 번거롭게 느껴졌다. 그래도 전반적으로 가격과 위치면에서 더 플라자 호텔을 추천한다.

체크인 시간보다 일찍 로비에 갔음에도 투숙객의 편의를 위해 체크인 가능하게 해주신점 너무 좋았어요. 여성 혼자 묵기에도 안전한듯 했구요, 다만 핸드워시가 아닌 비누가 비치되어 손을 씻을때마다 불편했어요,,비누놓는 그릇이 물이 빠지지않아,.물에 담가진 비누를 사용해야했구요.. 연박일경우 환경을 위해 최소한의 세탁물만 수거하는 그린카드?같은 것도 있던데,,,차라리 그런 비누를 비치하시고 버리시는것보다...핸드워시를 비치해놓으시면 남는다고 버리실것도 없고 투숙객들에게도 편리할거라고 생각합니다, 그외의 다른점은 정말 좋아서 다시 투숙하게된다면 플라자 호텔을 선택할것이구요 특히 플라자호텔의 스파시설은 최고라고 생각합니다. 감사합 […] 니다. 더 보기

객실도 깔끔하구 좋았구...룸서비스도 괜찮았구요... 서비스는 대체적으로 만족... 아쉬운 점이라면 수영장이 건물이 따로 있어서.. 날씨가 추운데...밖으로 나가서 옆건물로 가야 한다는 점....

부띠끄호텔 답게 인테리어가 너무 예쁘네요. 위치는 말할것도 없이 너무 편하죠. 단점이라면, 방이 작다는거, 근데 거기에 맞게 레이아웃을 잘했어요. 클럽층이었는데, 직원분들 너무 친절하시고 편하게 해주셨어요. 덕수궁 티켓도 공짜로 주시고 감사합니다. 편하게 잘 쉬다 갑니다

아는곳이 시청앞/명동뿐이었고,강남지역호텔은 만실이라 예약이않되어 프라자에 stay하였읍니다. 요즘대부분의친구들이 강남에살아 찾아오기엔교통이불편하다하여 미안한마음이들었고,시내중심이라그런지주변공기가 매연으로매우탁하였고혼잡하여 불편했읍니다.침대가 방중앙에위치하여 공간이협소하게느껴져불편하였고 책상앞으로 카텐이지나가는 공간이있어 볼펜등이 앞으로떨어져 책상밑으로기어들어가주워야하는 불편이있었읍니다.제반시설이너무현대적기기들이라사용법숙지에 시간이걸렸읍니다. 다음번엔좀더 조용하고 넓은곳에숙박했으면하는데 예약가능한 한국호텔이부족한느낌이들었읍니다. 너무많이변했고예전모습이남아있는곳이없어쓸쓸했읍니다.옛것을보존하며발전했으면하는바램입니다

Its a hotel thats great for business and holiday trip with family. Within walkable distance to financial hub, shopping malls and eateries. Great comfort linen with state of class room facilities. Would be staying in this hotel for my next visit to Seoul.

Back for the fourth time and have nothing negative to say about this hotel. Always satisfied.

Clean modern rooms, excellent service by hotel staff, comfortable beds all make my stay in Seoul ver enjoyable. Overall we are very satisfied with this hotel. It is at the center of Seoul City very close to the major tourist attractions and shopping areas and there is an entrance to an underground shopping center right next to the hotel. Listen to your customer - isn't this what the concierge is supposed to do. well, here at Plaza they are mostly day dreaming. Asked them to book taxi to airport at 5pm and they mistakenly booked it for 5am. When the driver arrived and waited for half an hour early in the morning, he had no one to turn to (because the lobby has no staff?) but gave me […] a wake up call! Poor driver. Fine hotel with good service. However, why charge for coffee in the room exceeding one cup? Ridicilous! Wifi working fine in the room, but space is rather limited. Short walk to restaurants and the Lotte Department store where all your needs can be fulfilled.

We had 2 deluxe twin rooms for a 5 night stay. A very nice modern hotel. Loved the shower and bidet facilities. In addition, the Eric Kaser bakery that operates from 7am to 11pm is just wonderful. The breads are yummy. The underground Metro is really ideal especially in winter and it is very convenient for moving around to see Seoul City. It had been eight years since I last stayed at the Seoul Plaza and it's been totally renovated and updated. Love what they've done to it. Everything's a touch pad away. The facilities were superb and convenient and I'd stay there again in a minute.

Pleasant, convenient, cozy hotel with a quiet and clean room. It took a little bit longer than expected from City Hall station though.

I booked an upgraded room with a couch and coffee table with a fair amount of room and I liked it a lot over a 4 night stay. The room itself was reasonably priced through Hotels.com. The plaza hotel allow us to have early check in (~8:00am), we have room immediately and can get rest after transportation. It is very good for my wife and I. The staffs r helpful and polite. Our room is facing city hall which can see people ice skating downstair. Great hotel in Myeong Dong. very convenience!

I stayed at the Plaza Hotel for a week for business and it was a delightful experience. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location was just perfect - close to Myungdong and Lotte Department store with subway line 2 underneath the hotel. This is a must stay place - a bit expensive but definitely worth the $$!

Rooms are tiny. Air conditioning would not work - yes it is winter, but the rooms were too hot. Service level is great. Rooms are modern and nicely appointed. Airport bus stops in front of hotel, which is super convenient.

