This hotel is a convenient place for staying in Paris. It had an okay breakfast included, but everything about the hotel was very good.

Great location, comfortable hotel, very Friendly and clean. Would stay there again.

The hotel is located within easy walking distance of Versailles and near several good restaurants as well. The breakfast was a good value for the price.

We stayed for 2 nights and found the Mercure at Place Vendome a great location as a base for seeing all the sights in Paris. The room was small, but not too small, with safe, tea making facilities, TV and a decent sized bathroom with separate toilet. There was sufficient hanging space, drawers and shelf space in the wardrobe and enough hangers for two […] people. One morning we took breakfast downstairs which was the usual continental options and expensive unless you have a bit of everything to get your money's worth. The atmosphere down there wasn't great - very quiet with a member of staff stood watching over you. I would eat out, as there are several good options very close by. There's a lift although it's tiny and only fits 2 people at a time with luggage. There's no real lounge or social area - just a few chairs in the reception area. The people on reception were reasonably welcoming and were happy to store luggage when we arrived too early to check in, and after we checked out as we had a late flight home. My overall experience at this hotel was wonderful. Location-wise, it is situated very near a metro station (abt 100m to metro Pyramide), 20-40m from the up-market Place Vendome and Rue Saint-Honore and about 400m from Blvd Haussmann and the general shopping area that surrounds this famous street. Opposite the hotel itself along the same street are several […] standard French cafes, a great trendy sit in/take away establishment and an Eric Kayser outlet, so it's really in a great location. They serve a continental breakfast, which is enjoyable. I had two problems: customer service and 2 room-related malfunctions. While, I was there, the room hair dryer had a short-circuit problem, so it would work on and off, but that's a minor issue. The more serious malfunction involved the room's main entrance door. It would refuse to open whenever I fed my card into it and as a result, I had to constantly contact the front desk to ask to be let into my room using their master card. This started from the first day of my stay and the staff said they would look to fix the problem, but it persisted right up until my last day. This is plain frustrating and could limit your movements if you always have to ask front desk to let you in after you've stepped out. Generally, customer service was average and staff seemed unwilling to go the extra mile for customers, but this shouldnt take away from the fact that the hotel has an amazing and charming ambience to it that I haven't found anywhere else. My room (double bed) was an absolute pleasure to be in. It was clean, spacious, comfortable and somewhat homely. Provided in the room is a flat screen HD TV for those who may want to catch up on some French television but perhaps the hotel should consider adding more English language channels other than BBC. 더 보기

We stayed 5 nights at the Mecure Stendhal Place Stendhal from 7/23/11 to 7/29/11. This is at best a 2 star hotel, not the 4 star that is advertised. First - the good - our rooms were clean, although the carpet and paint had not been updated for a very long time. Also, the location is excellent for touring and is easy walking distance to the Louvre, […] Orsay, and Opera. However, services at the hotel were pretty much nonexistent. The "lobby" is a room approximately 10' x 12'. Although there is a computer in the lobby, it is not connected to the internet. The "front desk" consist of a table just inside the front door manned by a guard. (THe guards were very nice) There are no other visible employees. Our AC was broken. It worked the first night, making a lot of noise. After that, it did not cool. Although we had daily housecleaning, there was no housekeeping department. There was no concierge desk, no room service, no laundry, and wi-fi was spotty. The pictures shown on the website are either very old, or have been touched up. We did not believe they accurately depicted the condition of the hotel. I do not mean to sound pretentious in describing the lack of service. Had the hotel been described as a 2 star, it would be a reasonably good place to stay. I just would like to be sure no one else is expecting a 4 star experience. 더 보기

Great little boutique hotel, in an awesome location. Blocks from Louvre, Tulleries, and Opera house. Really nice neighborhood near the Ritz with many high end designer stores and great places to eat nearby. Very helpful and friendly staff, especially Stephen who works the desk at night. This hotel is in a great location near the Louvre, Tulleries and La Opera. Nice clean hotel, rooms are rather small. Breakfast is served but be warned that it is extra 18 euros per day unless your reservation specifically includes it.

We thought this hotel was great - relatively inexpensive, well located, free wifi. The room was pretty big for Paris. The bathroom was also large but the shower was the kind that doesn't have a full door so the floor gets wet. Otherwise everything was great. It's a beautiful little hotel in a swank neighborhood, close to the Louvre, Les Halles, Comedie Francaise, the big department stores and the Roissy airport bus. A very helpful and friendly staff, fluent in English. I especially appreciated the noon check-in policy and the ample breakfast buffet included.

