더 벨프리 호텔 (The Belfry Hotel) - 슈톤 콜드 필드

Having had a very lonfg day following a long drive up from London, it was an osais for relaxation. beautiful surrounding views and lovely staff polite and informative.

Good hotel conveniently located close to the M42. Room was well furnished and comfortable, however there was a very old television in the room which transmitted a poor signal. Good gym facilities.

Excellent location have stayed a number of times, service and staff well trained all are requirements met, the hotel however is in need of some refurbishment looking tired especially in the public areas, maybe new owners will address this, let us hope the courses are not showing the same neglect.

Staff were excellent in general,breakfast wasn't great and the hotel is very tired!!!! Waited 1 hr 20 min for the broken ironing board in my room to be replaced!!! Only part of service that was poor. Go for the golf because it is exceptional BUT you'll have to put up with the hotel!!!!!

What a shame that the Belfry is now a very tired hotel in need of refurbishment to take it back to the levels of the past. Frayed carpets and tired furnishings and decoration. Not a patch on the standards of service and decor from the time when it was owned by Devere.

I'd been wanting to stay here for along time, despite the fact that I'm a non-golfer (shhh!) mainly because of the reputation presented by the golf tournaments that are held here. Its all a bit tatty though...the public areas are either bling like the Atrium restaurant, or dingy and very very tired like Sam's Bar and the one at the other end of the […] building. Carpets and doors are scuffed, lifts are slow and creaky with buttons that don't work, furniture is worn out and just , erm, tatty. The place was pretty empty when I was there - in fact there were three people, including me, eating in Sam's Bar...no wonder, as that was probably the least inspiring Chili Con Carne I have had anywhere...terrible. The other choices were a carvery (why?) or the 'French Restaurant'.....either way, it wasn't going to be a peaceful evening. Maybe my view was affected by the 'media company event' that was pounding away in the Warwick Suite until gone midnight, right outside my (and I suspect everyone else in the building's) window. I had a job interview the following morning so I called to ask for a room switch to the other side of the corridor at least but all that I could be offered was "a room a bit further down", or one "directly above the music". No explanation and frankly they weren't really bothered....'computer says no' syndrome. So, after all the anticipation over the years it was all a bit rubbish really........definitely would not stay there again and would find it hard to recommend it to anyone else, even a golfer! 더 보기

We stayed at teh Belfry hotel for 3 nights for a family wedding. The hotel was excellent, from the rooms to the food and staff. The wedding was well organised and everything went really well. I have a one of the treatments, back massage which was lovely and relaxing. I would recommend this hotel and will certainly go back, possibly for a girl's weekend […] - shopping in Birmingham and then a lovely stay at the hotel. 더 보기

I have stopped at the Belfry before, and have, and still find it a very special place to stay. My party of ladies were going to see Take That the evening we stopped at the hotel, and were delighted with the staff, and services. The deal which I managed from Hotel.com - was superb, and made the whole two days very special. Thank you Sheila

A great location, if you are a golfer, exceptionally well maintained courses, plenty of bars and restaurants, was a bit disappointed with the guests tho, tended to be a lot of hen nights, stag weekends, not the sort of thing we imagined it to be. Thought it might be a little bit more upmarket.

Needs a make over. Rooms were not the best considering how much you pay for them. Without the Golf Courses I think the Hotel would be shut down due to lack of business. Our room was right above a wedding which I was told would finish at Midnight - try 3:00 O'Clock. Phoned several times - no joy! Was not happy.

Spent a very comfortable night at The Belfry, as I was attending a wedding at the nearby Middleton Hall. Our check-in was prompt and efficient and hotel staff arranged for a taxi to collect to take us to the wedding venue. Our room was spacious and clean with a good powerful shower, excellent TV and good furnishing and comfy bed. Breakfast was served […] until 11pm which I thought was very "civilised" as we returned to hotel quite late. The food was excellent with a large choice of continential and english breakfast items. The quality was excellent and I have to admit to one too many journeys to the breakfast buffet. Att checkout time, which as expected was busy, a member of staff was asking guests who had no extra charges for their key cards and we did not need to queue. Big hotel (my room was a good 5 minute walk from reception) and felt very busy, but good quality and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Got lost twice looking for rooms and bars, despite the map they give you at reception and I was not the only one. Excellent place to stay if you like golf

For us a most convenient situation, not far from the NEC. We were able to combine business with pleasure with a game of golf. We had one slight problem with the room which was immediately dealt with by very efficient and friendly staff. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The Belfry is a nice hotel with good facilities but many of the rooms are quite "tired" now. The service is good and the restaurants certainly live up to the standarad you would expect. For a golf trip I would highly recommend it....for anything else I think you may be better served elsewhere.
