I booked this hotel because it is listed as having separate showers from the baths. It took four rooms to find one that had this. Bed was like a lump of rocks. Food was appalling and the cheese platter tasted only or refrigerator. Television would not turn off. At four AM there was a massive fight in the hallway that went on for 15 minutes without management […] seeming to care. At check-out I was told the manager would get in touch with me. She never did. I would suggest you avoid this place. Sheffield is a beautiful city and it is a shame it has this horrible hotel as a dark blemish. 더 보기

A good location down town and close to all major amenities. Ten minutes from the M1. Helpful staff and friendly surroundings. Restaurant a little over priced.

Hotel in excellent location to go out & about in Sheffield. Good bars & restuarant withing easy walking distance. I stayed here for buisness but found everything satisfactrou, would definately recommend to others.

Really, all I needed was a clean and convenient overnight stop as I paused on a journey further north. This hotel was both of those things, but it was an absolute pleasure to stay there as well - incredibly friendly and helpful staff, brilliant location for exploring the city centre a little (and right next to the Millenium Gallery) and a very quiet, […] clean and extremely comfortable room. over all stay was good although dissapointed as no one asked if i enjoyed my stay cos was disturbed in the night by what think was group of boys running up and down corridors about 3 am makin lots of noise which woke us up

I chose this hotel partly because it had so many awful reviews and I wanted to experience it for myself. The staff were extremely helpful, the room was fine, looked a bit dated, but comfy. The location was fantastic. Didn't eat or drink there so can't coment on that. Would definitely stay again.

Great hotel, clean and helpful staff, only downside is you have to pay £8 per day for carparking.

We enjoyed our stay here, we were welcome in a very friendly way and check in was very swift but made us aware of the hotel facilities and that we could book a taxi from reception for our evening our later. The room was well appointed with an iron and ironing board which having traveled by train for a formal function with a suit carrier was very useful, […] I am seeing mroe and more hotels with communal ironing rooms which can be a pain to find. The hotel was well positioned within easy walking distance of the station despite the rain and is adjacent to the shopping area which is very convenient. The bar is well stocked with some decent wines and a selection of malt whiskeys. Check out was painless and we were asked if we enjoyed our stay and they were happy to hold our bags after we checked out until our train left. 더 보기

Nice hotel. Good location. Reasonable parking and decent food. Only downside was a limited number of TV channels but on the whole would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed at Novotel, Sheffield for one night in October 2011. We were seeing a theatre production at the Crucible and chose Novotel as it was reasoanbly priced and close to the theatre. We booked a superior double room but we think were put into a standard room (it had no sofa bed or fancy toiletries as advertised). However, it was still […] quite spacious and clean, so we couldn't really be bothered to complain. Aside from the room, the location of the hotel is simply fantastic. It's right next to the fantastic Winter Garden and Peace Gardens and all the various restaurants and coffee shops. This is a fairly quiet area where you can just mooch away the hours and have a bit of relaxation time to yourself. We didn't sample the restaurant, bar or swimming pool, so can't comment on those other than to say the bar looks very smart, although it stops serving at 11pm and closes at midnight (very early!). We went to Silversmiths (a very good restaurant just across the road) and then went to a coffee shop for breakfast rather than pay £17 each for a full English breakfast in the hotel. The only reason I haven't given five stars is the mistake with our room (not a biggie, though), the early closing bar and the exorbitant price of breakfasts. Having said all that, all in all, if you're looking for a hotel in a great location in the centre of Sheffield, then I couldn't recommend this hotel enough! You cannot imagine my relief after a nightmare public transport journey from NW Scotland, to see the welcome sign of Novotel as soon as I stepped out of the railway station. The staff were consistently welcoming throughout my stay, lending me a mobile phone charger and being genuinely cheerful. The hotel is particularly convenient for the registry office […] where I was taking a part in my best friend's ceremony and also easy to find for other friends who were giving me lifts. Breakfast was a very relaxed affair, the staff coping with both large groups and single people like myself. The choice of food at breakfast was excellent - I treated myself to scrambled agg and smoked salmon on my second day. My room was spacious and comfortable. I have stayed in many large hotels as part of my work as a business consultant, but have never found the staff to be so welcoming as here in Sheffield. 더 보기

Very convenient, near the station and in the heart of the city. Laura on Reception was great. Rooms are comfortable, bed v soft, and everything worked fine. Internet overpriced, of course, as is breakfast which i didn't have. Small, nice pool, and a good place for a city stay.