I stayed two nights (Club Deluxe - double room) at the Plaza in late October. I don't give this hotel five stars status; I wasn't impressed by the modernity of the room - glassed see-through shower room, automated curtains and lighting etc. I've stayed many three and four stars "business" hotels in Europe and Asia with equal quality in maintenance and […] service thus honestly speaking The Plaza deserves only near "4 stars" status. The location is as good as other nearby hotels such as Lotte and Westin which have more classy atmosphere with larger rooms. The price at the Plaza simply doesn't match the quality you expect from "five stars". I stayed in another "five stars" hotel nearby one night before my return home and I paid the same price, including a private limo service to Incheon International, club breakfast and a bigger room with fair service as in the Plaza. My wife and I spent 4 nights here. This was our 1st trip to Seoul and I carefully selected this hotel after taking into consideration price, ease of accessibility to eating places and airport etc. and eventually selected the premier twin as it was larger and had the bedroom and living room in 2 sections. Excellent service by the hotel staff in luggage transfer, tour bookings, internet service and general pleasant attitude 3. It was indeed in an excellent location with easy access to transport, underground shopping mall and many eating places 4. Internet speed, which was complimentary, was blazingly fast. Coming from Malaysia this was like being on another planer! Cons Inexplicably, on the 3rd day, we returned at 3pm to find the room uncleaned. We went out for another hour and although cleaned, we found it to be a rushed job with only beds made and carpet vacuumed. There was no replacement of bath towels and beverage packs. The room is very sophisticated. It has the great technology with the curtain, light setting. Also the location is just 2 minutes away from city hall station ans stroll away from Myeondong and Namdaemun area. We will definitely staying here if we come back to Seoul.

The hotel is in a great location and we got the view looking over the city hall, downside is that it was very noisy due to the numerous activities that was going on over the week we stayed their, however they do provide ear plugs, but we only got one set, thank goodness my husband had his own :D The room is lovely and very hi-tech, I read reviewing […] prior to our stay that they were small, but for us both this was fine, as the bed was very comfortable and we didn't spend much time in our room. Only downside were the pillows (too high to sleep on, we ended up throwing them on to the floor and sleeping flat.) Reasons you should stay here: 1. Free wi-fi (personally I think all hotels should offer this) 2. Fully equipped gym (this is in the next hotel, but very close to walk too) 3. Great location, close to the subway and shopping centres (actually you can get to the subway and shopping area via the hotel basement, we only discovered this on our 3rd day) 4. Brand new hotel opened in 2010. Rooms are spacious and lovely. Gym and sauna are nice and are located in a building across the street. Beware if you take more then 1 coffee pod a day, you will get charged. All the staff spoke great English and were VERY kind and helpful!

We stayed at The Plaza in Seoul for 5 days. Located right across the road from City Hall, The Plaza makes it easy to get around town with the subway literally at its footsteps. Just step outside and around the corner to get into the subway system. Right in the middle of the different shopping districts. Namdaemun local market, Myeongdong for the fashion conscious and Dongdaemun for a bit of everything. Will stay here again. Very clean, very friendly, concierge very helpful.

Very stylish hotel, even with its own R&B style Theme song, well located, great service, will defiantly stay here again in the future.

This place is definitely 5 star. It has all the amenities I could ask for, and more. Extremely clean, impeccable service from every employee (one of those places where there is always someone in view to help and everyone says hello, with a bow, and is eager to assist), and electronically operated curtains. My taxi driver to the hotel said that The Plaza […] is nicer than the hotel where President Obama stayed in Seoul, and I believer it. I was very pleased with the location, across the street from City Hall plaza, and plenty of nightlife in addition to great daytime walking around the city. Close to major shopping, at least 3 monuments that I stumbled upon, and two temples. It practically has its own subway station, which is about 50 feet from the hotel entrance. The only negative thing I can say is that the room was small. My room had a double bed, a desk, and a closet. Interestingly, the room was made to seem larger by the design of the bathroom. The all-glass shower divided the bedroom from the bathroom so it seems larger because I could see all the way through to the sink. There was an automatic curtain that would close to give privacy in the shower or bathroom, but you can leave it open to watch someone shower... if you're into that sort of thing. Great hotel. The Plaza hotel in Seoul is clearly one of the best in its price range not just in Korea but anywhere in the world. The service is both helpful and kind; the room I had was state-of-the-art in terms of technology, had a wonderful view, and was impeccably clean. I cannot imagine anyone having a complaint, except that they inevitably have to leave!!

The Plaza has a very prime location, walking distance to Lotte Department store and Meong Dong. We had a family deluxe room good for 3 pax. The room is clean and neat. It may not be super big but it is good enough for us.

We stayed for 3 nights during Easter in a Premier Double. It was spacious with a separate sitting area. Good thing for the window is it has a kind of small holes allowing fresh air to come in. This is good for those who cannot stand the internal heating. Bathroom are clean and towels are very decent. Except that shaver and toothbrush are both not provided […] which is quite extraordinary for such a grade of hotel. We ordered one toothbrush which worths 6,000 won. The staff explained it is due to environmental reason!!! I stayed in IBIS with a lower grade and it did provide such amenities. This hurts the overall rating and is something the hotel should review. 더 보기

I read some reviews about this hotel's decor being dated. Well, this hotel has undergone extensive remodeling I guess. The rooms are amazing. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the rain shower. The service is excellent. We had drinks at the upscale bar, which cost about twice as much as a normal bar in Seoul. There are several really good restaurants […] in the area, especially in the Seoul Financial Center. Many major sights are walking distance and the subway runs right to the hotel (City Hall stop). There is limousine bus service to Incheon, which is nice if you have large bags. If you are traveling in summer or winter though, check to make sure the hotel HVAC is working. The AC was not working when we visited. Luckily it was April and this was not really a problem because of the nice weather. I would check beforehand though. 더 보기

Very comfortable rooms, had everything one needs free wifi, fabulous shower, really nice pillows. Neighborhood is very close to major shopping and transport. Would definitely recommend.