The position of this hotel is great as right by the Opera metro stop which is incredibly central ... the staff were all very friendly and unassuming which made for such a calm and stressfree stay with them ... the room was spacious and very comfortable with a separate toilet and wardrobe as you entered then another door into the bedroom which was light […] and well set out with everything you would need ... the bathroom was spotless and all was cleaned every day with fresh towels, bed made, bins emptied etc which was excellent! Nothing was too much trouble and info on directions and help with our sightseeing was freely given ... our trip home was in the evening so our bags were labelled and kept by reception which was so helpful and professionally organised ... we really can't say enough good things about the Mercure Stendhal Place Vendome! 더 보기

The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. It was so homely. We really felt at home here. No matter what we asked the staff to do they did it with a smile on their face. We will go back to Paris and will definately stay in this hotel again.

Hotellet hadde god komfort og bra beliggenhet. Jeg ble imidlertid skuffet da jeg skulle gjøre meg kjent med nødutgangene. De var blokkert/sperret av bord og stoler, og jeg tørr ikke tenke på hva som ville skjedd om det var tilløp til brann og/eller røykutvikling. Personalet tok motvillig affære når jeg påpekte tilstanden.

Litet hemtrevligt hotel med trevlig personal. Nära till allt i lugnt område.

Hvis man gerne vil bo på et mindre og samtidig meget charmerende hotel midt i Paris, er Mercure Stendhal Place Vendome det perfekte valg. Beliggenheden er fantastisk i et roligt kvarter i gå afstand til Louvre, L´Opera og gode shopping muligheder. Mange gode restauranter og cafeer i nabolaget. Værelserne er rene og pæne, og morgenmaden er rigtig god, […] med et venligt og serviceminded personale. Fra Charles De Gaulle lufthavnen kan det stærkt anbefales at tage Roissy lufthavnsbussen til l`Opera: Det er billigt og tager ca. 40-50 min. afhængig af trafikken. Ligger super centralt i en rolig sidegade. Hyggeligt hotel med rummeligt værelse i god stand. Få minutter fra metro. Rossybussen fra lufthavnen stopper ca 5 mins derfra, så kan anbefales at snuppe den istedet for tog+metro. Flere hyggelige cafeer på hotellets gade.

Friendly, englishspeaking staff. Room very quiet and clean. Good location.

En av de ansatte i resepsjonen tilbød å skaffe taxi til "fixed" pris til flyplass. Han tilbud var ca 30 euro dyrere enn å ta en vanlig taxi. Styr unna slike tilbud.

Beliggenheden er årsagen til at dette hotel er et 4 stjernet hotel. Det ligger super centralt i gå afstand til mange serværdigheder, og tæt på metroen. Standarden var ok. Selve værelset var lidt slidt og gammelt, men badeværelset var rigtig fint og der blev gjort fint rent. Der var dejlig roligt om aftenen og det er et af de mere stille kvarterer. Atendimento muito bom. Pessoal muito gentil. Localização excelente. Fiz todo o meu roteiro do primeiro dia a pé. Louvre, Tuileries, Concorde, Madeleine,..até o Arco do Triunfo. Perto do Metrô, muito fácil pra quem nunca andou por Paris. E o final do ônibus q leva ao Aeroporto Charles de Gaulle é na Ópera, a uma quadra do Hotel, o que foi muito importante […] para mim com toda aquela bagagem! O quarto é bem confortável, tamanho bom, tem duas sacadas pra rua, mas esperava um quarto mais 'novinho' pelas imagens que vi na homepage. As duas poltronas estavam rasgadas o que pareceu um pouco de desleixo na apresentação do quarto. Mas foi bem tranquilo.. gostei de ter ficado lá e ficaria de novo. 더 보기

Veldig sentralt hotel med gåavstand til Louvre museet, Champs elysees, mange gode restauranter og shopping. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Selv om hotellet var bra, forsvarte det alikevel ikke 4 stjerner.

Première impression, chambre assez petite pour le prix, lit très confortable et fenêtre sur cour intérieure sans aucun bruit ! Par contre hors de question de rester dans le quartier pour boire un verre, quartier de luxe hyper cher. Avis général = un peu cher pour la taille de la chambre et 4 étoiles non justifié.. mais bon, une fois la note digérée […] tout va bien ! 더 보기

Hotel très calme et situé en plein centre de Paris. Notre chambre était très calme car donnant sur une cour. La décoration de la chambre très sobre mais chaleureuse. La salle de bains mériterait d'avoir une vraie douche et non une baignoire avec un pare-douche pas très efficace. Bon room service, très ponctuel pour le petit-déjeuner.
