Good room for the money.

I went to Williamsburg to visit the surrounding area - I'm not one to care for the amenities offered at higher priced hotels. I wanted a place to sleep and shower and watch tv at night. More focus on cleanliness required

The hotel is conveniently located on Richmond Road which offers a lot of places to eat. From McDonalds to Japanese Sushi and all in between. You will have lots of places to dine at. The Hotel is cheap for a reason. Grounds are not kept very well, the place seems to be on its way down in terms of appearance. The staff is very nice, but I am from NY […] so even rude people from VA seem nice :-) The room was OK, it was a standard double. Nothing special. AC worked great. Bathroom was a little small but definitely clean enough. For some reason we didnt get an Iron or Ironing board. If you think about it, you ar enever in the room for too long since you are either at Busch Gardens, Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg, Eating, etc. So with price and quality considered, it was very good. 더 보기

Our room didnt even have matching bedspreads. There was a pile of crumbs when we checked in and it remained there the duration of our stay. The hotel is pretty gross, we checked out a day early...but you get what you pay for

The room was "non-smoking" and reeked of smoke. The continental breakfast was a joke- 1 pot of coffee and 2 kinds of cereal. The furniture had mold on it. The cleaning crew came around in the evening when people were in their rooms. The wi-fi service only worked half the time, the pool had a layer of scum on the top and lastly, there WAS a coffee pot […] in the room. Just no coffee. I would not stay here again. 더 보기

The hotel was not clean at all. The bathroom appeared to not have been cleaned in a long time...there were rings around the tub. The rugs looked like they were not vacuumed properly. Sleeping in the bed left us feeling "itchy." Woke up with bite marks the next day. I only stayed here for a quick 3 day weekend in the Williamsburg area and could barely stand sleeping here for those 3 days. The housekeeping and maintenance both did very poor jobs. The floor was dirty and there was bottle caps and other items near the dresser. The shower had very little pressure and the shower curtain had stains/mold. I could not […] go barefoot anywhere in the room. Around the door was large gaps where light, breezes, and insects could easily get in. The only positive note of this hotel was they were actually thoughtful enough to turn on the AC to cool the room prior to my arrival. I would never stay here again. 더 보기

Hotel needs a good cleaning. Hotel service leaves something to be desired. When our rooms were booked the hotels.com reservationist assured us that all rooms would be on the ground level per our request, and upon arrival no rooms were and we were told our whole party could not be accomodated on the ground level. Nothing great, but a good, clean place to sleep if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room on vacation. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired: two cereals, white bread and chocolate mini-doughnuts.

With it being a 2 star hotel I wasn't expecting much, but I was highly dissappointed for three main reasons. The first reason is the bathroom was not clean. The bathtub was covered in mold and mildew and the shower head would hardly spray for the hard water build up clogging to holes. The second issue was the door to the room next to us. The door frame […] was cracked from where it had obviously been broken into. On our last night the door was shaking and being pounded on and we could hear the people on the otherside playing loud music and laughing. We were afraid that they might break in, it was 2 AM. While this was outside of the owners control, I have a feeling it wouldn't have happened at a 5 star hotel. This brings me to my last main issue. The front desk is not open all night. I had gotten sick from an amusment park and my lunch & dinner came up on the bedsheets. We went to the front desk to get more and found that they were closed. Another issue with them being cloased at night was that when we tried to leave for an all day drive to Atlanta, GA we couldn't checkout early enough to remain on schedule or compain about our new neighbors. There were two good things about staying at this hotel. Firstly, the people that work there were pleasant and gave good service, when you could reach them. And secondly, the hotel is 3 minutes away from a local pizza place (one of the few things open in town past 10pm), it is right down the street from all of the good breakfast places, and is on a good side of town. The two main attractions in town (Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg) are a little distant (about 20 mins for Busch and 10 for CW) but they are easy to get to. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, but if you read my review and find that the good outwiegh the bad, or feel that 'You get what you pay for' then go for it. 더 보기

When we first pulled in I was worried but the room was not as bad as expected. However we did have some inconviences. Bathroom exhaust fan did not work, Linens were clean but by morning was off the mattresses. I will say the hotel room itself was clean. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. Vending machines were locked up at 11 and when you come back from Busch Gardens after 10 that was a problem. Had to run back out to the store. Also be aware there is a Americas Best Value Inn that is where I was trying to stay but didnt realize there is also a […] hotel named Americas Best Inn....oh well next time I will know.
