Evening desk staff was a little inattentive. But besides that I really enjoyed this hotel. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable.

For the price of the rooms, I would have expected more.

What a gem! Yummy cookies, fresh fruit, choice of hot beverages all available in the lobby. Beds comfy and the room was outfitted with everything you could want. There were even paper plates and plastic utensils available for the microwave!

Hotel was super clean and nice, will stay there again

Clean, Top to bottom, you can use your white gloves to see!! Staff is fantastic. See for yourself.

Flew into SLC for a meeting south of town. Found the Country Inn on a number of travel sites - key for me was to be close to the client. This was just 5 miles away. Before I go into what I liked, here's what I LOVED: 1. They provide shuttle service to surrounding neighborhoods - they took us to dinner, picked us up. Took us to our meeting as well. […] Also, and here's the big thing: I had a HORRIBLE COLD (great for flying) - they drove me to a Walgreen's a few miles away, waited while I picked up some cold medicine, tissues and hand sanitizer - and drove me back to the hotel. Loved how considerate they were. Asked if I needed a doctor (yeah, I was that bad), but I declined. Truly appreciated it. What I liked: booking and check in was a breeze Very comfortable king size bed FREE wi-fi throughout the hotel Free breakfast Coffee and WARM COOKIES served throughout the day Comfortable lobby (with fireplace) Nice little gym Little pool and jacuzzi (didn't use, but in a nice setting) What I didn't like: As some other reviewers noted, you're right by the train track. It was kind of cool, but some people could find it annoying. Also I was in the front of the hotel and there were bright lights shining into my room (once curtains were shut, I didn't really notice. The price was a bit steep,but since the hotel fit my needs, I wasn't SO concerned with that. The location, cleanliness, service, etc were all spot on. Didn't have to think about anything once I was checked in, and that's what I like. Even the free breakfast in the morning wasn't bad. Can't beat that. Hotel would have been great except for the heating system. While there is a temperature control the annoyoing fan blows constantly and leaves you very dry in the morning.

Had a quick shoot in Jordan, south of SLC and came to hotels.com to help me make my decision. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great - free internet and newspapers - and the room was clean and comfy. All in all a great stay.

For starters, the hotel itself if great, the staff is friendly and assisting, the rooms are good sized for the price and it's comfortable. In addition to staying at the hotel, I was there for company meetings. There was no notice of any kind that construction or maintenance being done and the second day of my stay there ware noxious fumes the entire […] time. Unacceptable under any conditions when a simple notice, letter or some notification could have been given and better methods of exhausting the fumes outside of the hotel could have been done. While I'm sure that whatever repairs were being done will not last long, I'll not stay at the hotel again. 더 보기

I've stayed at many hotels but this one by far is the best value. The staff was etremely helpful, continential breakfast was better than most, the location was convenient and the rooms were very clean. Will be staying here again on my return trips.

I loved walking into the rooms and seeing the bathroom with fancy folding of the towels, more than the minimum number of towels, towel wipe for shoes, etc, the small bottle of mouthwash and the makeup remover packet - small gestures, yes, but indicative of the extra good care I received there. Breakfast was wonderful too, and not just toast and cereal. […] They even had a rubber mat to put down in the tub to make my husband feel more secure when showering. The staff at this hotel was equal to a staff at a 5star hotel/resort. They all deserve a raise:)

The hotel rooms were comfortable and very clean and updated. The people at the hotel helped us in anyway possible. The cookies and evening reception was more than we expected. The breakfast was not your usual fare, but a wide variety of foods. We would definitely stay there again. Very nice place to stay!!!

Beautiful facility, room was nice and clean, breakfast was great. Wish they would open breakfast on weekends earlier than 7 AM would be my only complaint.

This was a wonderful hotel, with wonderful staff, and a great location. The only bad thing was you could hear a train maybe once or twice a night.

The first time I liked this hotel so much that I booked it again for two more nights - it was clean, staff courteous and helpful, breakfasts were as good as they can get - I am now a member of their chains of hotels.

great clean hotel right off of freeway, easy, practical, free breakfast was better than most paid breakfasts... I took all the Kashi bars for the plane...

