BEST WESTERN ATHENS - 아테네

I stayed at this hotel the night of April 14th after a bachelorette party in downtown Athens. This hotel is nothing fancy, but definitely got the job done as far as being a clean place to sleep. It is not as close to downtown as I may have liked, luckily a friend dropped us off after a night of celebrating. We walked back to our car the next morning […] though. My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday night for a wedding. The exterior of the hotel is dated, but the room was clean and updated. Bed was very comfortable and room was climate-controlled by a wall thermostat. We walked to downtown, but its' about 3/4 of a mile from the bar scene, and we took a taxi back. the hotel is in the middle of everything in Athens and the price you pay for the room more then makes up for the lack of amenities in the room. we got the jacuzzi tub suite and it wasn't too bad

I was really surprise about the over all room. It was nice and clean, Love my world tub and I will use this hotel in the future.

While being in a less visually appealing area of Athens, the hotel was Surprisingly well maintained and elegant! Will definitely stay there again!

The room was clean and the beds were very confortable. The hotel is in a good location, right across the street from the Varsity Restaurant. It is an older hotel that has been renovated. Friendly staff. Complementary Breakfast has cereal, bagels and breads, coffee and juices. We would stay there again.

Close to everything in Athens and UGA!!! Actually could walk to alot of prime locations. Was clean and comfortable. They were remodeling and updating but was very neat and not cluttered with debris!!!

very pleasant. have stayed here before and was also very pleased that time. i like the location in reference to where and what we were doing that weekend. staff was very pleasant to deal with i would recommend this hotel

This hotel is fine if you just want a clean, no-frills place to stay while in Athens. I used to live in Athens and have actually stayed here in the past-it has been updated and painted and looks pretty good now. I was staying here with my 3 year old daughter for a "girls' weekend" so I got a room with a whirlpool tub. The room was not at all cramped, […] even with a tub in the room, and had a mini-fridge and microwave-great when you're travelling with kids. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is fantastic for walking around-it's on the edge of a historic district with restaurants, bakeries, a food co-op, and lovely tree-lined streets. And is less than a mile from downtown, Normal town and the University, so you can't get a more convenient location (there are some hotels closer to downtown, but the neighborhoods aren't so great.) The only negatives on our stay were 1. The soda and snack machines were all out of order. There was a note saying snacks were for sale in the lobby, but walking back up the steep hill to the office in 85 degrees seemed like too much trouble for a soda, so I just had water! 2. The housekeeping seemed spotty and a little intrusive. We left our room in the morning and when we came back to rest saw that it had been cleaned. So we were resting (somewhat unclothed because of the heat) and housekeeping knocked on the door. I said we were fine and she kept coming back and knocking saying she had washcloths. I finally had to get out of bed, get dressed, go to the door and say "No thank you we're fine!" It was annoying but no big deal. I noticed after that that the whirlpool had not been cleaned that morning. 3. The breakfast-it's your run of the mill hotel breakfast bar. The coffee was pretty bad (very weak, like brown water.) I just keep hoping that hotels would use slightly better quality food. Everything is full of sugar and chemicals (just my personal pet peeve.) They did have hard boiled eggs and toast and fruit though. I just gave my daught 더 보기

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay in while taking my dog to the U of GA for some tests. This hotel was an incredible value for the money. My room was very clean, the bed was more comfortable than most I have stayed in, there was a flat screen TV in the room, a mini fridge, and a small sofa. The carpet appeared new as well as the bedding. […] The bathroom, while small, was well maintained with no obvious damage to the walls or baseboards and the only thing I noticed that was a negative was the shower curtain had some mildew on the inside. Much, much more than I would have expected for the price. The grounds were well maintained and it was a very quick drive to the vet school at the University. If I ever need to return to Athens, I will definitely stay here again. 더 보기

Although I checked in at 3 am, and was expectant of a later check out, but refused, I was still accepting of my conditions. However, at 9 o' clock in the morning, housekeeping decided to bang on my hotel door and try to barge in. Scared, and not aware of the time and thinking I slept in past my alarm, I asked her what time check out was. She responded […] with 11 'o clock, and I told her that's when we were going to be checking out. Oblivously to my remark, she came back to the door banging on it at 10:15 am. When I told her I'd be checking out at 11, she still came back knocking on my door at 10:50. Infuriated, I complained to the front desk, and no action was taken, or feelings of sympathy. my only complaint is the water pressure in basin was very low, other than that, i have stayed at this hotel before due to it's location. Close to UGA campus with plenty of parking.

It was my first time staying at a Best Western and was only in town for one night in Athens. I reserved a King room and was told at check in that the person staying in it didn't want to leave, so I was given a double - no discount for the change just an off the cuff 'thanks for being a pal' comment. The carpet was missing in some places, stained in […] others. Toilet was broken. Towels were stained. The place was insanely loud and I didn't get any rest. The rate was cheap - but you get what you pay for - I will never stay in a Best Western again! 더 보기

Place was convenient. No great amenities. Staff was wonderful!. Breakfast was acceptable. Quality of soap poor-very harsh and broke out in terrible rash! Bed was very uncomfortable. Only stayed the extra nights because the price was lowest for area and quality. Overall, would possibly stayed again.

This hotel had great rates and was located really close to downtown. Staff was courtous and very helpful. Would definately stay here again. :)
