I have generally had good experiences with Microtel, but this is definitely one to avoid. The outside of the hotel looks fine and it is convenient to BWI (next to a number of other airport hotels, corporate offices and chain restaurants), but that is where the positives end. The common areas are somewhat beat-up and the hallways are dingy. The furniture […] in the room was worn and filthy. The TV is mounted in such a way that the remote control does not work while reclining in bed. The entire place had nasty chemical cleaner smell. Where fixtures had been updated, you could tell the installation was pretty slipshod. Just when we thought it couldn't get much worse, we found a large beetle crawling across the bathroom floor. Finally, while the surrounding neighborhood looks safe enough, there seemed to be a loitering issue in the entry common area. Not sure why that was, but I don't believe I would feel comfortable if I were a solo female traveller. My advice: spend a few extra bucks and stay at one of the more upscale chains nearby. 더 보기

We had a nice room, but noise from a local party next door kept is awake.

cheap hotel very adequate if you just need a place to stay for a short time. breakfast was fine and room was clean.

It was great, relaxing and stress free. Easy on/ff of highways. Middle of mall and inner harbor...

The room had comfortable beds, a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Only complaint - no belgian waffles for breakfast.

You get what you pay for. The hotel served its purpose for a quick in and out stay on business near BWI. It seems to be a lot of locals that live there keeping up noise and smoking in the hallway. It finally got quiet around midnight!

For years one of the great drawing cards of the BWI hotels was that you could park your car with them for free while on vacation IF you spent the night before you left there, saving substantial parking fees at the airport. ONLY THING DIDNT LIKE MIRRORS ABOVE THE BED ENTIRE LENGTH OF ROOM, ALWAYS FELT LIKE SOMEONE WAS ON OTHERSIDE.

Had very early flight, shuttle runs every half hour 24/7 - very convenient. Room clean & comfortable.

Its good if you're in a financial bind. Other than that, go somewhere else. Between the noise from the kids in the hall to the humming tv from 1998, it's just not worth it. The room reminded me of a free clinic circa '92.

We had stayed here once about a year ago and both experiences were fine. It's a good value, relatively clean common areas and well appointed. Staff adequate. Room small but clean. It's certainly not The Ritz but if you are looking for an affordable place to stay close to the airport and access to several highways you'll do fine here.

I can't help it. I love this hotel. No frills, no bells, no whistles, no nothing. But it works. I use it as a launching point when I have to leave early in the morning on a crack of dawn train or airplane, so my needs are minimal. hotel staff very friendly and helpful.I will definitly stay again on my next trip.

My first stay was awlful. There was a medium sized wet spot, room 143 or 123, and i called the front desk adn the older gentleman came down and told me to just put a towel down. I tried to explain that it was not wet due to a spill, but that something was wrong under the carpet. So i put something down and the towel turned yellowish-brown. He said he […] could not move me until the next day and he would contact me then. No one ever contacted me and when i brought it up at the counter, upon my check out, i was given an attitude and questioned as to why i didn't bring up to someone the next day. This was a younger gentleman. I didn't ask for any type of refund so i didn't enjoy the conversation upon my check out. When i stayed the second time, the room was good but the quality of the tv was horrible. The color was so off i actually7 went out and bought a tv remote to try and fix the problem but the tv was in need of more repair then what i could do with the color adjustments. I do feel i was owed an apology for the way i was treated and i am curious to see if they ever actually tried to fix the problem in the room with the wet floor. 더 보기

I chose this hotel because of the low rate and free 24 hour shuttle, but next time I'm looking elsewhere. The whole night neighboring hotel guests were slamming doors, making noise, and running and screaming down the hallway. I think I slept 2 hours. I don't know if the other guests are not considerate or if the doors are just loud, but our room would […] shake whenever someone slammed a door throughout the night. I guess since it's an airport hotel people are constantly coming and going (and slamming doors), but it wasn't peaceful. What ever you do ,do not stay here the room was nothing as they said ti would be. no microwave the picture are a true lie ! there where dead cock roaches in the bathroom. No blankets on the bed.My room was paid for and they still wanted twenty dollars in cash "just in case i mess the room up" is what the person checking me in said ! every time the people […] next door would leave there room our door popped open. The rate was nice but not for what we got it should have been free ! the breakfast was a waffle machine with a cup in it that you had to fill with batter to make your own waffles and a coffee machine that did not work ! i'm telling you i've stay in a lot of hotels beacuse my work sends all around but this place was the worst ! if you pay to stay here you mind as well burn your money with a lighter or throw it in the trash 더 보기

Nice for the price

The cleaning staff came into my room while I was not clothed!!! She knocked and then open th door. and proceeded to ask me if I any cleaning done to my room I time her no an to close the door and continued to ask me if I wanted my room cleaned?!?!? I had the door sign on the door. so from now on keep your door locked!!!

I had read a recent review of the Microtel that said the carpet was stained etc. so I was a bit leary. The four of us had two rooms before our flight and both were absolutely clean and comfortable. It was very convenient to the airport and you certainly can't beat the price, especially with breakfast included!

Room was fine, internet was good, service was good. My only complaint was the shuttle pickup, which was very late to arrive. I stood outside, late at night in the cold waiting for the shuttle to pick me up and it was so late that after 25 minutes I finally got a ride with another shuttle that was going to a nearby hotel and paid the driver a little […] extra. 더 보기

MY STAY WAS VERY CONVENIENT & THE PEOPLE WAS VERY NICE.

It was a nice and very affordable room. They do have a deli that delivers until 2am, they are a tad bit expensive but its convenient. The headboards are mirrors which are dangerous to kids but its nice.

I left on a 530 a.m. shuttle so had a delicious waffle and was on my way. very nice hotel and desk person .

The night was long due to noisy neighbors who talked past midnight. Some sort of sound proofing would be really good. Had to get up at 4 am, so the noise was particulary irritating.

One of the worst mattresses for a barebones type of hotel I have experienced. Threw last half of breakfast away with rubbery bagel but no better choices. Eating out a better prospect. Have stayed in a number of other Microtel Hotels and they have been decent. Not great but decent but this stay was pretty marginal

you get what you pay for......needed one night close to airport....wished i had paid a few extra dollars to get some real rest.