I stayed here for location, but it's quiet, clean, good breakfast. FREE wifi! My only complaint is the whole "country theme." I felt it to be ugly, but that is low on my requirements.

This is a very nice and appearently new Country Inn and Suit property. Very professional staff. Nicely appointed rooms and public areas. Very niceb breakfast offering...including oatmael (not instant) which you don't generally find at comporable hotels. This hotel was great for a one night stay with our family. It had a better than average continental breakfast. The room was nothing special, but it was comfortable enough. I wish I would have read more of the reviews on this hotel. Upon arrivial, we noticed there was construction on the railway, right next to the hotel. We checked in, staff was very friendly, room was clean but on the warm side. We heard the first train go bye,,,,, ya it rattled the hotel and blew its horn! The trains have a schedule and they didn't waiver […] from it...even all through the night. So if you are use to trains rattling your place of rest, this would be a great place. It is not for me!!! This motel was easy to find and check-in was fast and friendly. It is near a bunch of restaurants which is always nice after driving all day. We were on the road for two weeks, and while I didn't have any complaints about any of our hotels, this one was the best of them all! Very comfortable beds, breakfast was pretty good for the complimentary kind. […] Everything was clean and seemed new. The lobby is really nice; feels like you're entering a lovely country estate. Only little thing is there are train tracks right behind the hotel so a couple of trains rumbled through while we were there. No train whistles, just some short-lived track noise. There was not one bad thing about this hotel. The staff were very friendly. The room was very clean. The breakfast was more than the typical hotel free breakfast...plenty of choices. The evening social with free wine, beer, soda and light appetizers was so nice after a long day on the road.

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable.I especially liked the four fluffy pillows on each bed Near the lobby is an appealing area with a fireplace to sit and visit or read a book. It reminded me of home. Those at the reception desk were always friendly and helpful

I wasn't expecting much from a stop along the way to Vegas, but this place was very nice. When we checked in there was a complimentary cocktail hour and the breakfast spread was quite extensive. The surrounding area has much to offer for shopping and food. There are also amazing views, which was an added bonus.

We were very pleased with our stay here. The hot cookies on arrival and breakfast were delicious. The staff was kind and helpful.

We stopped here on the way to Moab. It was right off the freeway and next to everything we wanted to do. Like the aquarium and a bunch of wonderful restaurants. We were very pleased with everything. The Pool was warm, which was perfect for our little boys. The beds were comfortable and the pull out couch was wonderful to have for the little ones to […] sleep on. My 14-year old son and I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in March 2011 for 4 days of skiing. The hotel was exactly what I expected: the free breakfast was very good, the room was clean and comfortable, my son loved the 24-hour pool and hot tub, the hospitality room was a nice touch, and my son loved the cookies in the lobby. Hotel is in great condition. Almost new. Other reviews complained about train noise but that was no big deal at all. The noise was from the AC blowing so loud that we had to turn up the TV! This was a great hotel and a great location to go skiing.

Everything was fine, except this hotel is right by the train tracks and no eateries within walking distance. However, they do have a shuttle that can take you to area restaurants. Great service, nice, clean room, but location was the only (small) disappointment.

We specifically booked this hotel for the 24 hour pool and exercise room. The pool was tolerable (too cold) only one night out of three and burned your eyes due to chemicals. The hot tub was foaming, dirty and had way too much chlorine in it. When we asked about the cold pool we were told nobody there could do anything about it. You cannot open the windows to let in fresh air. The hotel was hot and room even hotter. I tried to cool using the AC, but it did not work. Asked the front desk to check AC. No chance

Short drive to Alta/Bird, plenty of restaurant options along the way, social hour at the hotel, indoor pool/jacuzzi for tired muscles after skiing, and all for less than half the price of on-mountain lodgings without risking getting interlodged? SCORE!

All in all this is a great hotel and I would stay there again. There is only one problem and that is the train noise. You would think it would stop after ten at night but it doesn't. It even makes the bed shake. We finally turned on the A/C and it drowned out the noise of the train, but you could still fill the bed shake.