Overall a very good hotel, in an excellent location, 5 minutes walk from the railway station and next to the peace and winter gardens. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of good quality food. However the bed was very creaky and the carpet looked quite worn and marked.

Clean hotel,proper breakfast with food variety. Shower cabin with mold though.(A bit disappointed).

Hotel is ok friendly staff, swiming pool small but ok the changing rooms on the other hand is was like changing in a broom cupboard. Hotel room was very dark and had to keep the lights on when it was nice and sunny outside.Breakfast was nice ,but can't understand why these so called "Big Hotels" charge for parking on top £8 per night.

Stayed here for a football match the following day. Convenient for shops and not too far from the stadium. Great deal on room & breakfast (friday) and will stay here next time

Located right in the city centre, ideally located for everything. Check in staff were helpful. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. Staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Nice Hotel BUT 1. Very soft bed 2. they get you on the parking £8.00 a day! 3. Great Size room 4. Breakfast was cold and tasted old. Hilton, down the road is better, and free parking.

A novotel is a novotel but this one is right in the city centre, so close to everything. Staff were very helpful - the TV remote was missing from our room but a replacement was found within 10 mins of asking. Even managed to get the car in the hotel car park - just!

Nice,new clean hotel with gym,the only con is expensive car park.I don't think parking should be charged at the hotel (£8 per day a bit painful).Haven't tried their breakfast so no comments in regards to that...

The Hotel was excellent and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Sheffield. Its very central and handy for everything. The secure parking is great. Sheffield is a fabulous City and we can't wait to go back again.

The hotel was in a very convenient location for our needs. The superior room we booked for 4 of us (2 adults, 2 young children) was small but clean and sufficient for our 2 night weekend stay. No DVD player which was disappointing. City Centre, restaurants and amenities all close by. Car parking at the hotel was limited, but spaces were available at […] the Q-Park next to the hotel and was subsidised. Breakfast was OK, a fair choice but some choices, like the continental selection, looked a little sad. The hotel pool was closed for refurbishment which was disappointing as we didn't know this when we booked the hotel and was one of the reasons why we wanted to stay there. However Ponds Forge was a 5 minute walk away. Overall a pleasant stay. 더 보기

THE NOVOTEL SHEFFIELD COULD NOT BE IN A BETTER LOCATION RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF SHEFFIELD. WE STAYED FOR ONE NIGHT THE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND THE VIEW WAS GREAT. ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST WAS SUPERB. I WOULD RATE THIS HOTEL AS THE BEST CITY HOTEL WE HAVE STAYED IN. WOULD GO BACK ANYTIME.

I have stayed in many hotels in sheffield, and if you want a good nights sleep then novotel is one of the best hotels for this. As it has a front door to the room and a secondary door to keep the noise out, which is useful when you need to be up early if you have young children! The location is great as it is in the city centre and you can walk to most […] places or catch a tram / bus anywhere else. Its also easy to drive to either side of sheffield from here. It also has a swimming pool. I now always stay here as if you book earley enough you can get a good rate including breakfast. However the only downside to this hotel is Parking on site is limited, and is approx. £7 a day (as of the date of my stay) even if you park in the hotel car park. Its been this rate as long as i can remember. They give you a Q-park voucher which is also approx £7 to park but is off site if you cant get your car in the hotel car park. I dont think this is fair when the other hotels offer the same price rooms and quality such as Holiday Inn and Hilton include free parking. 더 보기

great location, nice rooms, friendly staff. only downside is temperature of room, baking in december & we needed a fan!!

On arrival al seemed ok. Booked into De-Lux Superior room with Queen Bed and Sofa bed double. Moved to another room that had a double sofa bed & called manager to come up to room. The room was not clean, there was pubic hairs on toilet floor, bath not cleaned, chewing gum on carpet, stains on bedding. We were meant to have robes, slippers & newspapers […] (none of these were there and had to ask). Moved to another room, robes provided no newspaper. The room did not look delux or superior infact it looked liked a 2 star room. Swimming pool changing rooms were flithy, no bags to put costumes in after, no water in machine. I would not book there again. So all in all, moved rooms 3 times and all looked flithy. Spolit my time in Sheffield, there for my sons gradution. 더 보기

This hotel is in an extremely convenient and wonderful area, which made my experience overall above satisfactory. However, I experienced power outages in my room multiple times and there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Hadde en kjempefin natt på Novotel i Sheffield. Servicen var kjempefin, og frokosten var ekstra hyggelig! Kjempefin beliggenhet og veldig hyggelig rengjøringspersonale.
