Not sure what the hotel rates itself but would only consider this a 3.5 star hotel at a push. Booked a family room which was grouped to together with rooms 301-310 and be prepared for the walk... not very suitable if you have a push chair! up the lift, down 2 long corridors, up some stairs the down another long corridor and then another lift! the quality […] of the breakfast was average and had to wait over 20mins to get a table in the morning! The rooms themselves are comfortable apart from the sagging sofa bed... there's next to nothing in terms of toiletries just the a soap & shower gel dispenser and the shower... oh dear... is one of the worse I have experienced in a UK hotel. Absolutely no power or force, very much like a old electric shower dribbling out! And after all that.. not cheap either!! 더 보기

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable but as we were above the restaurant there was constant noise from the music played there. Food was very nice. Gym and pool were fairly busy as they appear to have many non-residents as guests - but very well equipped. No view from the one very small window. Good location but disappointed that they do not supply better toiletries. Rooms very hot and heard a lot of guests complaining about the heat in the rooms. When had windows open were woken up every morning at approx 3am by bin cleaners?? not sure who they were but very noisy. We have stayed several times a year for several years now but recent addition of Starbucks in the entrance creates noise and confusion for hotel guests. It seems to be aimed at local people/gym members as a meeting place. Car park is especially busy as a result. 4 of us stayed 2 nights. the evening meal wasnt the best presented or cooked we have had and on the 2nd night we had to return 2 sundae ice creams AS THEY WE JUST OVER FROZEN BASIC ICECREAM WITH NO SAUCES. FOR £5,23 DEFINATELY NOT VALUE FOR MONEY.

Great value although parking can be difficult

Good location. Parking can be a awkward due to the popular leisure facilities.

This is one of my favourite hotels to stay in when working away. Everything is spot on and the gym is top quality.

Its nice but require more attention to overall maintenance, loose stair case handles, decorating needs touching up and oncec away from reception its presentation drops. However for the money not a bad place to stay. Walls are very thin, can hear conversations and televisions, and heavy doors slamming early morning are a pain.

On 2nd night must have had an insomniac in the next room as he/she/they had the TV on for most of the night making it impossible to sleep through without been woken when the sound went up during programmes. Good breakfast. good bar but pricey, good evening meals as extras. Excellent swimming pool, sauna, steam room.

The room was very clean but lacked basic toiletries, tissues and soap which we had to ask to be replaced. Tv options were minimal. Breakfast was varied although the quality of food was not the best. Also, the chairs were heavily stained and dirty. The Men's changing room for the spa was musty smelling and Jacuzzi wasn't working. Service was good […] and always with a smile. Pool and Gym were great - well kept and everything you are likely to need. Hotel was more average, spacious - but lots of finishing touches missing - thin walls so you could hear everything in the next room and also noise from downstairs. Wifi was ABYSMAL!! Lobby, bars and restaurant all very nice, as you then go upstairs hotel looks a little tired. Also provides a TV with external inputs for dvd players or games console etc, but they don't give you the facility to use them!? Strange!!

The Hotel Staff were all very knowledgible and extremely helful, and very pleasant. The rooms and amenities were all very good. We had a pleasant short break with them

Good hotel located just outside of Leeds . Friendly staff with good facilities . Dinner was well presented and breakfast was a good buffet.

Great facilities, lovely breakfast, good price and idea location.

Fantastic value and great location. Watch out for the many speed cameras on the local roads as you approach. Other than that, fantastic.

I love this hotel! every time im in leeds i stay here, hotel is top quality, staff are really nice, really clean, breakfast is amazing and the gym is top quality! it even has a squash court if you like playing! perfect!

The staff were extremely pleasant & helpful.The room was an excellent size & the bed very comfortable.The double glazed window let quite a draft in so we kept the curtains shut,it was also a little mouldy.The room was clean but could have been better round skirtings etc.The breakfast was really enjoyable but the wait for a table & then for fried eggs&,bacon […] was a pain.We ate the 2 for £29 evening meal & were completely happy with it.The drinks seemed a little expensive.There is ample parking & regular buses from the bus stop near the entrance to the hotel into town.A day special is cheaper than a return.We would definately stay at the de Vere again. 더 보기

Great hotel for families - swimming pool excellent, family rooms a great size (5 of us), breakfasts good. 20 minute bus ride to centre of town from right outside hotel. Good choice of food in hotel in evening although fairly expensive. Make sure you do the kids meal deal for dinner as free drinks for them all night!

