This was a nice hotel with good amenities. Location was just a block from Goya Metro stop, lots of shops and short wark to Retiro Park. Thin walls and very noisy at all hours of the night though unfortunately when I was there.

The front desk staff was great, friendly and helpful, allowing us an extra hour after checkout without any additional cost and stored our bags for us while we toured around the neighbourhood before our evening train. The restaurant was pretty, but the menu offered very little for vegetarians so we decided to order pizza to the room. Big mistake! It […] was terrible, premade and frozen, then reheated. We asked for one different from those listed on the menu and were told it was not possible as they were not freshly made. Should've decided against them right then and there as they arrived burned AND soggy. Not sure how that's even possible, but it happened. The room itself was a little awkward with a long hall and windows that opened looking into other rooms just feet away. The tv was broken when we arrived, but maintenance came and fixed it quickly. The bathroom was ugly, with old tile and in terrible need of remodelling. There was mold in the shower and rust in the sink. The staff was so very attentive and spoke English. The room was small, a typical European hotel room, but clean. The area it is in, Goya, is in a perfect spot near the metro and you can walk most places within 30 minutes. The breakfast was decent. Great localtion! right between H&M and Aldo! A block away from the corte ingles! 3 blocks away from the Retiro park where you can go for a run in the mornings! Great great location and value for a quick stint in madrid! Very close to great restaurants! I got a tiny room because i went by myself, however it was comfortable. Double rooms are bigger.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. It is in a really good location and Madrid is a very easy city to navigate and get around. The free wi-fi was great as well as having a printer connected to a computer in the library so you could print your plane boarding pass.

Everything was rather ok except for the noise from the room above ( and ours was on the 8th floor ): it was not an isolated case because we are dealing here with paper-thin walls and floors. The Vincci SoMa is a wonderful place to stay in Madrid. It is right next to a Metro stop, the room was very nice and spacious, the staff was courteous and accommodating and it's in a great location, walkable to many major sites of the city. Although we only stayed there one night, I would definitely go back and stay there again!

Not a 5 only because I am sure there are nicer hotels in madrid. But our stay was wonderful. Great area right in the heart of the shopping in salamanca. Great staff...friendly and helpful and spoke English too. Our room was big (note it was a handicap room) and clean. There was a safe in the closet, stereo and tv. Shower was tiny but clean.

The hotel has, since changing owners, sowly decaying. The room we had this time did not have the sound system. We were told that, as they break, the systems are beying removed and not replaced. Cleaning of the rooms was noisy (the rooms have wooden floors wihout carpets) and we were woken up twice by the process going on upstairs and to the side. Clean hotel with some modern shopping close by. It is a subway ride away from most tourist sites such as the Palace Real and Prado, not really walking distance. However, the subway is a cake walk and is innexpensive. Our room was very dark, but was comfortable.

whilst a modern, conveniently located hotel, there were also drawbacks. There is a nightclub next door that plays loud music tuesday to saturday and certain rooms in the hotel mean that at night it is noisy. the room is nice and the gym is a nice touch, the breakfast was yummy.

Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. About a 3 minute walk to a major mall that has a supermarket. Location was very safe and encountered no problems in the area. Conveniently accessible by subway but rarely used it since major areas are walking distance.

Vincci SoMa is in the Salamanca neighborhood that has fantastic shopping and good tapas to choose from. The metro station is on the same block as are multiple banks for cash withdrawal. The room was bright, clean, and comfy with boutique hotel style and the price was absolutely right.

I have one big complaint about Hotel VincciSoMa, and that is the noise of machinery from the interior patios. I was woken at 7 on a Saturday morning by the very loud vibrating sound of an engine (industrial freezer?) which went on for 2 hours, stopped for 30 mins, then started again. I rang reception and asked for a change of room, which was effected […] immediately; however, at midnight the next night another kind of machine (underground garage ventilation?) started up which I could only mask by switching on the heating fan in the room.