,We chose this hotel as we travel to Leeds by train and this is on a convenient bus route (no. 6 we used) both from Leeds city centre and also from our son who lives off the Otley Road in Cookridge. The bus stop is just outside the door. We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely food both at the dinner we had there and also the variety and quality […] of the breakfasts. We found the reception staff and the waiters friendly and helpful; they even gave us breakfast when we turned up 15 minutes after closing time! Our only problem was the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms as we were very hot at night and could only open the window a little way on the safety catch. Although the hotel hosts wedding parties etc. we did not find noise a problem. The big bonus was the lovely big indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. We would certainly stay again and would recommend it to others. 더 보기

Good hotel, i have stayed in several Village hotels now and the standrds seem to be the same in all of them. Leeds Village is comfortable and I had no problems at all

The only thing i kind of found strange, was that I got a room for disabled. I really didnt think that this were quite comfertable. Even if I could have a small laugh at it, I would prefer to get a room without handle bars and alarms on my room. But its a nice Hotel and I would recomend it!

We had a family room on the 2nd floor, directly above a large party / disco, which went on until 1pm. Not great for the our sleeping kids. But if that's the sort of function the hotel holds at weekends, we will not staying there again! The room was ok, but felt very similar to a travellodge. There was no Aircon in the room, and even though it was […] May, it was unbearably warm. Opening the window only increased the noise, and a bin lorry with a 4am bottle recycling expedition didnt help the cause. Walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything in the corridoor. A poor night sleep, and we therefore couldn't be bothered to use the pool in the morning, so cannot comment on how good they were. Nevertheless, we were told that kids could not access the pool until 9am, which would have been a shame if we had wanted to go. Breakfast was lovely, though there was a massive queue to get in. Sorry, but can't reccomend this hotel. We will be seeking other hotels for our stays in the area in future, and I'm afraid to say that a decent Travellodge would be better! 더 보기

Typical for a Village hotel. Nice, clean & comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the bar food but we were very disappointed with the standard of the restaurant. The walls aren't very thick and far from sound-proof, so the noise of people returning from parties late and night disturbed us a little. Bar prices were high, as expected for a hotel. Hi I really liked it here, risked the carvary as only place to get food and really liked it. Unfortunate that a fire alarm went off and got me up at 06:30 ish and outside for fifteen minutes Brrrrr too cold standing around. However, I liked it here not too much up themselves, pleased to help.

I have stayed at a number of hotels by this chain and this one is by far the best. The service was fantastic with very friendly staff. It had a parking in abundance which was ideal.

Went to see family in Leeds, and it turned out the hotel was within a 10 minute walk. Kids loved the pool and the breakfast buffet so want to know when they can go back. They were a little disappointed that the bedroom slippers were only adult sizes....that was the only downside of the stay. Reception, Room, Breakfast and Leisure Centre staff could […] not have been more helpful and friendly, we will definitely go back. Leisure facilities really great, and there were a choice of 2 restaurants, ideal on a budget, or more relaxed stay. Location great as early morning next day flight from Leeds Bradford Airport. The rom was very comfortable & clean & tidy. We used the bar to eat in & you could get a burger & chips for £2.00 each along with other meal & drink deals. There was local quiz/entertainment & the leisure facilities, although we didn't use personally looked good. I hate writing hotel reviews because everyones expectations are different. I would recommend the Rajput takeaway (2 pizzas for £7) and the Original Oak pub (2 meals for £5.50) which are a very short drive away on the main road. The hotel was okay, the pool area was large but not tranquil, it was very gym like, so if you want to go there to relax i […] would reconsider and choose a Marriot or something like that. Some updating could be done to the pool area. Rusty signs and discoloured tiling etc. The room was okay, just not luxurious. The bedding could do with updating/renewing. LCD TV, Sky sports 1,2,3. Good music channels. No pay per view. Room service closed at 10pm. Overall for the price i paid it was an excellent choice. The bar and grill was okay to have a beer, although i wouldnt dine there as it is expensive. The Verve grill do an early bird menu 3 courses for £10 something like that, which looked reasonable, but again choose from the many nearby pubs for a better deal. The breakfast choice was good. Choose from a fry up, to toast, to cereal, fruit and pastries etc. I liked that the hotel was set away from the road, so it was very peaceful and there was no road noise at all. The service at Village Inn Leeds (North) was excellent. The staff have a 'can do' attitude and are endlessly helpful, cheerful and prepared to go the extra mile for their guests. We stayed during a very busy week, with many Christmas events, weddings, conferences etc., but the willingness to do their best at all times shone through and we were met […] every day with smiles and friendly gestures. With pool, gym, nice restaurant and bar it's ideal for me as a lone business traveller, but would also be ideal for families, couples and groups of friends. Unfortunately the only thing that lets the hotel down is the service in the restaurant at dinner where it seems to be all young inexperienced staff who are very lacking in customer relations skills […] They did seem to be short staffed, but this is now a common theme in a few Village Hotels I have stayed. The stay was pleasant, one seasonal exception was that every night had a christmas event in the function room and towards the end of the evening 11pm the doors were open and everything could be heard in our room. This also applied to bar singers/events.
